Customizable Challenges (like start date, duration etc)

I would like to be able to set which days I want for a challenge. Not all of my friends work a workweek (Mon-Fri). I would like to be able to make a challenge thats like Thurs-Sun or Mon-Wed-Fri. Or whatever days my friends work during that week. Choose teams and partners.

Its hightime that FITBIT challenges lets us invite more than 10. Why is there a limit to 10 That should be a really simple thing, with 1000's of users already requesting the same, this should be taken care.Come on Fitibit Team, get this added soon.

This really needs to be addressed. It is so frustrating that you can only have 10 people in your challenge and then you get invites from all your friends when there are 4 options of different challenges. 5 is just not enough. I dont understand why there is a limit! Looks like this has been an issue for a while. Let's open it up and let others continue to motivate others! Thanks for the awesome product Fitbit!! Let's improve the challenges! 🙂

I wish we could make our own custom challenges. My job does challenges for various number of days (7 days, 14 days, 21 days, 30 days, 100 days etc) I work for Humana and we have a 100 day dash that they run for employees and members. It'd be awesome if we could create the same challenge within fitbit.

I too would like to see the five challenge limit and also the 10 person limit lifted. I often have to pick and choose who I can and cant invite and sometimes it leaves friends out which defeats the purpose. Also it takes a while to synch everyone and so you are left waiting because it counts as a challenge even though it ended some hours before. Thanks for consideration. Lifting the five limit challenge would be a good beginning.

Along with removing the 5 challenge maximum can you please increase the number of challengers. I have a group of coworkers and there are 20 of us. It would be awesome to all be in the same challenge together. Thank you!

Remove 5 maximum challenges at a time and give people 8 hrs to sync instead of 12

Wow thanks for suggesting this. If you guys could figure out a way to does this it would be huge.

I had quite a list of "Fitbit Friends" on my Fitbit Friends List... It got to be more than 50, anyway...  So, individually, we would have been able to interact MORE with one another if we could actually enjoy a challenge or two together...  Not with this limitation...  Having to pick and choose...  Sort of "prioritize", is a little disheartening.  I'd love it if this limitation were just removed altogether and left UP TO the Fitbit User to decide HOW MANY challenges they would join or create.

@lovecaitlife Great idea! I could see a lot of users benefiting from this feature, especially if they have a big family like yourself or have a lot of Fitbit friends. I will pass along this request on to the team for further review.

Thanks for posting on the Feature Request Board!

@Luke_Lindblom I like this idea a lot! It would be great to be able to set a custom time limit for Challenges and I could see this adding a unique element to Challenges. Thanks for sharing it on the Feature Request Board!

I agree, fitbit needs to fix this before another company figures out their mistakes and does it better

I have seen to many now the need for the need more challenges. Please see what you can do to remove the max limit for challenges. We have a large group we are working with that Telly are benefiting from our challenges and it makes it hard when we have to pick and choose. Right now I can not accept a daily goal because I have too many weekly and have my weekends already mapped out.

apart from the fact that I love Fitbit, the app and my Charge there is one thing that I would like to see with challenges and that is the opportunity to not compete on steps but calories or distance. Mainly calories for me if I had to choose. Thanks guys!

Hello,

I too am hoping the 5 maximum challenges will change.  I find myself being very selective in the challenges I accept, as I don't want to max out and then not be able to enter one I really want to participate in.

An unlimited amount of challengers would be amazing! We have so many Fitbit users in our office and it's sad that we all can't be in the same challenge with one another. Let's get it added!

You all should check out something like Matchup, we had this need too at our company, but it was beyond that.. it was also that we all had Fitbit and a small percentage had Garmin or Jawbone... Matchup let us all create challenges and play together.

You can all use an app like Matchup.io to do this. They have a web and mobile app allowing you all to play and create challenges. We LOOOVE our fitbit's, but some of our users had Jawbone's (booooo) so we had to find a platform that did both and found them. Check em out - matchup.io

Hello,

Could you please please please increase the challenge participant limit from 10-20? I work at a major IT company and a whole bunch of us threw out our jawbones and bought charges (all models) and one of the main reasons is the accuracy and the challenges. We loooooooooooove challenging eachother but now we have over 30 people in the US and CANADA (about 1/6th of our team) that have fitbits and we cannnot challenge eachother. When I can't join a challenge I dont even pay attention to step or anything. Please change this.

Hi - I totally agree, we ran into this same problem at my company and have over 1K users, but some even have different devices. We use a service called Matchup. They seem to be a good fit for what you are asking. Check them out - matchup.io

You should be able to select specific dates to run challenges. Currently there are 7 day and monthly challenges; however there is no way to set up a challenge before the challenge starts or to designate specific dates. Our company purchased 250 fitbits and was completely mislead about corporate wellness challenges. You should also be able to add more than 10 people at a time. We have nearly 900 employees!

Yes!! 10 is an insanely low number, considering how popular FitBit is getting now. Pretty sure, everyone finds this limit too low.

In fact it is so frustrating that a couple of my friends stopped using fitbit altogether because they could not get into our weekly challenges! 😞

Looks like based on these comments, this has been in discussion for some time now.  Any updates on when the # of challenges or # of participants per challenge will be increased?
