Allow multiple devices on the same account (Sense/Versa series, Inspire, Charge & Luxe)

Be allowed to have both a Fitbit Versa and a Fitbit Ionic on the same account so you can easily switch between them.

Hi @NeedSyncPls, thanks for explaining why you would like to have the option to sync multiple devices on the same account . I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has been updated as "Under Consideration". I hope to see you around.

Hi,
It’s too bad your response is a total fiction. This is not “Under Consideration”. This complaint has been going on for 7+ years. This is more than enough time to address the issue if it was considered to be important. I would recommend Garmin or Apple or Samsung equivalent devices as a better alternative. The average life of a Fitbit device is 18 months. When mine dies, it will be replaced by a Garmin device if this is not resolved by then.

I have also decided to not stay with Fitbit, instead of paying for premium after the free trial I went to a Garmin with the added stats, no subscription, ability to edit activities, and way more access to MY data at no extra cost... Oh yes and I already have 2 different ones!

Until very recently, a Fitbit user could connect multiple devices to the same account. For years, I used a Surge/Charge combo, then Versa/Charge 2. I just bought a Sense & Charge 4 and learned that it's no longer possible, despite all your content that says it is. None of the devices for sale now can be combined. THIS IS A TERRIBLE STEP BACK.

This needs to be pushed forward and not just under consideration.   I Just purchased the Sense as an additional tracker to go along with my Ionic, One and Surge.   But since I can’t use the Ionic and Sense together, I will most likely be returning the Sense.   I like to change out my trackers.    I know I am not alone in this.

They haven’t been listening for the last 7 years. It doesn’t seem likely that they will start listening now. All we can do is hope and see if we can get someone’s attention.

@YojanaFitbitThanks for recognizing the need... but I agree with @nx01ebs and @Allaregone2day ... this is an important feature and it's a feature that we had available and that Fitbit continues to advertise as possible.. that means that a lot of users (myself included) have multiple devices that we already own but can't use together anymore. This isn't really a feature suggestion. This is a problem.. something that broke at Fitbit.. that needs to be fixed ASAP. We need a strong public commitment and a firm timeline for resolution on this.

For anyone interested.. I also posted on Fitbit's Facebook page. Feel free to join the chorus there, too. I want Fitbit to know how important this is and that they are going in the wrong direction here.

I agree! When my battery dies I switch to another Fitbit. Unfortunately, with the newer models, this can't be done. Someday my old Alta HR will die and then maybe I will switch to an Apple watch like so many others have. Fitbit is NOT listening to us. This is a big issue for thousands of people and they are ignoring it.

@FBUserK I agree.  I have an Ionic and a Versa and a Versa2 and the Versas sit unused because it’s just too inconvenient to keep deleting and adding trackers.  I wanted to buy a Sense but will not buy another Fitbit until this is resolved.  I love my Fitbit’s and have been using them since the first one came out but I’m not buying another until I can have more than one in my account.

My recommendation is to start giving bad reviews to all Fitbit devices for all sites where these are sold pointing out this serious flaw in the Fitbit system. The response just given is word for word what has been written periodically for years. It means absolutely nothing.

@nx01ebsI think you're probably right. I posted on Fitbit's Facebook page yesterday and they removed my post. @YojanaFitbit seems to just be paying us lip service.

They say it is a problem with the app update after certain devices were added.  I have never seen an app GO Backward in capability and users accept like we Fitbit users have.  It's a shame because at one time, they really were the best and users were loyal.  I have had up to five devices on at the same time before, and one day.... it just disappeared.  And now my trusty One stopped syncing and there is just no plan to get it fixed, I guess.......

Yes please change this, I wouldn't have bought the Sense if I knew that and I am thinking of sending it back!  You will disappoint a lot of people who get this for Christmas!!!!

Hi,

Does anyone know the real status of this feature?

Not sure why this is marked as under construction in 2014 and still not available? Something is wrong with this page. How can this be under construction since 2014 where none of the watched in question were even released and looks like the thread started in 2018?

@vin_sFitbit isn't serious about creating this feature. They actually created it and it was possible for a while, but they removed the feature. My opinion? They're all lip service about restoring it.

I posted on Fitbit's Facebook page about the feature. They removed by post from public view and said: "This suggestion isn't the right fit for us at the moment. However, you may still vote for this existing suggestion so we can track customers' interest. We're constantly striving to improve Fitbit products and services, and we very much appreciate all of the input we receive from our customers. Nevertheless, we hope this doesn't stop you from reaching your daily Fitbit goals. Stay healthy and safe!"

@FBUserK  Man, what a bureaucratic, unresponsive response THAT is.  I take this as official notice that Fitbit's answer is no.

I've seen a lot of people agreeing about this problem. Add a post of Facebook so Fitbit might listen to us. The more people that complain about this, the better. Make your voices heard!!!

Years ago they didn’t allow more than one Fitbit to connect.  They resolved that issue and made a lot of people happy.  Now they say it is an app issue.  They need to get a jump on this now.  I think the “person” responding is just posting a canned answer someone came up with.  I have seen so many people responding to this.  My guess is no one is looking at this.  They probably should.  My next post is going to Twitter.  Tired of their BS response on their forum.

People have posted on FB and had those posts removed.  Not good FitBit. Not good.
