Challenges not Based on Steps, eg. Sports, Stairs, Active Mins

It would be nice to have different types of challenges that aren't solely based on getting our steps in.

For instance, the number of active minutes in a day, loss challenge, calories, water consumption. Some activities don't count steps such as cycling, skiing or skateboard.  I would like to be able to compete against my friends while doing other activities.

Yes, I need a new challenge. I win step challenges every week. Average 30k steps. Prob about 30-50 floors a day

Same here. I noticed in the beginning that the challenges did motivate me to walk in situations when I wouldn't normally. I figure a stair challenge would do the same for others.

I need this on my blaze. How do I +1 this?

We should be able to create our own challenge and able to add more than 10 people per challenge. As a military spouse, we have neighborhood challenges but we have to create a million different challenges just to include eveyone.

Agree with most of the above, an active minutes challenge would be great. I do a lot of cycling, which doesn't track as steps necessarily, and martial arts where I can't wear my watch.

Agreed! I have colleagues at work who would love to see this too! We have tons of stairs that everyone goes up and down each day as a part of our job!

Actually the challenges are only about steps.

Why not make it about Active minutes or number of sports made in a specific period of time?

Thanks

Agreed that a water challenge would be so beneficial! It would be so fun to encourage my fitbit friends to reach their daily water goal!

Challenges that are based off of total calories burned.

It would be great if we had food intake challenges synced with MyFitnessPal

example:

100g of protein in 1 day

stay under 25g of carbs in 1 day

etc...

We should have stair challenges and stair trails like climbing mountains or very tall buildings

I live in a very flat area and it would be rather had to log any substantial stairs.

Cool idea though.

Any chance of Surge getting the "Remind to Move" feature?

I just ran 19 flights of stairs. In a two story building. And I live in a flat area too. It's about the steps not the terrain

A sleep challenge.
Records most and least sleep.

A challenge that runs for at least a week, but maybe a 1 month and 6 month version too

I too want to see some challenges that measure calories burned. I focus almost exclusively on caloric intake and calories burned. Honestly, I could care less about steps. I do interval training, HIIT, weights and elliptical. Steps aren't important aside from the group of people who walk exclusively as a large part of their exercise. For athletes, we need calorie challenges. Please include in a future update!
