I believe the problem is syncing 2 fitbits to the app play store. I suggested that as a customer we are ok with selecting which fitbit connects to the app store as a trade off to supporting multiple versa's.
It is fitbit that needs to prioritize this software fix. It is an easy fix if they can decide on the approach/trade off.
The more active this thread is the more likely they are likely to notice the demand for such a feature and fix it.
It is beyond me why fitbit is ok with losing the opportunity of customers buying multiple fitbits. $$$$ lost for fitbit and unhappy customers not a winning combination.
With the new generation of devices (those using the app gallery) it is not possible to add more than a single one to the account. If you try to register a second one, the first will be replaced. With older generations of devices it was possible to use multiple trackers (e.g. one for work, one for sports). Why did you remove that possibility? Don't you want us to buy and use more than one device? My wife cannot use wristbands at work and so she would like to use an Inspire with clip for work, but she can't combine it in her account with another of the latest devices. Please bring back the multiple device feature for the latest generation of trackers
Everybody who agrees should not hesitate to click the thumbs up button at the top of this thread to raise awareness with the Fitbit team for this matter! Thanks!
100% agree, isn't their whole marketing scheme to suggest that there's "A fitbit for every occasion"?
Also side note to anyone who is unpairing and repiaring devices because of this (very silly) lack-of-feature, unless the data from the recently used device is synced before hand there is a chance you will loose data. If you're like me and really value this info please take note of this!!!
Hey there, I agree 100% I am very disappointed as I purchase my Versa too so I could change up my wardrobe wearing my charge 3 I'm not happy
about this and I've been a Fitbit user since 2011. Please Fitbit fix it I want to be able to be going back and forth from each one of my fitbit's that I love I have a brand new charge 3 and now it's useless if I want to use the Versa 2. Let's get on a guy's here smart.
I have a Charge 3 and just went to add my new Versa 2. What the heck? I have been using various models of Fitbits for years and have always had multiple trackers connected on my account. When one is charging I switch to the other. I agree with the other comments, nowhere was it mentioned before I purchased the Versa 2 that I would not be able to have them both on my account at the same time. Does anyone know if this will ever be fixed?? If this is a hard "no", I am returning my new tracker. Ugh!!!!
Well it got to the under consideration tab. We got to keep this post rocking so Fitbit understands the backlash and lost sales and returns and prioritize this issue. If u ask me it should be top on their list. A big usability issue. If Fitbit cares anything about stickiness to the brand they better fix it asap. Are you listening fitbit support. ?????
Unfortunately this has been "Under Consideration" for about 2 Years.
If they really cared it would have been addressed 2 years ago. Evidently hundreds/thousands of Christmas returns and dissatisfied customers mean nothing. They made the initial sale then leave the retailer holding the bag....
This will get deleted as most of my posts do but keep it going.
Hi @SunsetRunner. Thanks for explaining why you and your wife would like to link multiple devices in the same account with us! I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". You can check this other suggestion here. Keep adding your suggestions!
Fitbit has adequate time to implement this change that was requested by so many of it's users. Personally, I've lost confidence in Fitbit as they are unresponsive to customer input.
@bemshaswing. Wanting to implement multiple users per account is different from what most users in this thread proposed, which, if I understand correctly, is the ability to use multiple watches - one at a time, exclusively, - per account. I have an IONIC And a Versa 2 (great watch) and was also disappointed that I could only reasonably use one per account. I know you can "switch" but it's onerous. It should/could be a matter of ticking a box or better yet Fitbit determining the active watch by the data coming in with a few safeguards to prevent data overlap/corruption.
You propose two users, which infers the simultaneous use of their Fitbits, requiring the simultaneous tracking of 2 Fitbits, which is not what most propose in this thread. In the case of 2 users why not just have two accounts? You wouldn't want the two users data "blended". Kind of wrecks the point of a fitness tracker. Two users per account is a whole different technical ball of wax. That's more a question of a joint account. An interesting idea.
I have not read all of these posts, but it seems we've been expressing a common frustration for 20+ months, and it does not seem to have been validated. As such, I'm inclined to return the Inspire I just bought, or at least change my opinion of this product line. I wear a Versa on my wrist and carried a Zip in my pocket. I might walk a grand-baby for an hour and only get a few hundred steps on the Versa - a well known issue like pushing a grocery cart ... you're walking but not swinging your arm. No problem, in the past Fitbit saw this and gave me credit based on the Zip. The dog killed the Zip. Fitbit Sales suggested I could buy an Inspire, remove the band, and carry it in my pocket. The did not mention that I could not use both. Not only does it not recognize which one had the most steps that hour, I need to uninstall and reinstall when I switch between them. That won't happen. I know it's a first-world problem, but it's a solvable one. I thought Fitbit could/would do it; maybe Google will. Or maybe it's just a damper on this craze Fitbit is trying to build/maintain. They want to sell us more complex and expensive devices when my priority is a good step counter (the Zip) and the rest just nice to have. If you cannot support a Versa on the wrist and an Inspire in my pocket, then bring back the Zip!
I just bought a Versa 2 to use along with my Ionic and I’m so upset I can’t use both!! I have 5 Apple watches that all work fine under my one Apple ID. Come on Fitbit, please fix this!!
