Blood pressure Fitbit device with historical tracking

It would be great if Fitbit either created a blood pressure monitor and a glucose monitor that would sync with the dashboard or if they would team up with another company (Omron, diabetic community app) to have their product sync with the dashboard instead of having to manually enter it.

You either clearly do not understand this recommended addition, have an
extremely well hidden capability or simply don't really care what your
community of users' needs and wants. If this capability already exists can
you clearly explain where and how to access it?

Marcel is not saying the software developers have added this. Marcel simply
is stating that the "feature SUGGESTION" already exists ie this thread

Dear Base Runner,

Parsing the sentence carefully, I can see how what you say can be true.  Sad that it takes diagramming sentences to try to cut through smoke and mirrors to understand the message.  I have been suggesting this for over a year, begging for it since I was diagnosed a diabetic.  And, sad to say, all I have been is patronized with pats on the head and the boilerplate message that the suggestion has been entered.  It would be great if someone said, "this is in the works and should be available within a month" or "this is a stupid suggestion, please don't bother us, we're busy," - anything but responses easily generated by a computer that can read but not understand the dozens, maybe hundreds, of requests for this simple addition.

I don't blame Marcel, if she is a real person.  Fitbit has given her a thankless job trying to pacify frustrated customers with pablum.  I do blame the company for not communicating better with their customer base and for not being sensitive to their needs.

I have probably sold two or three dozen Fitbits by my recommendations.  I am about to quit if someone in the company doesn't do a better job of responding to customer concerns. Again, Marcel, if you indeed exist, I am not attacking you.  In fact, I wish you would pass this on to your superiors circled in red so that they can know the horrible place they have put you in.

Okay so why not say that this suggestion has been in the system for 2 years
and we are just ignoring it?

I feel ya, @RevMoose. Maybe try using social media (e.g., Twitter and Facebook) to mention this idea to the company publicly, making sure to include the link to this thread. You might even be able to create a ticket and send it to the company's help desk as a feature suggestion, making sure to include the link to this thread. See if you could get others to vote on this idea, too. My guess is that only ideas with thousands of votes will tend to drum up attention and percolate to the top of the stack. Currently, the backlog of other ideas in the pipeline may, unfortunately, dwarf this idea in terms of popularity and, therefore, perceived importance to the company's developers, executives, and stakeholders.

Yes, the Achu app on my Ionic has the ability to track blood pressure.  And now a friend of mine has the latest iWatch with the blood pressure monitoring built into the watch.  Definitely a feature I am interested in just because I am 47 years old and my BP is only going to increase in needing to be on my daily radar along the blood sugar levels etc.

Also, blood oxygen level. The Ionic and Versa have these sensors but still are not using them to date.

I would upgrade to another $300 or slightly higher Fitbit for these types of features if necessary.

It would be very helpful to myself, and I am sure many other users, to have the ability to continually monitor one's blood pressure as well as any atrial fibrillation.  I realize that I could take my blood pressure on a BP monitor but since it fluctuates a lot during the day by the time I think about getting the monitor and sitting down to take it my BP may be a lot different.  BP is a silent killer and would be very helpful to keep your customers/users from dying from a stroke or from having one and if they are able to monitor their BP continually, it would be a great feature.  The same for atrial fibrillation, by the time your customers/users realize they have it, it may be too late.  Thank you for your consideration.

I see many fit it's only show bpm in tracker and have never had any other heart tracking info...what about adding blood pressure to the Fitbit, like put it in the trackers menu after the bpm info..,then you have a live check of blood pressure with you...just thought I'd ask...if it's too much or can't do it it's ok..just an idea...

I'm seeing a lot of new products that offer blood pressure capabilities. I would also like to be able to download a report monthly of my highest heart rates for a month at a time. Also like to be able to get a report of my BP. I am manually typing in my heart rate and bringing to my Cardiologist monthly

Hi @Beetopsauce! Great suggestion. I've moved it into a similar request.  A lot of users are asking for a blood pressure and glucose option, I hope we receive updates soon.

I just received a response from fitbit regarding blood pressure monitoring on any fitbit.  The answer was no and to add message on the "community" board for people to vote.

Blood pressure monitoring should be available on every device possible!  Other devices/brands have this tool.  Please get this health check on board.

I love it when a moderator says a feature already exists but fails to tell you where or how to get to it does anyone believe that the moderators actually understand the suggestions?

@jsmith95 Not the feature, the SUGGESTION already exists. There are, undoubtedly, lots of duplicate threads on this topic, so instead of having a bunch of scattered threads here and there, it makes more sense to consolidate them into one on which everyone could vote. It's more likely for a developer to take notice of one thread with a thousand votes versus 100 redundant threads, each with 10 votes.
