It would be great if we were able to turn off/disable the vibration on the automatic goal notification. It can be quite startling. My heart just about stops almost everytime it happens.
Has any one tried experimentering by changing the "main goal" to something that won't occur during night? Fx set "Active Minutes" as main goal. Will that stop triggering notifications of fx "calories burned"?
I'm not sure why when I search how to turn off vibration for notifications I end up on a thread about turning off notification for daily goal? I am more concerned about being able to turn off the vibration for notifications. It is annoying to get vibrated all night long while emails are coming in. It would be really nice if you could choose whether the notifications vibrate for each thing you have set up for notifications. I would like text notification vibrations but while I want my emails to come through I don't want to be vibrated on those.
I agree...I set my goals very high so it won't vibrate...so have many others. I get lots of these emails. They don't seem to care. I do like the fitbit...but wish i could set the goals where I want them and track them. maybe someday they will hear us and respond.
I see many, many requests for the ability to disable notifications/alarms...please let us know why you are not responding to this request. People are irritated by it, startled by it, and it causes pain in some. I would like to be able to track my goals, but don't want to be startled at random times from the vibration...please respond to us. I have a Charge HR.
Please intergrate this. The notification goes off while i am doing interval training and makes me think i am at the end of an interval when I am not. I can set a rediculously high goal for now but this is really quite silly.
I like the goal celebrations but I want to be able to customize the vibration events. For ex, the buzz when a txt comes in is way to long, it should be a fraction of a second, but the phone should be a long buzz. We should be able to find grain set these in the app for notifications
What's the point of having a community forum if Fitbit does not care about user concerns or feedback? This is such a basic item to implement . I am astounded Fitbit has not acted on it.
I like having a step goal I also like knowing I've met it. I do not like being buzzed when I meet my goal. I would appreciate the option to turn off the buzzing or at least something less startling.
Got my first fitbit 2 today and knowing that i do not like the vibrate option on any of my phones etc, that is the first thing i looked for in settings. Have to admit i am very disappointed by not being able to turn off vibrate!
I dislike it so much i wish i had done more research before buying, as that is a deal breaker for me!
Fitbit company should post voting for specific features. Allow customers to vote on features they want to be added or subtracted from software. They should have beta testing groups that own the product and send in reports of features negative or positive. Company should at least have a moderator that reads, regulates, and informs software developers or DevOps of popular customer requests.
I honestly am absolutely flabbergasted that this isn’t a “well, of course we should have that” type of feature.
The fact that you MUST receive daily notifications of reaching some goal is silly, especially when you can “turn it off” by setting it to some arbitrarily high number.
Agreed. How can the developers overlook such a BASIC requirement?
I was woken up in the middle of the night AGAIN just so I could be clearly notified that I had hit my calorie goal. Seriously. It vibrates like an intense alarm.
I can't believe how long Fitbit take to fix basic oversights like this.
If I had known it was impossible to switch off this notification, I would not have bought my Versa. I, logically I think, assumed that it would be possible to switch any and all notifications on or off, in common with other smart devices.
Seeing here that this possibility has been repeatedly requested for years without any action being taken is very disappointing. It’s a shame because other than this I like the Versa.
