Disable tap function so Fitbit device screen won't turn on at night

My Charge 2 turns on during the night when I sleep.  Quick View is turned off and there is no option in the app to disable "Tap" to turn on the display.  I've also found that the screen will light up sometimes when just going about my business.  Seems like some minor vibrations also erroneously activate the screen way too easily.  It used to take more effort to activate the screen by tapping.  Now it seems way too easy.  I would like to see this feature added to help me (and others) get some sleep and so that we only see the data from the screen when we "want" to.  This will also help save battery life and lead to recharging the unit less often; so this could be a "green" initiative too.  Does that help get this approved?  =^)

Just bought a Charge 3 and wore it last night for the first time. Because of this daft oversight, i was woken up in the middle of the night!

It would be great to know if this issue was going to addressed soon as I'll have to return it to the retailer and forewarn others by writing some reviews. Thanks

My son's Ace wakes him up the night when he moves and the screen comes on. Cannot disable this but apparently you can on some adults models is Charge 3? Needs an update!

I turn off the wake screen so it doesn't wake me up at night. But it randomly comes on when I turn over. It defeats the purpose of shutting it off if it turns on when you move at night. Can`t you make so it stays off until you turn it back on??

I completely agree with the posts above. It is a MASSIVE FLAW to have a sleep tracking device that blasts users in the face with light regularly throughout the night!!! I actually think my SLEEP HAS GOT WORSE since I bought a Fitbit. One should be able to easily turn off the tap to turn screen on function (without going through lots of menus), there should be an option to schedule this in advance according to ones sleep pattern, and if theFitbit detects sleep automatically it should be the default setting. FITBIT PLEASE FIX THIS BUG!

Even with Quick View off and the screen wake set to “button only,” my Versa 4’s screen turns on when I tap either the screen or the wrist band. I would like the ability to configure the screen to ONLY turn on when the button is pressed, no exceptions.
