Call Notification Should Vibrate Like Alarm

When receiving a call the vibration should continue for the duration of the alert ("ringing") on your phone, with the option to "silence" the notification by pressing the button, like the silent alarm function.  In its current state, it's way too easy to miss an incoming call.

Absolutely need this. I find the vibration of the silent alarm is way too intense and wakes me up with a jolt and I feel like I'm going to have a flippin' heart attack!

Yes, I agree.  The vibration intensity is too strong.  I jolt up!

It would be nice if I could select the type of vibrations when getting calls (charge) or setting alarms. Currently it only vibrates once when notifying me of an incoming call. I would like to set it to vibrate until the call is answered or the button on my charge is pushed. Same with the alarms.

Possibly a few different vibration settings to choose from would be helpful to users.

Thanks for sharing this idea @egshane! I've seen a bunch of people interested in this feature and I hope our engineers take it in consideration. Let's see how it goes.

Catch you later!

Just giving this a bump. I just bought a Surge two days ago and so far I've missed 3 calls and have missed 2 silent alarms along with a few text notifications. What's worst was the calls were during working hour, I was in front of my computer with my phone next to me and yet I didn't feel a thing. The vibration just doesn't cut it, we need something that can be modified to suit our lifestyle. The more I missed calls/alarms the more I'll be inclined to switch as this is one of the main features I needed almost every single day. Intensity, pattern and duration would be really helpful! Thanks

Re Fitbit Charge HR; there is definitely a need for improvement for the caller ID notification. One quick vibration is not enough for busy people on the go. When I'm busy, many times when a notification occurs, it goes unnoticed. It needs to be in multiple sets in a way that can not be missed, and be easily identified as an incoming call, like the alarm, albeit a different unique identifiable vibration. Maybe one reason for the single short burst is Fibits engineers way of keeping the battery from draining to fast if frequent calls are received, (which of course would negatively reflect on their product by offering poor battery life). Dear Fitbit; get over that and give us flexible options to program the notifications anyway we want them, and we'll keep our batteries charged accordingly to suit our needs. Flexibility is what we need and want and is what will keep you relative to the market. Remember we are your market!

I would like to see an upgrade with call feature. A pulse vibrate with every ring trill of a phone call. Currently only vibrates a single time during a incoming call. Thanks for allowing me to make the suggestion.

I agree. If I'm active or doing something worn my kids, I can't feel it vibrate the one time... It needs to notify me more than once. 🙂

I agree! It's so incredibly easy to miss a call I have to be really trying to notice that I have a call to notice it vibrated.

i too agree and reallly wish for an upgrade where you can select the duration of vibration and typr.. as in intermitten or continuous... trust it would take only an app upgrade with an option to do so!!!!!

Agreed, I have missed a phone call multiple times due to thinking it was just a sms.

I agree that the call notifications need a stronger and longer vibration.

Likewise...more than 1 vibration for call notification will be great

Please please...add more than 1 vibration like the alarm feature. Fitbit charge is great but what got me was the caller Id expecting it to be More than One signal.please fix this as it only makes sense as a notification feature

I love that my Charge vibrates and notifies me of incoming calls. Would you please consider making it vibrate more than once or vibrate for longer? I have sometimes not felt the single vibration because it's so brief and mild. Thanks in advance for your consideration.

More vibrations needed when receiving a call!! (Charge Hr)

This is frustrating for me as I have missed calls as the caller Id notification lacks substance... as the vibrations needs to be more. There's no point in having caller I'd if it is only one small vibration. If you featuring caller Id It only makes sense to have a strong caller I'd notification.please make this happen
