Integrate with iOS Health

Hi there,

I'm really excited about Apple's announcement of the Health App in iOS 8 to be release this fall.  I'm looking forward to seeing a product announcement by Fitbit for a successor to the recalled Fitbit Force, and I'm really hoping to hear some exciting news about Fitbits intigration with Apple's new Health App to be released alongside iOS 8 this fall.

This is a huge oportunity to make your devices even smarter and more integrated - Please support these APIs!  Thanks!

PLEASE integrate with iOS 10.  I can't see any reason why you wouldn't-- I'd venture to say that more than half of your customer base use iPhones, it would be a great gesture to build loyalty and would probably attract a whole new segment of the market-- those who are holding out on buying the Apple Watch for whatever reason, as well as iPhone users not quite satisfied with non-Fitbit products, but keep them because of their data integration capabilities.  I see no downside to this.

It would make my life so much better and easier if Fitbit and iOS Apple would be seamlessly integrated.  I love my Apple products but hate the dumb rings they use for progress.  I love being able to see my steps etc and dashboard.  I just purchased the Flex2 with all the fashion accessories and can't wait to try it out!

Can't wait to see how or if my brand new Flex2 that I purchased with the necklace and bracelet accessories will interface or not with my iOS Apple 7Plus iPhone and series 1 Apple Watch.

Everyone requesting integration, keep in mind this post is over 2 years old and Fitbit has made the ecosystem MORE closed since this thread was started by removing Microsoft Vault integration. Based on Fitbit's previous actions, the likelihood for Apple HealthKit integration is very low to non-existent. If integration is important to you and you've just purchased a Fitbit, your best bet is to return the Fitbit and get something else. (I recommend the Apple Watch.) If you don't like only using the Apple Watch rings, try using the dashboards in HealthKit or even other apps such as Jawbone's UP which integrates nicely with HealthKit and allows you to use it even if you do not have a Jawbone product.

In all honesty if they can't do something as simple as connecting my fitbit stats with HealthKit I might be looking into an Apple Watch instead.

I've found it no less accurate than FitBit. None of them are 'accurate' to any scientific degree - they just give you an idea about how active you have been.

The apple watch is far superior to the fitbit.  Fitbit is noted for having the least accurate step counter, and heart-rate monitor.  The newer apple watch allows you to track swimming, and has a built in GPS.  I've owned two fitbits, two Withings, and one jawbone.  There is no comparison to the apple watch in terms of function, and accuracy.  Of course you pay more more for that privilege.

Adding my voice to the 4000+ here. I would appreciate if Fitbit synced with Apple health.  I don't need accuracy down to the fraction of a meter, single step or heartbeat to get the motivational benefit of seeing my Fitbit exercise reflected in my phone's native app.

does this work like a petition? 🙂 do we need 10,000 voices to ask before Fitbit will do it?

Can you comment on why Fitbit hasn't synced with Apple Health yet? Fitbit is one of the biggest players in the wearables market and it shocks me they don't connect with the market's biggest platform- Apple's iPhone/IOS. Is there a particular reason why or something I'm not understanding?

The main reason why Fitbit does not support apple health?

They make most of their money selling the health data that your Fitbit collects to third parties. If they share it, it will have less value. This coupled with selling customers premium services places more money in their coffers than selling their products.

Seriously?? Fitbit sell data collected ?? Hey Fitbit do you ??
Mikey1234

They absolutely do sell it.  Now they promise that no one will know that it's specifically your data, but they do sell collective data.
