I am so dissapointed with FitBit's lack of progress on this. I love my FitBit, I love my widows phone. I don't want to give up my FitBit for a Microsoft band, I don't want to give up my windows phone for an iPhone or Android phone.
I really want a Surge but cannot justify the cost to myself as the premium is not worth it if I cannot get Caller ID, text notification, or control of my music.
FitBit has the opportunity to be the "go to wearable for windows phone users" if it adds this feature. I don't want to buy an iPhone or 'droid phone and I don't want to buy an ugly Microsoft band.
Why won't FitBit update their software? What a missed opportunity. This is the only reaon why I won't upgrade to a Surge (plus I don't think you can control the music either.)
Hello @pampurio97! Thank you for the great idea about making Windows Phone supported for call and text notifications. I'll send your request to my team because Fitbit is always trying to make their customers happy with their products and I'm sure there are a lot of users that have a Windows Phone.
Windows OS needs the caller ID feature code updated. One of the main reasons I bought a Fitbit was because it was one of a few trackers that supported Windows OS and now to find not all features advertised are available is disappointing. Please update the app and feature.
I bought my Fitbit Charge specifically to work with my new Nokia 830. Now I'm finding that the Nokia I have isn't supported. PLEASE add caller ID functionality, so my new Fitbit will talk to my new phone.
@DaRockSurge Music control already works with Windows Phone. Notifications won't be available until Microsoft makes the necessary additions to the OS. (Which would probably only happen in Windows 10.)
They should mention it before adding windows support option on web... This is very disappointed 😞.. I spend money :dollar_banknote: for every thing not for just some options.. They just betrayal with us...
i had purchased the fitbit because it was windows phone compatible, which it is but would really love to have the caller id function work please add this update as soon as possible.
So, just found out that Microsoft has their own version offitbit called the Microsoft Band. This does all of what the Fitbit claims to do on all three types of phone (Iphones, androids, and windows,) but they are about $200.00...
The packaging on the Fitbit 'Claims' its compatible with all the phones, but it isn't for Windows Lumia 950 (their newest window phone.)
This isn't the case.
But here's the link if you want to try this instead...
