Customizable Challenges (like start date, duration etc)

I would like to be able to set which days I want for a challenge. Not all of my friends work a workweek (Mon-Fri). I would like to be able to make a challenge thats like Thurs-Sun or Mon-Wed-Fri. Or whatever days my friends work during that week. Choose teams and partners.

It world be awesome if there were more challenges available, or the ability to make custom challenges, such as whoever gets the most minutes in peak zone or most active minutes. With all the data available for the charge hr it'd be great to customize challenges beyond just steps. Also, I would like the option of being able to allow friends to see my workout data. Currently we have to send each other screenshots to see each other's workout. It could be a privacy setting to allow others to view perhaps, but that would be an awesome feature. Hopefully these two suggestions are something you're already working on, but I hope to see them implemented in the near future

I agree with @Dresstokill19 because I think most folks would agree that 10K of "very active" steps should score higher than 10K of "fairly active" or 10K of "lightly active" steps.  I would take her comment one step farther. I run a lot and my area has a annual "Grand Prix" composed of several 5K's 4 milers, half-marathons and track races that use age graded scoring.  The idea is that a 45 yo male running a 20 min 5K would have a higher finishing result than a 40 yo male running the same time.  Basicaly age graded scoring compensates for differences in age and gender.  It would be great if fitbit result could show the raw results along with age graded scaling results.  I believe the formulas and tables for computing this are well known.   Maybe users could select the type of challenge they want to create. It would probably make sense to have "raw", "age-graded" or "both".  In the both case you could produce both the raw results and age graded results.  That means you could have multiple "winners" for the same challenge. Just some random thoughts!

Amen to that! I'm getting so bored of the four options.  The ability to customise challenges wold be great or at least have some new ones...

Suggestions:

- climb 100 floors in a day

- reach __ total active minutes

- everyone reaches their step goal for the day or noone gets a badge/reward 🙂

- a step goal for the whole group to attain

And to team up! Like my wife and I vs my sister and her husband. Or my
coworkers vs another group of coworkers. Let us compete but also work
together. It'll help with compatibility

Even, for those athletes who really struggle with rest days, a 'fewest active minutes' daily challenge!

Ya, I have a hard time with rest days too

Please remove the restrictions. I brought my Fitbit especially for the challenges.

+1 to the idea of removing restrictions. Also, if possible will be curious to hear why it was placed in the first place? Hradware scaling issues?

More than 5 challenge limit. When you do 5 and you have some who never sync their trackers that holds up a challenge that you cannot join another. If you just quit without going the the correct process it will eventually catch up to you and you will get locked out stating you are in 5 challenges when you actually may not look like you are. I would like to see a maximum of no more then 10 challenges in total. This give you a chance for the different time zone challenges to end and synce yet still allow you to join you other challenges that you normally do on a regular basis. It's not for people to go overboard although some pelople will always think the can do it all and the hurt themselves but that is their fault. Use common sense people. It's for those of us who are tired of having to wait to join challenges that we want to join and end up missing out because they fill up while we sit back waiting for ours to sync and release so we can join s other. The five limit for those if use who do both week day and week end challenges just isn't working. We are sitting wasting time waiting for challenges to free up so we can join other as our previous ones clear. Help support this cause with me if you agree. Thank you.

There are even some very good reasons to be involved in more than ten challenges:

For a start, only ten people at a time can be in a challenge. I regularly run with 20 or more people. I also am in challenges with friends, relatives and colleagues. I like to challenge my wife to a Daily Showdown. I like to challenge friends and relatives to Workweek Hustles and Weekend Warriors. At times I find friends cannot join me because they are already in too many challenges since they want to compete against their own friends and relatives.

I found a solution! There is a third party app called Matchup (https://matchup.io/) that allows you to compete with more than 10 people at a time with ANY fitness tracker!! woohoo!!! I was just in a competition with upwards of about 500 people!

But seriously Fitbit, get on it.

Add one more to the number of those wishing to remove the restrictions AND to remove the time it takes for old challenges to drop.  The challenges are one of my major motivators and the limitation is frustrating!

Good idea, kaydeeDesai! Come on Fitbit; are you going to continue to count
on 3rd party apps to improve what you already know you're lacking? Also,
the limit of 5 challenges at a time is really getting ridiculous, too.
Today I was actively participating in 3 challenges. I trird to accept
another challenge for today, but couldn't because of 2 challenges that had
ended over 14 hours prior!

I agree with the 5 challenge max being removed as well as allowing more than just 10 people to be in a single challenge!!!!

Would love some challenges that are 'heart rate' based and also active minute based

The amount of challenges should be increased to 10.  This will enable users to interact with more of their friends and challenge themselves with more steps with a variety of people at all fitness levels.

I am in total agreement. The 5 challenge maximum rule needs to be removed completely. This is a fitness and wellness app, why would you put limitations on how active your users can be by limiting our ability to be in more than 5 challenges at a time. This also should be applied to the no more than 10 people in a challenge rule. Why should you limit the number of participants in a challenge when you can't be in more than 5 challenges at a time? It seems very counterproductive to the health and wellness community Fitbit has developed. Please have both the 5 challenge maximum and 10 participant maximums removed immediately. And also provide some feedback to your users. By ignoring us, you risk the loss of dedicated members to another product.

I agree with you 100%. Today I could not join a challenge and am very annoyed. I am on the verge of not caring any more. And that is not good for Fitbit.

The Challenges is what separates Fitbit from the competition. This issue needs to be Prioritized and fixed very soon, or it will be too late to get customers back.

Agreed! This feels very limiting. Either open up to have more than 5 challenges, OR increase the number of allowable participants per challenge

Yes, offer additional of challenges or more users per challenge, even if you make it a premium feature. I want to see it happen either way.

Can you make more challenges for friends other than steps? Such as Calorie Burn? Time above X bpm's? Distance covered vs time it took vs Pace? Steps only show how much you are moving around and not related to actual workouts.

Can we get some confirmation that fitbit is even looking at this? We need more votes!

There is a lot of feedback on this.  Does anyone know why there is a limit?  If this is a technical problem then help explain?   Even if we are NOT changing the limit can we at least have some way of letting people know we are not ignoring them and the system refuses to let us work as a team?
