I have a Fitbit Ionic and recently received a very nice watch as a gift from my fiance. As such I can no longer wear the Ionic on a daily basis and can only wear it when working out. I was hoping to use MobileTrack on my phone (Pixel 3 XL) but was told by Fitbit Support that is not possible based on the below tech support article. I was also considering purchasing a smaller Fitbit device (Charge 3 HR) to wear on the other arm however that's not possible either. I would like to request a feature that allows all Fitbit devices to be multi-device compatible and automatically switch between different Fitbit devices.
Note that you can't have Fitbit Charge 3, Fitbit Ionic, Fitbit Inspire series, and Fitbit Versa series connected to the same account. If you have any combination of these devices, be sure to have only one connected to your account at a time.

@PetiteP : Naa, I don't think so. I bet it's bad software design. From a Software Developers standpoint, there is no reason this shouldn't work other than some fu'd software design
In the past I have been able to add a new device and see both of them on my profile, also I can swap between them both and I found this a good feature although in the past I was always updating my current model. I am now in a position where I have my everyday Ionic and now a brand new Inspire which I want as a back up model for things like tough mudder.
I have contacted Fitbit on Twitter and they told me that multiple devices isn't available for the Inspire which I found confusing as other models allow this feature and it's also talked about on the fitbit page.
As it stands when I add a new device it kicks out the old one meaning I have to set up a new device every time I swap which isn't ideal.
A) We can confirm that your Inspire has been unpaired when the Ionic was added. This is indeed odd. While our team is looking into this, you can try some basic troubleshooting steps: 1. Log out the Fitbit app. 2. Force close the app. 3. Re-launch the app. 4. Log back in. Then try again setting up your Inspire. Let us know how it goes!
B) We appreciate your letting us know of this and we're aware of the limitation this poses especially with the newer devices you can have on your account. You may share your thoughts on making it possible to have all Fitbit devices on the same account via our feature suggestion page
I agree and will ask Fitbit again if they are reading this...I would "love" to have a Versa in addition to my Charge 3 and possibly the new Aspire HR for night (I have an Alta now).

I have two Ionic's. One burnt orange and one gray. I would prefer to be able to switch between them for charging, or changing looks, without having to set them up each time.
I have faith up to this upcoming Thanksgiving when I make my Christmas list for the new smart watch these have to be done by then...such a good marketing skill!
Why I this not a thing already? I have 3 Fitbits all in different styles, I should be able to switch easily between them. Would they rather I only bought one? I mean, I can return the new Ionic. ::Shrugs::
I would like to see the ability to add 2 ionics. I have 2 ionics and did not know I would have to replace it in the app everytime I wanted to switch. It would be nice to be able to just put the one I want to use on and go instead of having to go through the setup every time. Please add this feature.
Now that the Inspire HR does exactly what I need, I would love to have two of them (or one Inspire and one Ionic).
This is a totally arbitrary limitation that you can fix with a few weeks of dev work and it will help you sell more devices. A typical low hanging fruit since all water resistant ones are basically incompatible with each other.
Allow all fitbits to be connected to one account. I have the Versa and just bought the Inspire not realizing they couldn’t be connected to my account at the same time. I love my Versa but liked the Inspire when I wanted to wear something smaller. I want to be able to use them interchangeably on my account.

Yes!!! I have the Charge 3 and considering getting the Versa Lite (as a replacement for my Flex 2). It would be nice to be able to switch between the Charge 3 and Versa Lite as easily as I can now between the Charge 3 and Flex 2!
It have been a year when Fitbit will look into this? It is very frustrated to keep adding device for Versa & Charge 3 when i inter-changing wearing the 2 devices.
Dear Fitbit Techies - Please get this working ASAP. I had charge3 which is great for sleep tracking as is very light and occasional days but versa for more formal days where I can leave behind charge 3 at charging port and vice versa while not using versa. I hope you listen to many here or me for sure.
