Customizable Challenges (like start date, duration etc)

I would like to be able to set which days I want for a challenge. Not all of my friends work a workweek (Mon-Fri). I would like to be able to make a challenge thats like Thurs-Sun or Mon-Wed-Fri. Or whatever days my friends work during that week. Choose teams and partners.

I completely agree with the changes people are coming up with. Having a 10 person max on the number of people per challenge sucks especially when you have a big network of friends that want to be a part of the comps and can't. Please fix the problems so we can continue to enjoy our devices!

Hi please can you consider increasing the number of challenges we can join at any 1 time. Its annoying that we have to wait til midday for challenge to close or have to quit to be able to join another. We are able to have 50-60+ friends but only join 5 challenges at 1 time.

More people is good, but I would love to be able to compete in calories and kilometres and not just steps.  Is this possible and if not, why?

I agree completely - it's a shame for the person that has won that half the competitors disappear before the end of the challenge because they want to start a new one.  Please consider increasing the limit or turning off the limit completely.

Hi when I accept a goal challenge with friends in USA it doesn't start until it hits midnight in my local location, but most have done it 12 hours before I start and left the challenge it is a Monday challenge for them but Tuesday for me as I live in Australia. I think it should be the same as all the other challenges and start all competitors at the same time. Also be able to have more than 10 people in a challenge at a time and ask more than 20 people.

yes this would be great to be able to be in more than 5 challenges at one time I don't know about others but I have over 200 friends and at least 50 of them invite me to their challenges then I invite the others to mine so I think 20 would be a better idea with 20 in each challenge too.

I'd like for us to choose the type of challenge- steps, distance, floors etc. I have a long stride so take less steps than my friends to cover the same distance. I would like to win a challenge one day......

It would be nice if there was a place you could go to on dashboard that had a new challenge for each day, even if it was just trying to beat your previous day. Also more challenges where you can compete with friends would be very motivating. It has been the same 4 challenges forever.

Thank you! I can't agree more with these brililant ideas

Fitbit does not understand that challanges what make having fitbit more enjoyable and challanges what push us forward.

We need new type of  challanges, we need to have more than 5 challanges and we need to be able to add more than 10 person per challange.. I mean they can make it 15 person per challange .. That is a reasonable number.

The flag is so important, they need to do something about the time difference!

It makes no sense to be in a chllange that ends at  pm for me, or to invite someone to a challange while he is about to sleep.

With every new update from fitbit I become so happy, thinking yes, that's the one. they heard our pleas, and they gonna change something about the challanges, but nope.. Nothing.. and with them suggesting that we go to Match up! Really that app crash everyday .. it makes no sense..

Fitbit must no, that challanges is the only thing that keeps us from feeling boring!

I urge you to listen to us..

Please add 7-day challenges. This would even out the challenge between people in significantly different time zones and schedules. Weekend activity is different from weekday activity, and you have different challenges for them. I'm currently in workweek challenges where in one I am -11 hours, and another where I am +10 hours.

I haven't seen much chatter about this. Why are we limited to only "steps" challenges? The Fitbit does a number of things, why not open it up to flights of stairs or active minutes? Steps is boring after a while. Spice it up.

Please increase the number of competitors per challenge to 20 at least. We have a large work group that is very competitive and we all love to cheer each other on! Thank you

Need to be able to be in more than 5 challenges! Changing it to 20 instead of 10 people in a challenge would be nice too!

This seems like an obvious idea that I'm sure you're working on already. But just to elaborate, this would be huge for fitness groups. And would help keep users active by always being challengd. Currently we're limited to only step challenges. That's good for the basic users. However, for the more active users we need more specific challenges (floors, calories burned, water, miles, and active minutes etc.) so that we can continue to be motiviated to use the most out of our fitbits. It also keeps challenges fun and exciting.

In addition to this, it would be great to be able to customize the name of the challenges. So here would be the flow:

  1. Create new challenge
  2. Input challenge name
  3. Select challenge time period (minutes, hours, days, weeks)
  4. Select challenge type (most: steps, floors, calories burned, miles ran, active minutes)
  5. Select friends (or make public)
  6. Add message and additonal rules (offer generic rules)

Please work on this! I think it would be an amazing feature.

    Cheers

I'd love to see non step-based exercise challenges - like number of active minutes, for example, to accomodate those of us who use the FitBit to encourage us to move more during our regular life but whose primary exercise isn't step-based.

bump, bump, bump!!! i thought this was a bug until i realized it's an intentional limitation.. whoa (^.^) that's not cool.. it's 8mins past midnight, figured once the workweek hustle ended i could start up the weekend warrior's, but i was wrong 😞 😞 😞 although they've ended, they're still waiting for sync, andd still holding up slots :smh: ...had to quit one challenge to start another -that is not nice, we should never have to sacrifice with fitbit.. hoping this gathers much more support and soon! Heart

Stepping Up

When I started using fitbit I was a little surprised to see how few challenges there were and that they were all step-only challenges. It seems with all the fitness information fitbit is capable of it would be easy to to create new and unique challenges ("In-the-Zone"/calorie, water, sleep, floors, an "ultimate goal challenge" where you strive to get green in every categories, challenges that are longer than a day). Sometimes feels like lots of missed opportunities and potential, more ways to keep people engaged and increase competitiveness. I would also prefer a "7-day" to the "5-day" step challenge.

How about Team Challenges. Where two or more people can combine their steps against other teams of two or more.

"Custom Challenges, Set Your Own Challenge Targets"

Yes, I work for the school system and we have muliptle breaks. It would be nice to have a custom challenges like Christmas Break Challenge that I was able to set custom dates for this challenge.

Dear Fitbit team,
My co-workers and I use the challenges a lot and it really helps. How about some new ones? I think a "Floors Climbed" challenge, or any customizable options would really help mix it up a bit.
