Bring back step streak on new Fitbit app

I am on day 997 of getting 10,000 or more steps a day in a row. I was looking forward to seeing 1,000 on a few days. I can’t believe you took that feature away.

Mine has now been fine for several months. I’m not sure what did it. I deleted and reinstalled the app, rebooted several times. And finally it just started working again with no missed steps! I’m closing in on three years without missing a day. I have started periodically listing my steps on a calendar in case they go away again on line. Good luck!!

Kathiheale,

Thanks for the suggestion. Do you know if anyone has tried this, and if
so, did it work?

I’ve tried it and someone else just posted that they did it and it worked.
You honestly can’t lose
Let me know how it goes, please

I have been dealing with customer service since December. I know most
people had their step streak history data restored but not everyone did.
Mine was not. I tried all the stuff customer service says to do multiple
times to no avail.

Some customer service people told me the step steak was not included with
the app update - they did not know Fitbit had added it back (for some
people).

Did get to a tech person who told me it was a know issue that some peoples
data was not restored. He reviewed my case and said mine was eligible to
be restored. Never happened. More back and forth for months. A month ago
I was told data would be restored within a week. Never happened. Was then
told “we cannot restore the data from here”. I kept pushing (if not “here”
then where?) and was told my data could not be restored but could not tell
me why.

I hope a Fitbit monitor is reviewing this forum. I have been given so many
different answers and misinformation that it’s become a hobby for me to
keep pushing for an honest, knowledgeable answer. I have had Fitbits for
over 10 years.

Their tech support is the pits. Just like this app. I’m sorry you’re going
through this. It’s tiring isn’t it. Amazon is exactly the same way.
don’t know what to say. I’m sorry I couldnt help

IvaJ - this is exactly what happened for me. For 6 months I’ve gotten the runaround and answers that range from ‘We’ve opened a case and it will be resolved soon.’ to ‘’We are not able to restore your step streak’ with no explanation of why. Yet the information is there by month. Both responses I’ve received multiple times from different people.
Once I hit 1000 days, I added a new device/brand so I can add my new total to my 1000 days on Fitbit.
I’ve been wearing both on the slim chance Fitbit will restore my streak and until they take Fitbit to it’s bitter end & no longer support it. I heard that will happen in 2025.

I tried uninstalling and re-installing yesterday and no change, I'm still 1070 days short. I have the same run around from support that Rainmom61 describes above.

I just contacted support and they say that it cannot be fixed. And since they delayed telling me that I also cannot return my new device. They just don't care about customer service or customer experience.

Can you return it to the store you bought it from?

It makes no sense that they can’t restore the step streak since the information is still there by month. They just need to break it down by days. So obviously they just don’t want to.

I bought it directly from Fitbit.

There is no reason they can fix this - my entire 4 years history is showing in the APP, they just don't care.

I’m just waiting for my Fitbit to die then I’ll get a different device!

I’m at 805 days but my Fitbit states 142 days from there arbitrary start
date!!

I have been using my iPhone as a backup!

Very disappointing.  Obviously nothing is going to happen here.  I will be keeping track of my 1300+ consecutive days manually forever.  I wish they cared.  Good luck to us all.
