Please support this idea by adding your vote, this helps our developers to keep tracking its popularity and demand over time.

Yes please to skiing being added as an exercise.

Alpine skiing should be added to the list of activity shortcuts in order to track speed, distance skied, and see a
map of where skied.

Hi @Joshg1996, thanks for taking the time to share this suggestion about adding Skiing to activity shortcuts. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". I hope to see you around.

I found fitbits answer considering ability to track skiing to be "Under Consideration". Unfortunately that was 4 years ago? Nothing after that? Is it really so difficult? I have Versa 3 at the moment!

We won't hold our breath. We've come to the realization that it's way done
the list for Fitbit. This is why people are buying other devices for this
sport.

@Charliejv This was actually first requested over SEVEN years ago (January 2015) by me and some others.

Like just about all others here who like winter sports, I long ago ditched my Fitbits and have purchased a series of Garmin's and currently have a Fenix 6X Sapphire. Others have gone the Polar route.

@Meliss85
Don't waste your time - I first suggested this in January 2015, more than seven years ago, and it still

hasn't progressed past being "under consideration".

It is quite obvious that Fitbit are not remotely interested in the winter sport community.
I have given up and bought a series of Garmins, the last (and best) being a Fenix 6X Sapphire.
Most people on here, have, over the years, thrown their Fitbits in the bin and bought either a Garmin or Polar.

Under Consideration for almost 4 years. Wow. Will we get this before or after Dark Mode for the iOS app? LOL

Oh it's been under consideration since before 2015 mikey_pdx. They dont give a flying duck

Is this still under consideration? New to Fitbit…would love to see downhill and other forms of skiing as an auto-detect exercise type. Integration/communication with Ski Tracks app would also be amazing!
Thanks!

Considering how long it took you to actually move a finger and consider your customers, shall we expect the same treatment for the implementation on other devices? So around 6 years...

And do not bother adding voting power, the OP probably died waiting for your replies...

plzlol

See you in 2028 for the other devices
