Customizable Challenges (like start date, duration etc)

I would like to be able to set which days I want for a challenge. Not all of my friends work a workweek (Mon-Fri). I would like to be able to make a challenge thats like Thurs-Sun or Mon-Wed-Fri. Or whatever days my friends work during that week. Choose teams and partners.

I join challenges with people who can  get a lot of steps and others in the group cannot.  The ones who do not get discouraged and often quit the challenge group after a week or two.  It would be nice if we could pair up people so a more active person could be paired with a less active person forming a team that would compete against other paired up teams in the group.  This would make the less  active person feel they can still contribute to their team to help make a win.  This will help keep people interested in tracking their steps because a team mate is depending on them.  Just a thought.

You would invite a group of friends to the challenge, and before the challenge starts, the person who sent the invitation pairs everyone up in groups of 2 or 3 people per team.  At the end of the challenge, the team with the most steps wins.

What is the status of this request? There are hundreds of posts asking to customize challenges going back to 2014. This should be a fairly easy software adjustment. Is there a reason this is not being implemented?

Be able to create custom challenges- for example, walking a set number of miles over a 4 week period.. you can type in how many miles and how many weeks you want to complete it in!

A friend asked if I wanted to do a 50 miles in a month challenge (low I know but were new!) and I thought that would be great. She is new to Fitbit so I said I'd go into the app and set it up for us. I was amazed and completely baffled that this wasn't an option already!

We are now having to find a solution in another app which I'd rather not do. 

 

As soon as possible Fitbit, please!

My sister, mother, and I are doing a 10k in May and live in different parts of the US. We thought originally of creating a challenge between the three of us to encourage our training. However, Fitbit only allows canned challenges that you have created. So instead, we created a Custom Activity Group. However, we can only see what each other has done for the week. We can't set specific goals or challenges. It extremely frustrating and seems like a very basic thing that a fitness person would want to do, and therefore a fitness based watch should have.

 

We all love our fitbits as a watch and what they are capable of doing, but the community aspect needs a lot of work, as that is one of the fun parts of owning this watch vs another brand.

This would also be a very useful addition to the app! Create-your-own challenges would be extremely useful for longer step challenges such as two weeks or one month as well as hopefully that would cover the ability to add as many competitors as possible.

Creating custom challenges would be great.  I like the Workweek Hustle, but I’d want to customize it to only challenge my coworkers during our working hours.

After many injuries that make it hard for me to walk or run to get steps I have adapted my work out to a biking and other equipment that does not require stepping.  Really miss the challenges and would love to see challenges based on other activities than steps

I'd very much like as well if it was possible to create custom challenges with different goals, as proper sleeping or proper water drinking. Didn't start a challenge yet so have no idea about what else to comment / suggest. But I missed this option / customization when intended to start a water-drinking challenge on a daily basis with someone today.

It would be great to do a two- or three-day challenge on days of our choice, not just Saturday-Sunday.

I also want a rest day challenge! Fewest steps wins!! It’s harder than it seems.

In short, we need more customization for creativity in challenges. Thanks!

There should definitely be at least the option for a full 7 day or week challenge.  You already track friends 7 day steps, so why not make that a challenge.  A lot of people have desk type jobs on the weekdays, so can get more steps/exercise on the weekend while others who get steps on the weekdays from their work might get less on the weekends, so having a full 7 day challenge really brings in more of an opportunity for everyone.  Also should be relatively easy for you to implement as it is already there and being tracked.  After a 7 day challenge (my priority vote), then I would suggest a monthly option or customizable selection.
