Customizable Challenges (like start date, duration etc)

I would like to be able to set which days I want for a challenge. Not all of my friends work a workweek (Mon-Fri). I would like to be able to make a challenge thats like Thurs-Sun or Mon-Wed-Fri. Or whatever days my friends work during that week. Choose teams and partners.

This would be brilliant wish they would do this as a lot of people want to create their own challenges 🙂

This is a brilliant idea and should definitely be implemented into the fitbit app

Yes please make this available! I have always been disappointed in how limited the challenges are. It can get tired just doing the workweek challenge everyweek.

I would love to be able to have a challenge created such as 10k a day to kick cancer

it will raise awareness and motivate people to do the recommend 10k everyday for a month if they do in honour of someone taken by the condition

Comparing calories directly isn't fair but calories can be compared as a percentage of BMR. So if my BMR is 2000 and I burn 2500 calories then I've burned 500 extra calories or 25% of my BMR. If your BMR is 1500 and you burn 1900 then you've burned 400 extra calories or 27% of your BMR. Since BMR is calculated based on height, weight, age and gender it's the perfect stat to normalize on for challenges.

We should definitely be able to compete on more things though. Even if it's not fair, I don't care. If I have to work harder than those I'm competing against I'm still up for the challenge. I'd rather have the choice.

I would love to create personalized challenges such as steps per hour goal.

I run some #Slimming World groups & my members would love to be able to all join in together, 10 people per challenge is waaaaay to small!

This is a fantastic idea & exactly what I would love. I have really been enjoying the challenges but would love greater flexibility

I love this idea. Maybe add a way that if the challenge is for a specific cause, then you could dedicate to donate for having so many steps, or even just donate a flat amount. Something similar to Relay for Life, but can be started any day and any time.

I would like to be able to customize challenge start & end times rather than using the default of midnight to midnight.

Just another bump for increasing the limit of 10 people in a challenge. Either to no limit or something much higher (50 or 100, etc).

Would love to see challenges that incorporates more then steps, especially since Fitbit records data such as active minutes or calories burned already. Just take the data recorded and create group challenges based off of it.

I was wondering if Fitbit is considering to:

1) allow more than 10 participants in a challenge.

2) allow users to create their own challenge, select the duration of the challenge (i.e 2-6 weeks) and when it begins (perhaps not on a Monday).

Thanks for the consideration!

I alway joked that we need a sleep challenge but seriously we all need more sleep!  That would be cool - most sleep or met target.

My whole family would like a challenge on Floors!

  • Fitbit, this would be a way to help promote your newest products
  • It would be great for people who like hiking in hilly or mountainous areas
  • Also nice for people who live in multistory houses and apartments

Stridekick is a nice replacement for the Fitbit app. We had 18 people in a challenge recently and you can create custom challenges.
I would love to just do this in the Fitbit app but since they aren't listening, it's time to use a different app.

I am not affiliated with Stridekick. It's Fitbit's fault for not listening.

During the month of March I am participating in The Cancer Councils March Charge event which runs for 1 month with all proceeds being donated to Cancer Research and Prevention. I would like to be able to run a month long challenge which I could invite friends to set a goal to achieve from which they can gain sponsors to donate to the Cancer Councils cause. The month long challenge would be the amount of steps/km in which each participant would commit to doing. The feature of a month long challenge not only would work for his even but is also a great tool to have friends who commit to getting fit together set a longer goal than just a week. There should be a feature where we can create online custom challenges. As Fitbit is so popular why is the list of avaiaibe challenges so short. As part of the Cancer Councils March Charge they offer the option of syncing your Fitbit to the website to track your progress, it would be great to see a month long challenge that could push people to do more. Thank you
