Allow us to move or delete Cardio Load prompt

There is a new Activity called Cardio Load on my home page and I cannot move or delete it. I don't care about it. I want to see my Steps on the top of the list and now I can't see them because of this new Activity and the size of my iPhone mini. This is ridiculous.

I too hate cardio load tile. Tells me I'm at risk of overtraining when I'm fine, at risk of under training when in bed with the flu. Don't care, don't want to see it, it is worse than useless. Why can we not delete ANY features we find unhelpful?

The prompt should be disabled if users remove cardio load from their home page. It should have been designed that way to start with.

so, there are over 400 people commenting on this thread saying how annoying this feature is, and I’m adding my voice. Why won’t Fitbit respond? It should be easy to turn off a feature, especially one that nobody wants. Please do it!

I agree, the fact we cannot remove this notification on the front page of our FitBit app is INSANE. I have deleted the data at least 10 times in the last two months and nothing works. We need the ability to remove this!!!!!!

Just here to add another comment until this is resolved. Not just the tile being removed, but the prompts as well. Please stop them or allow us to opt out.

It would be so bad if it would reflect what the device says. Today I'm told I'm over training with 2 'peak' minutes which for me are HR over 140.  Yet my Versa 2 says my HR never got over 116 today. If it isn't accurate what good is it?

This prompt is uncalled for, unscientific, and cannot be removed no matter how many settings I tried to discover on this app. I have, at the very least, canceled my premium membership because I refuse to pay them an extra dime on top of what I’ve given them already

These reminders don't make any sense, 2 days it tells me I've been pushing myself, to slow down, the next day it says I've been undertraining. This is not helpful. No one asked for these kind of inconsistent, questionable and patronizing reminders, please remove them or I'll switch to another tracker.

Just like everyone else, I hate these Home Screen message suggestions so much. They are the opposite of encouraging and are not even accurate. Please give us the option to remove them permanently. I’m considering leaving FitBit over it.

I've stopped wearing my Fitbit because the feedback cardio load gives is so contrary to my experience and other data.

It's poorly made. It's judgy. It scolds me for slacking off after I've logged 150 zone minutes in a single day. If this is an attempt to force me to engage with new features, it's having the opposite effect and making me look at competing trackers. I do not want to ever know my watch's opinion of me. I just want data. Please just let me turn it off

Absolutely agree. Cardio load is a garbage stat. I can have 80 active minutes and it will still tell me I am 'undertraining'. It's ridiculous. Consider changing to a different brand of device because I don't need it telling me I need to 'pick it up'.

Can Fitbit please provide a way (for users like me) to turn off all those like the one below. I'm not interested in them and don't want to get them. Looks like there are lots of comments on this thread but how many does it take to get some type of response from Fitbit.

"Ready to hit your target today? You've been at risk for under training recently."

Thanks

Hey FitBit! We all hate the Cardio Load feature. Just do something about it. Please.

I don't object to the cardio load as it's a useful metric but the message is illogical and unhelpful as well as shaming.

For the last two days I've been told to slow down as I am at risk of overtraining. This morning I get told I need to increase as I am at risk of under training. (I was at the top of or exceeded the recommendation most days last week).

Today is one of my gym days and I will greatly exceed the recommendation so no doubt tomorrow will be told I am at risk of overtraining.

@cpc54 I am the same! I was being told to slow down, I missed my Saturday workout so now it's saying I'm under training and yet because I will work out tonight and tomorrow it will tell me to slow down again. It's so annoying. I changed it to maintaining instead of improving and it was even worse. I might train every day next week and see if I can break the algorithm! 🤣

Please remove this demoralizing, useless feature that the entire athletic community finds irrelevant and offensive.

Cardio Load notifications should not be there, at all, especially if the user is DISABLED!! For real! I sit in a chair on most days. My Fitbit thinks I'm working out when I'm going to a doctor appointment because I have to go up and down the stairs. Most days it tells me that I'm "at risk" because I'm not going up and down the stairs every day. It's seriously rude. I know my health and cardio levels, and it's different than the average user. I use this app primarily for monitoring sleep, and food calories to burn ratio.

please God, if I have to  hit X to get rid of the message that " I am at risk of under training" one more time I'm going to throw away my Fitbit.. I'm a Physical Therapist with hundreds of zone minutes every week at appropriate levels considering my heart condition. Cardio load is the worst thing ever.  And I cannot turn off this message..

These messages are beyond infuriating. Even trying to close them, I tap the X over and over and it won’t go away. Getting to the point where I’m about to throw my Fitbit in the bin. Why am I getting messages telling me that I need to ‘get back on track to improve my cardio fitness’ when I’ve cycled over 3 hours in the last 3 days and my cardio fitness score is already ‘excellent’? It doesn’t make any sense PLEASE GIVE US THE OPTION TO SWITCH THEM OFF IT CAN’T BE THAT HARD!!!!

Why hasn’t Fitbit addressed and fixed this? It’s obnoxious

Great question jbh28, me personally I don't think they ever intend to fix it. This is just a place to let the users vent lol

I'm 99.9% sure they have no plans to remove it, because when I was a Best Buy yesterday looking at the new Pixel Watch 3, "Cardio Load" was one of the highlighted selling points.

It's a feature, not a bug.

And it has me SERIOUSLY reconsidering my next smartwatch purchase, as well as canceling my Fitbit Premium subscription.

OKmamaJ

One tip to keep the shaming away though -

  • Go into your Fitbit app, and tap on your profile picture.
  • Choose "your data in Fitbit".
  • Under "Data and Features" > Your Fitbit data" - select "deletion options".
  • Scroll down and choose "Cardio load".
  • Select "Delete all cardio load data".
  • Tap "confirm and delete".

This will need to be redone weekly unfortunately, BUT you will know it is time because a message will pop up saying something like "Good news! Your cardio load has been recalculated to (whatever made up number it thinks you should aim for)" and as long as you repeat the cardio load data deletion that day, it won't have a shame message for you the next day.
