versa won't stay synced with app

My Versa will not stay connected to the app.  EVERY time i want to access the app, I see that it has not synced for at least a day.  I restart the phone, I restart the bluetooth, and I re-boot the Versa,  and then I wait while it takes forever (IF it eventually works) to re-connect.  and yes, I have the All Day Sync turned on.  I have now been trying for 4 hours to get them connected.  The other problem I noticed, my clock was 5 minutes slow,  and now it is randomly 2 hours fast.   The watch won't let me fix the time, so I have to do it through the app or the dashboard, which I cannot connect too, so I now have a competely useless piece of plastic on my arm that doesn't even tell the correct time.

Make sure you have location on.

I finally had this working by turning off battery optimizations and locking the app in the background, but after another Fitbit app update notifications stopped working again. The synchronization seems to be working, but no notifications. I've re-enabled the permissions, deleted and re-paired my Versa, force stopped the app and relaunched - nothing is working. This is so annoying.

I have sporadic synchronization, but to make sure it synchronizes, I have to open the app periodically.

I've had no notifications in about a month.

I have been having the same issue I tried going to notifications and selecting  Notification grouping by app instead of automatic and leaving the app running in the background so far it is staying synced

I'm having the same problem.  Clock has to be reset everyday.  Not syncing, clock is off by 20 minutes.  Will not notify. i keep following instructions.  Frustrating!  As you said an expensive band on my arm.  Thinking about going back to my everyday watch.

  • Okay VERY VERY FRUSTRATED.  I received a versa 2 for Christmas.  It did not pair at all to my less than yr old Samsung Galaxy S9.  So we went to the form and tried every suggestion all the way back to 2018 posts. Finally was ready to clear it and send it back. It finally somehow connected and did everything it was so for 3 weeks and loved it.  All of a sudden it will won't even show up as a device in my bluetooth recognized devices.  Again spent all evening yesterday doing all the suggestions checking all the settings and still nothing.  You would think after having the same issue since 2018 (unsure if it goes back back farther) this would be resolved. I bought a cheap **ahem** no name similar item to see if I wanted to spend 2-4 hundred dollars on a Fitbit and had ABSOLUTELY NO issues with syncing it, dropping connection or it disappearing from my bluetooth recognized devices.  Pls have someone contact me about this, so I can resolve this or decide if I want to return this and find another like product to use.

I have tried this several times. At first it worked and would re-sync. However now even that is not working.

Did it all and it still won't sync.
