Friends Daily/Weekly Step Count on App and graph

I think a welcomed addition to the friends profile across all apps would be the ability to see a friend's daily step count.  This would be useful when "chasing" a friend down.  Smiley Happy

Other user data such as, distance, active minutes, pictures and other information that person has set to share with friends would be nice as well.

Idealy the user would be able to slide through previous days like you can on your personal dashboard view

Please restore the leaderboard to the dashboard tile (much more useful than a tile that just has a shadow picture and the note that "Fitbit is more fun with friends," which is exactly why I *do* have Fitbit friends), and also restore the functionality that just disappeared 2 days ago to view friends' daily steps and activity graphs rather than just a list of their badges.

This is the kind of information we saw as recently as 2 days ago but are now missing due to a theoretical "improvement" that removed rather than added functionality:

Yes please!!!  I don't know why on earth Fitbit removed this function. I used it often.

Yes please, bring either the original  or same info in an updated format. What is available now is as much use as a chocolate Teapot 😤

Restore the dashboard to its former usefulness. What is there now in its supposed "updated" form is nothing but a waste of space. No information at all.  Restore the friends tile and all that was part of it - friend's daily steps, when they last synced, activity levels. Without all that info fitbit is nothing but an overpriced pedometer.

Yes please. This was a really useful feature

Yes, please restore the ability to see friends' daily steps.  This is a really important feature!  It's what made Fitbit fun to use.  There are pages and pages of complaints about this change and many, many unhappy users.

Please restore this feature.

Yes please. Just being able to see what badges my friends have got is not at all useful. I particularly liked to see the graphs of different types of activity. Please restore the features you have removed.

What a horrible update...and you can't go back to the original?  Who decided this?  I clicked and now I really regret it.  I won't be syncing a bajillion times a day like I used to...the dash board is awful!

Please bring back all of the daily graphs.

Bring back the friend charts! I know they have to be re-done (using something other than Flash) but get it done! I bought a Fitbit for my sister so I could see her steps and I can't see them anymore 😞

Yes please!  I used this functionality DAILY for years to do challenges with my fiance and now husband!  It helped keep us motivated throughout the day while we were at work/etc and we actually refrained from changing to other fitness trackers because of this ability.  My husband actually started researching alternatives yesterday because he was so annoyed that this functionality was removed.  Please restore it!  I go to his page several times a day HOPING to see it and getting more and more upset every time it isn't there!  PLEASE!

@kharisma  I'd even be okay with still using Flash until something better could be programmed.  It's much better than not having access to the data at all.

@daunie Same here. I use that functionality daily with family and miss it a LOT.

@Adrienna27: You're right - they should restore the Flash version and then start working on the fix now 🙂

Hi @mikemitch@Adrienna27,  thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us about having the option to see a friend's daily step count and other information, this feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here as it is not currently planned.

Yes, please!  I miss access to friends' daily step count, especially.  It's not a privacy issue -- it was up to each user which graphs to share -- and it was a feature I (and clearly many, many, many others) used daily.  Now I have no way to tell when friends last synced, which makes the 7-day step count non-useful because there's no way to know whether it was last updated 4 minutes ago or 4 days ago.  It saps motivation, and also makes it harder to monitor the syncing and daily well-being of my kids and aging parents.

So far Fitbit's reponse to this issue has been maddeningly dismissive.

With this new update I cant find my friends step count. It is still available ?

My work does a step challenge and the person in charge needs to be able to see everyone's steps counts. If Fitbit no longer has it what other source if good and easy to use to see other people steps

Please add the functionality within the mobile app to view friends daily step counts in addition to their rolling seven day totals.

Hi @DavidG15 and @snb12132, thanks for taking the time to share why you would like to see this option on the Fitbit app. This feature suggestion already exists, so I’ve moved your post here. I'd like to mention that you have the option to see your friend's daily step when you both are participating in a Fitbit Challenge@snb12132 in the meantime you can check the average steps per day of your friends if you go to their profiles too. This is not currently planned at this moment. You can keep adding your votes to this suggestion so we can keep tracking this request overtime. Learn more about how Fitbit decides what suggestions get released in our FAQs. I hope to see you around.

There really should be an option to share more data analytics with select friends. I'm doing a challenge with my brother and father to keep us all accountable and we want to track each others' analytics, not just see their steps, etc.

This can be done a couple of ways...more customizable challenges, or a more permanent sharing feature where you can control exactly what is shared.

I have to imagine I'm not the first to suggest such a feature.
