Display remaining steps for hourly activity on Fitbit app

It would be nice to display in the App's Hourly Activity dashboard the number of steps that you need for the current hour to meet 250 steps.  Also would be nice on the Alta display, not just when there is 10 minutes left in the hour, which only show the number left sometimes.

I have the charge 2 and I can click the button to see how many steps then tap the screen to see how many steps out of 250 I have!

Thanks, I know. My question--and that of many others--is why not display
steps remaining at 10 before the hour? The technology is there, because
often it will say, "Up for 127 more?" or something like that. In light of
that, why not always display steps remaining, instead of, "Wanna stroll?"

Yes, please add this feature to the Fitbit Alta HR! It would make a world of difference in how I time my day if I knew I only needed one step to go for the hour or 240 steps. Pretty please!!!!

I agree! I'm pretty frustrated that I have this "goal" but have no way of knowing how far I am from reaching it any given hour.  Seems like this should be a pretty basic function.  Thanks for whatever you can do!!!!!!!

I would like the Alta HR display my hourly step count so that I can see at any time how many steps I still need to hit the 250 steps per hour goal.

Pls add steps per hour count to Alta Hr, only displays this periodically not w every hour notification. Or place on main tracker screen w overall steps.

It looks like people have been suggesting this for a long time. I wish the app showed how many steps per hour you've taken. I have the Charge HR and I can't find anywhere to look that information up.

It would be nice to create a tile on the APP to advise how many more steps you have to go to get to 250.  I have a sit down job so I try to walk each hour but sometimes, I cut it close. Even though 10 minutes prior, it advises how many steps are still needed.  It would be nice to know it in the middle of the hour without having to try to memorize step count at the beginning of the hour.

Absolutely agree. It's ridiculous that in the app the only way to figure out steps/hr is to add up the steps/15mins.  Who has time for that? It should just be in the hourly steps section listed underneath the pink dot graph.  I'm sure a good programmer could knock this out in a day.  Carpe diem!

I moved to fitbit a couple of months ago and started with the Blaze. This showed me how many steps I had left to complete to reach the 250 goal each hour. The Blaze wasn't quite right for me so I changed to an Alta HR. I can set this to buzz to remind me to move, but I can't see how close I am to meeting the 250 until I've reached it and I get a notification on the wristband. I'd love to be able to see my hourly step count either on the Alta HR, the iOS app, or (ideally) both!

For those who try to meet hourly step goals with the Flex, I think it would be helpful to have an hourly step count so you know how many steps are needed to meet the goal.

Agreed. It would be a huge benefit. I work in an office all day. Do I need to walk to the copy machine to get 25 more steps or do I need to walk to the ladies room to get 200 more? It matters in my day.

rachelsemp, I can't agree more. Does anyone know if they even read our posts? Just something like, we're looking into it or it's not possible at this time would be nice.

I agree 100%. They obviously have the technology, since it sometimes
displays remaining steps, so why not every time?

The Flex only has LEDs, there is no display that can give a step count readout.

Please add steps per hour to the Alta HR. I have changed from Charge 2 because it is too big for my wrist and miss the feature a lot.

Would it be possible to create an option for the user can change the point the notification pops up to tell me I've got 2,500 steps (or whatever the number it is) to go to achieve todays target?

I don't want to disable it, I like the feature, but there is little point in reminding me at ten thirty or eleven o'clock at night when I'm getting ready for or worse already in bed.

I would like either to be able to either change the number of steps which triggers the notification and/or some control of the time when the notification comes through. Better to be reminded at 6.30pm so i think, yeah, yes I will go for walk and take a bit of exercise, rather than just after I've snuggled up under the duvet.

Please add this feature. I really don't like big watches or jewelry, so I purchased an Alta HR instead of the Charge 2 (went from the Charge HR to Alta HR). I would really love to have this feature Fitbit!!

I agree this should be available on the Alta HR. I too want to know how many of my 250 steps are left rather than getting a warning with only 10 minutes to go as I sometimes I miss my target. Please put this in an update. 😊

I've just discovered that Ionic already does this under the "Today" screen.  Rather, it shows the total number of steps taken this hour, which is an inversion of this very request.  As such, I'm happy with that result - we've got essentially the same outcome.

Thanks Fitbit!

If it is available for the Ionic, why is it not available for all available devices?
