Allow night shift reminders to move (or customized hours)

Please allow night shift hours to be selected for reminders to move. I work 7p to 7a at the hospital and the current feature only allows half of my shift to be selected. It doesn't recognize those 12 hours as consecutive hours. It would also be helpful to select different time frames for different days. I work nights 3 days a week, but the rest of the week I am awake and active during the day. I'd like to customize the reminders for certain hours on specified days.

If anything, people who work the graveyard shift need sleep and "walk around" reminders more than most. Please fix this feature asap. Thank you!

I hope that Fit Bit understands that giving you more options for your active time not only benefits night shifters it also benefits people like myself and other elderly people who have difficulty sleeping. Just let us have are active time when we are awake, not necessarily 5 or 14 hours in a row. This would benefit everybody because there are times that everybody has trouble with sleeping,. Anybody's schedules can be disrupted by unforeseen events. I lost my amazing husband to pancreatic cancer and I know from personal experience how active caretakers are. A sleep schedule is unheard of, and believe me you are active!!! When you get a chance to rest it may be during the hours that you spent with them in chemo. By the way that wonderful man worked nights for many years and always said that people seem to think that the world stops turning at six oclock! I do understand what you are going through. God bless you all!

I know exactly what you mean Vample - one day I did over 16,000 steps but wasn't able to get my active hours in!

For those Folks who are posting messges here - please make sure you are Voting on the Original Post - this is what makes the numbers for this suggestion climb.

We'll get there 🙂

Yes please vote, this would be a benefit to so many people. Remember even if you're not a night shifter it could still help you for the reasons I've stated and probably more! Please tell others about this post and get them to vote too we really need a lot of votes. Thank you and God bless you.

Fit Bit, if you are going to introduce a new function and many people start complaining from day one, you need to go back to the drawing board. This fix should be any easy one.

Recently started working third shift, so clearly, I'd like to change my hourly activity goals to night time shifts vs the normal 9-5, but this isn't an option for people who don't work the normal 9-5 daytime hours. Please consider changing this so people who work thirds can have the option of changing it to tailor to their needs. I paid $150 for my fitbit, it is awfully disappointing that I am not able to tailor it to my specific needs and hours.

I work overnights so I sleep during the day. I notice you can't have a activity goal over night and was informed can only do this until 11pm. So that makes that feature a waste to me. Please make a way so I can set an hour activity goal that doesn't end over night. Maybe just have it where you can set any hours for up to 14 consecutive hours or able to set 2 different time settings!

Yes, me too!!! I don't understand why they can't figure out if you have
been active from 12 am to 6am and then again from 6 pm to11:59 pm (or
whatever your hours are) that you have been active for 12 hours in one
day! Duh! I have an hours drive where I shop and lose two of my active
hours every time I shop.. I don't like selecting a period of time to be
active, because I end up setting alarms to wake up and walk or exercise! I
usually sleep during the day. Did you vote on the original post to let
fitbit know that there are a lot of people who want this?

All I can say at this point is "Fitbit are you listening?"

Yes, I asked for this change by phone within the first few days of release. It doesn't make sense; this is a simple re- write of code.

Yes I did! Working from 11pm to 7am is when most of my activity happens.
They definitely need to allow a 24 hour clock!!!

I agree. I recently bought the Alta and was excited about having the activity reminders. I work 1900 to 0700. Upon setting up my new Alta, I was disappointed to find out that I could only set the reminders for less than half of my active period. Activity reminders should be able to be set for a full 24 hour period.

It would be amazing if there was a night shift option for logging meals too, but that seems to be a deficiency across the board of all meal logging programs. No love for us vampires. It's a daywalker's world.

I think we all just need to campaign more - to drive the numbers up.  Considering the number of Fitbit owners "out there" - 134 votes is hardly noteworthy.  It isn't the passion that counts - it's the numbers.

I asked about this as well! Not everyone works during the day. I asked just for any 14 hours consecutive. Right now I can only get part of my waking hours due to I work 1030 to 7 and sleep in the morning in time so it's either a few hours while at work I get or a few hours before work
