Customizable Challenges (like start date, duration etc)

I would like to be able to set which days I want for a challenge. Not all of my friends work a workweek (Mon-Fri). I would like to be able to make a challenge thats like Thurs-Sun or Mon-Wed-Fri. Or whatever days my friends work during that week. Choose teams and partners.

I'd love new challenges especially one with other runners

The Middle East has a weekend on a Friday and Saturday and working week Sunday - Thursday. I’d like an option to change the workweek hustle start / end day and the weekend warrior start / end day.

Thanks

Hi @TOR1, thanks for explaining why you would like to have this option. I've moved it into a similar suggestion which has a lot of votes. As the more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains. You can learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs.

I think you should add more challenges to your stock 5, including one where you can set up a customisable challenge.

You should be able to set

when it starts in terms of time and day

when it finishes (after reaching a certain goal or after a certain time, both of which can be set)

What are the aims, (steps, floors, calories or active minutes) or multiples of these

so you could set up your own challenge to for example be the first the get 20,000 steps, 40 floors and 60 active minutes from a set time.

or you could see who can get the most completed floors in a three week period.

For those of us who are not lucky enough to have a Monday through Friday job a Sunday through Saturday workweek hustle would be awesome! Normally two of my work days don’t even show up in the challenge because they are Saturday and Sunday. And no I’m not a fan of the weekend warrior considering to me it’s basically supposed to encourage you to get up and move on your days off which is not the case for a large amount of people. 7 day workweek hustle would be fantastic!!

It would be cool to have more ways to compete with your friends, than only steps. For example: getting points for how long you are in a percentage of max HR, like the myZone does.

I want to increase my walking after work.  And my current challenge mates all have different walking habits at work from 13000 to 2000.  It’s hard to stay motivated when you get so far behind.  I would like a challenge I could set the times.  Is that possible?  Thx

Hi @Catwalk33! That’s an interesting idea and could be useful, thanks for sharing it.  I've moved it into a similar suggestion, as the more votes and comments an idea has the more visibility and momentum it gains. This has been out there for two years?? Fitbit doesn’t care. If they haven’t made a monthly challenge by now, even though a high % want it I’m betting, I suppose they never will.

It would be great to be able to set your own challange! We have a FB group with insulin resistance people, all having fitbits, but we cant make an own challange. That sucks since garmin, endomondo and other apps has that. Will fitbit also make it able for fitbit owners? It's gonna make people more motivated and five them flexibility to excercise whenever they want. Can you please do something about it? 🙂

Is there any plans in increasing the number of people allow in a specific challenge??? I work in a school and we have a growing number of ppl who have fitbits but can’t all fit in one challenge anymore. We love the competition and it keeps us moving but we don’t want to leave ppl out due to the limit.

Is this still under consideration? It’s been years...

Agree! And I would love different types of challenges. Believe it or not, I wanted a Fitbit to track workouts and HR, not steps. It’s a bummer that it still mainly feels like a step tracker and to me, fitness is a lot more than steps!

I'm now trading in my fitbit blaze to pre-order the new Samsung galaxy
watch active. It has the same as fitbit and more. It has a challenge every
month where you travel through a map and try and collect stuff it also
accepts 3rd party apps.
I love my fitbit blaze but the strap has already broken and yes I can
replace it but for £40+ for a fitbit strap it's expensive. My surge strap
also broke.
The Samsung watch just seems right for me now as it has better
notifications and I can have Spotify on it, I'm however not deleting the
fitbit app as I like the female health tracker.

I do a lot of weekly challenges with my mates on the Fitbit app. I think it would be really cool to monthly one

Hi @AlexBarreras ! Great suggestion. I've moved it into a similar request.  A lot of users are asking for this option, I hope we receive updates soon.

My Polar from like 3 years ago had this flexibility... this shouldn't even be something we have to beg for as it seems to just make logical sense!  We should be able to start a new week on any day we choose; I personally need my week to start on Saturdays during part of the summer for my company's Pedometer Challenge, which runs from Saturday to Friday for about 6 weeks.

BTW, I also agree with the suggestion of turning off the auto display during sleep... the watch knows when I'm sleeping so it shouldn't be too hard to implement this.  I feel bad because it probably disturbs my husband sometimes if I move around and the bright display comes on.

All in all, these things aside, I do have to say that I REALLY love my Versa!

I’d love to create a challenge like Steptember, for the month of September with a group of people. It’s a popular charity cause.

We should be able to join a group or challenge privately.

Hello,

My coworkers, friends, and family have been doing Fitbit Challenges for quite some time.  We were hoping you'd increase the amount of people allowed in the workweek hustle and weekend warrior challenges.  We would love to be able to invite all of our Fitbit Friends!

Another idea is a 7 day challenge.  A lot of us get steps during the week, but some of us get our steps on the weekend.  We'd like to be able to even the ranks a little by having a 7 day challenge!

Thanks for the opportunity for us to continue to encourage each other to be healthier with friendly peer pressure!

You should make it so members can create teams, search for other teams, challenge those other teams amin Goal Day or other challenges, and then compete against them.

My company sometimes does team walking challenges, and I find the peer pressure of not pulling your weight helps people achieve more.  Also, captains should be able to drop and add players to strengthen their teams.  That adds some traditional team video gamesmanship elements.
