Hi there! Love the look of the new Fitbit Versa! However, any word on if Iphone users will be able to access the quick reply text feature? Or is that only going to be offered to Andrioid users permanently?

Thanks!

Hi! Is there any updates on this quick reply feature?

Best Answer
Still nothing. And I also notice that they removed ”quick reply” as a feature in the Fitbit store. And by this I get the feeling that this feature will never come.

But what makes me most upset and what really makes me wanna change from Fitbit, is that they don’t say anything about this. They don’t update about this question or don’t even bother to reply in this forum. They are complete quite (says nothing).

The updates for Versa rolled out this week...here in Canada anyway. And it clearly said the quick reply was for android only. I took back 2 consecutive Apple watches because of issues. The store I bought them at has a 30 day return policy. Ditto for the FitBits they sell. If you can return it and buy something that allows replies. I'm keeping the Versa despite lack of reply feature. I have a phone to reply to important messages, and most are not of a medical emergency or urgent nature, so they can wait. At least I know I have a message(s) and can make a decision.

And, I don't jog, so my phone is with me at all times.

I actually looked into the Versa, Ionic and an Iwatcg and i recall as a
feature quick responses but it didn’t say for Android users only or not
available for Iphone at this point. I was a bit surprised that it wasn’t
available but with my original Fitbit and Charhe 2 I wasn’t able to reply
either so I was frustrated that it didn’t say it but it wasn’t that big of
a deal. I ordered mine through my fitbit app and actually was using an
android phone at the time because I cracked my iPhone screen and got the
phone fixed about the same time it got my Versa.. I can see the texts and
if I need to respond I grab my phone but I was irritated it didn’t say
anything about not being available for iPhones. My best friend has had her
iwatch for about a year and rarely uses it. She says it often doesn’t go
through, like you said I’m keeping mine, I love it and hopefully I’ll gst
the ability to quick respond soon but I’m ok until then. 😉👍

What month will this happen? By this point I’m doubting if Fitbit ever will. I would love if they would and I would be more happy with the Fitbit versa. Fitbit would definitely get more business.

also when I got mine from QVC they advertised you can pay from the Versa.  After I got it, realized only on special ones that have it written in the small print on the back of the watch.  Disappointed in both these issues.

It’s beyond explanation, that FitBit has not yet figured this one out. They misrepresented that they had this feature.

Exactly, i had it on Samsung never used it....

Come om when you practice take your time and mind off.

when you are in a meeting, dont respond... i would kill anyone at a meeting that needed to answer...

why are people so eager for this feature... 🙂

Hail to the silence and no respond feature.

if it is so important that you need to answer the the short message cannot fulfill this anyway... and the bastards at the other end think you have time for them, and keeps writing to you....

i loove fitbit and apple cant fix this 🤣🤣🤣

When you buy something for a specific feature as advertised then it doesn’t have it, it’s a waste of your money. It’s false advertising which is illegal. It’s huge corporations conning thousands of pounds out of their consumers who are left with useless technology.

Who are you to know what important reasons we have for the urgent need to contact or reply each other??

That must have been the most stupid and irrelevant answer I heard for a long time!

You can’t say what other people have for needs!
And also that’s how companies compete against each other, by offering different features. That’s also why people have different brands. Or else everybody had purchased the same watch, if it wasn’t for the features.

What would you have said if they offered 5 days of battery life but in reality it was only one day?
Or a car advertised that the car had 200 hp, but in reality it only had 100?
Meaning that you can’t sell products that doesn’t live up to what it is. That’s false advertising or even scamming.

I was choosing for a long time between versa and Apple Watch. And ended up choosing versa because I had Fitbit before, because of battery life and quick reply. And if I did now I would most likely choose apple.

I could live without quick replies, but same as you could live with a 100 hp car instead of 200 hp car after purchased it. But for me it’s the principal, and see it as I have been cheated.

People have different needs, and you can’t sit there and make up a stupid scenario on how it would be if someone sits in a meeting and get a text.

Maybe when you by a ticket to Mexico, in a five star hotel for 3000 dollars, and end up in Afghanistan in a one star hotel, you use the same dialogue! At least it’s sun and you are in a hotel!

I think you are replying to the wrong message. I agree that misrepresentation is wrong (and illegal).

Will this please be fixed like come on now I paid 300 dollars for it(And I’m sure tons of others have)When it came out and I could have bought a Apple Watch at least fix it this year please Try to get it other people want it too it’s like you guys don’t focus om features. I know Fitbit is about weight and stuff and it does a great job but you guys should add some features this feature or I might go for a Apple Watch I’m on a iOS device

I had Fitbit for many years, starting with the first one and in the end the Versa. After weeks of head scrubbing I finally changed to Apple Watch just because of this issue. But honestly mostly because the lack of answers or even telling us something. It feels like they don’t give a **ahem**.

I love Fitbit but when they don’t even reply on this post or even on messages to them, I choose apple. My Fitbit Versa is now in my drawer collecting dust!!

I agree! No where does it say that some features wouldn’t work with an iPhone. I hate it I wouldn’t have purchased it

It’s sad that it says quick reply is compatible with iPhone. I literally just got one and was told that I was reassured by the fitbit guy and now after $229 spent it doesn’t do it I can answer a call on the Fitbit versa lite and it will answer the call on my iPhone but nothing else. If anything texts messages fine but how about what’s app Facebook messenger those should be perfectly fine to use quick reply
