Very frustrated that I can have a charge HR and a Flex on my account but when I bought a second Charge HR in another color I'm not allowed to add it. Please tell me this addition is in the works. I know many would love to have multiples for style and full battery reasons. Thank you.
While on the surface this seems like a very simple request (since they support multiple devices of different models), there are many elements of the Fitbit UI that are done by model which would break down with multiple of the same model. I listed some of them in more detail on this thread, but as an example:
When you set your alarm on one of your multiple Blazes, which one did you just set it on (keep in mind some devices, like the Alta and Blaze have interchangeable bands and you can't distinguish by color)?
I recently had my Fitbit replaced. The replacement was in a different color which was awesome. However, I'm considering getting another black one in the future that way I can have one for when I'm in the gym (for wear and tear) and one to wear to work. I'm disappointed that I can't sync two Charge HR's to one account as it would be ideal. I don't see how this can be a hard fix. Can someone please make this happen?
Please consider the ability of having a second FitBit HR Device on the same account. I would like to have a second HR so that I can always have one charged up and ready to go and not wait for 2 hours to charge my one HR device. I am doing stuff and tracking everything all the time. So Yes those 2 hours are putting a kink in my routine and my numbers! I have to get a different device in order to do this. PLEASE, PLEASE! Help us all out and in the process others will buy different colors to do the same. This will benefit us and you. PLEASE!
Everyone, please go to the features request forum to vote for this, AND CALL the company so they start to realize how many returns they will soon have if they don't add this incredibly obvious feature.
The company hasn't exhibited a lot of common sense in these early years, unfortunately. Makes me wonder if they had focus groups, etc. before launching their products. In any event, please go to the features request forum and vote for this feature. Then, please call the company on the phone.
Please vote for this feature and call the company. Seriously, it takes a lot to get their attention. They should THANK US for trying to get them up to speed with the competition.
@Jennifernleavit - this is now the second time I've heard somebody mention the idea of voting for this feature, which makes me really wonder, how exactly do we do that? I thought it was by clicking the "thumbs up" icon on the initial post, which I've done, but if that's not the best/right way, please, enlighten me/us!! I hadn't thought about calling the company- I figured this was the best way to get features requested, but apparently not... I gues a phone call is next. You also made mention of going to the "feature request forum" to vote... I thought this thread was already in the feature request forum, but maybe that's not what you meant (or I'm confused!)... Any additional assistance would be appreciated!
I agree! I am a phys ed teacher and during the school year I love the Charge HR! During the summer though, I love my Zip for the ability to hide it in my pocket instead if getting a watch band tan line from the Charge HR. I have to switch out devices and delete it from my account to do this. Please add a feature to allow more than one tracking device for accounts! Thanks for considering.
People have been asking this question for well over 2 years and still no progress on a solution. So frustrating. I just received a new replacement Charge HR (because the plastic band keeper on my original broke and they don't have a replacement, don't get me started on that fiasco) and the only way to swap betwen the two was to use the replace tracker feature, which takes about 10 minutes every time. So, what could be a nice benefit that a lot of customers are asking for, takes 10 minutes every time. All they need to do is create a way to name the trackers diferently (ie - HR1, HR2, etc), so the app doesn't get confused, and updating the app for automatic swaps should be a snap. Add this to them not supporting Cyclemeter and I feel like we're all just wasting our time here.
Wasting time AND money. Their lack of response makes me feel like I want to replace my HR (along with two other family devices) with a different brand when the time comes. Why keep buying a Fitbit that doesn't do what I need it to.
Less than 2 years ago they started to ask for the ability to add a second tracker of a different device. This request was made last June, and dod not become popular intl thos year.
Agreed & understood. With every update there will always be new requests as old ones get fulfilled. Now that the option to have multiple trackers is available, the new request is to stop blocked the addition of multiple trackers of the same model. It's something that should have been included in the last update & should be fixed in the next. Of all the requests, this is one of the most logical features to be in the next update.
I just got my second fitbit charge HR in a different color and I would really like to connect it to my account without replacing it with my old one. Please fix this Fitbit
Please can you make it possible to use 2 of the same type of tracker. In my case Charge HR. I have an older one that I use for work and another which is much better condition. Thanks
I also agree that the facility to sync two units to one account would be great.
My original Charge HR is now looking very worn, but is still suitable for the gym etc, and I purchased a new one in the belief that I could use both on one account.
Adding my want for this. I purchased a second Charge HR to have a second color choice and backup device. Read about multi device support and nowhere was there a statement about same devices not being allowed.
I know this has been suggested, but I couldn't find a way to reply to the discussion. I hope it's okay to start a new thread!
I recently purchased a second Flex. I was annoyed to find that these devices don't have a unique identifier associated with them, to enable a user to have multiple trackers of the same model on their account. I have a Charge HR, and two Flexes, and I can't use one of the latter without removing the other one, which is a hell of a process to go through each time you switch trackers to charge one.
The reason I wanted two Flexes is because they're so much more comfortable to wear than the Charge, and I'm very disappointed that I now have a Flex I can't easily use in conjunction with the other.
Every smart device I own has a unique identifier (I own many as I work in app development), and it's not rocket surgery to consider the need for this. It feels like a major oversight, and I'd appreciate it if UIDs for these trackers could be added via a firmware update, and the interface updated to support multiple trackers in this way.
I have to Charge HR's one in black, one in blue for style reasons, yet to swithc between them I have to set up 2 separate accounts...rididculous! Then I don't aggregate info on my total usage. I'm no programmer, but this sounds like something a 6-year old could create.
I have multiple Charge HRs in the different colors. I would like to be able to have more than one Charge HR on my account so I can easily change between the different colors without having to go through a "replace" every time I want to use a different color. (I use the Surge for workouts and the Charge HR for everything else so I already use the multitracker feature...but I want more Fitbits!)
Oh I am WELL in support of this! I bought 2 HRs with the plan of having one on charge & one on wrist, since continuity of heart rate monitoring is my main requirement - but nope, couldn't add the second unit. Gah!
I could always achieve this with my surge and one of the HRs I suppose - charging one while wearing the other - but such a faff around ...
I too just learned of the issue of not allowing (2) Fitbits of the same model to be registered to an account. This is ridiculous. There is a valid reason to allow this, why is this still a problem? At the time of my post, there are (8) pages of comments requesting this feature to be available... with nothing done yet. What will it take to allow (2) Fitbirs of the same model to reside on the same user account?
