Hi @Jagoji, thanks for taking the time to share this product feedback about having SpO2 tracking on demand on your Charge 6 with us. Because this product feedback was already requested on this board, I’ve moved your post here. Please support this product feedback by adding your vote, this helps our developers to keep tracking its popularity and demand over time.
I also would need an updated SpO2 reader - on my old Fitbits I have recovered the nightly readings, sometimes 170+ per night. I need to track my night time and daytime SpO2. It would be incredibly useful for my doctor to be able to view these numbers. And I am receiving doctor's care for suspected emphysema (from Covid!). I guess I should also mention I've just bought a Pixel 2 watch. Thank you.
Seriously, 4 years on and still nothing on this. Every other brand on the market, including some archaic Samsung phones at this point, support spo2 on demand monitoring, and have done for the best part of half a decade. Why do Google insist on ignoring direct requests from their users, frequently shelving used features, in order to push out solutions no one has asked for...
seriously 4 years and still not able to do it please any moderator any admin anyone from Fitbit please tell us why this is not a standard for a an expensive watch I can get cheaper watches under a hundred bucks that track sp02 continuously and as accurate as any medical spo2 finger device. please someone get on the ball and get this done. it is embarrassing it does not have it.
I just had a cardiac ablation and would REALLY have appreciated the ability to check my current O2 level as I need to be concerned about pulmonary emboli right now. After 4 years and 21 pages of requests, it would seem that FitBit should have enabled this feature by now.
Dear developers - give an answer. Should we wait for the implementation of our requests to include sensors in the work or is this just a sham? I don’t understand why the existing functionality doesn’t work? Could this be a hoax? Maybe your devices don’t have these functions?
I don't think you'll see SpO2 on demand on any Fitbit device. I honestly believe that Google bought Fitbit because they wanted the health algorhythms to implement them in their "Pixel Watch" series, which does as I recall, have the SpO2 on demand, allong with during sleep. I also believe it may have spot SpO2 measurements during the day. Lacking that feature, and realizing how important it is especially during COVID, they are pushing you to purchase the Pixel watch which is all thing to all people that are Android. Or at least in their eyes. It simply ain't gonna happen on a Fitbit device.. Drop another $200 ang get the Pixel watch instead.. *sigh* Such is the corporate oriented society we live in now..
I've been using the bracelet for a week. During this time, data on oxygen have never been recorded; they simply do not exist. No data is collected during sleep, day or night.
Yesterday I bought a Mi 8 bracelet ten times cheaper. And lo and behold, everything is there and works without problems. Counts oxygen at any time.
Just got a charge 6 and thinking about returning it tbh. Largely because of the lack of this function and that it’s a 4 year standing issue and has yet to be addressed, showing a clear lack of interest in changing that. I knew a smart watch could measure SpO2 and I saw that as a feature on the Charge 6. I never imagined that the ability would only be enabled while sleeping. I know I don’t have sleep apnea. I am not concerned about sleeping SpO2. I am however concerned about dropping levels during activity, especially having recovered from Covid… why the heck would it be disabled for on demand/waking hours? This plus Spotify no longer being supported? I can take manual heart rates and I know my activity levels: too much for someone with chronic conditions in triple digit heat. The sleep data regarding cycles might be nice, but otherwise, this is a very expensive watch that requires charging. My $10 timex and a finger to my pulse does mostly the same job???
We are trying to help patients in a clinic by monitoring their bio metrics over a week long period, and come to find out Heart Rate gives us 24 hour periods of data to collect, yet breathing rate, HRV, and SPO2 only give us data for when the patient is asleep.
