Bring back step streak on new Fitbit app

I am on day 997 of getting 10,000 or more steps a day in a row. I was looking forward to seeing 1,000 on a few days. I can’t believe you took that feature away.

Besides being annoyed about losing the step streak and not seeing the rings turn green when completed, I am now noticing that my phone and Fitbit are not syncing as well since the app updated. I had a relatively new sense, only a few months old, and now every time I open my app it ask me if I want to pair my sense via bluetooth to my phone, every time! This recently started and is so annoying and it is affecting my battery charge. My Fitbit no longer holds a charge, before app update I could go days before charging now I need to charge everyday! Anyone else having this problem? Also how many of you have moved your Fitbit to your google account? I have not, could that be why my app does not run smoothly anymore?

  • I have not moved mine to the Google either. I was suspicious from the start. I’m not having the same problem that you are with my charge five, linking and battery. But I do notice a big lag between stats updating on the phone. I have to look at the watch to check where my steps are, etc. but I am keeping up my step streak on my own. I have 410 days. Google does seem to have ruined a good thing.

This is making more sense to me as well.  My charge 4 which I purchased last year was running fine.  Then with the Google software update, ie downgrade, my charge 4 began the in consistent data sync with my ios and now the screen on the wearable does not illuminate at all.  I'm simply going off the app for my info.  I do have a replacement inspire 3 arriving Monday. If that doesn't play nice I will migrate off elsewhere.  I do hold out hope our features we're asking to be restored will be. Time will tell.

I too am experiencing my Charge 5 not going as long between charges. In
fact, just yesterday (10/27), I noticed all of the sudden my sleep count
abruptly cut off sometime early in the morning and stopped counting steps.
It turned out the Charge 5 was at 3% charge. Had no clue because the new
app took away the battery indicator.

Apple Watches need charging daily which was one of the reasons I liked
FitBit, but if I’m going to have to charge every 3-4 days, it’s not much of
a savings of aggravation.

It’s apparent Google bought FitBit to kill it for reasons I don’t
understand. However, they will get their wish.

Yes the daily required charge for the apple watch is a buzz kill and I am trying to avoid it as an alternative should the inspire 3 be uninspiring.

I totally agree!!!  I was on a 900+ day streak and the reminder made it easier to do my walk for the day!

I get the same problem. No syncing since 10/13.and my battery isn’t lasting
as long either. I tried to open a complaint on the product info page but
can’t figure out how to do that. It keeps asking me to search for other
issues, so I tried blue tooth then sync and there’s nothing.

Despite my inspire 3 order arriving mom I'm caving quickly to apple watch 6 for less money than inspire. I'm already have iPhone and iPad. Daily charge though is going to the a bummer.

The Goal Streak banner disappeared once the new UI was implemented. That banner was an amazing motivator…I was up to around 823 days when it disappeared. PLEASE reinstate it!! I have been a user since Jan 1st, 2015. Thank you!!

It’s probably a safer bet. I don’t mind having to charge every day. At
least it works😆😆😆

The step streak made a big difference in how faithfully I exercised.  It is greatly missed.

The daily charge wouldn't be a hinderence? I'm surprised so many people tolerate it. How do you get a full day of activity logged and monitor sleep, everyday, without the recharge? If you don't charge once, I'd imagine either activity or sleep would have to be skipped to make up for the lost charge?

I hear you. What I do is charge my tracker while sitting watching tv. And
if I love heart data during that time, it’s negligible.

But let me caution you, I had to reset my watch last night because it
stopped recording my steps. And because I can’t sync up right now, I
couldn’t sync up the time and now my tracker is 7 hours ahead. Midnight my
watches time my data reset. That totally broke my 520 step streak. I am
soooooo dine with this
Time to move to apple

I really look forward to seeing the days in a row I achieved my goal.  I also shared it with other Fitbit users to help moviate them!  Hopefully you will restore this feature soon! I’ve achieved my goal daily since 1/20/2022!

Now I need to use an count down web site to check on the days I achieved my goal in a row

Yes fingers crossed. I returned the inspire 3 last Thursday and remain off the Google grid til software shows otherwise.

Please bring back step streak.

Please show battery % on home screen of app.

Consider colored icons that fill in when a goal is achieved. The new uni-color and check marks are so drab and boring. I miss my weekly “everything filled in day” when all goals were achieved.

It is unbelievable that Fitbit removed streak from the app. Besides the obvious step counting, it’s the most motivating thing about staying on track which is why I have bought so many fitbits for myself and others. I will be trying Apple products out next time.
