Integration with Google Fit

I'd very much like my fitbit data available in Google Fit. I use a different app for food logging, but Fitbit's step counter, sleep tracker, and aria are great.

If their data was available through the new Google Fit it would be fantastic.

I agree, Google Fit Integration would be ideal. I just got a Charge 2 thinking "of course it'll sync with Google Fit, it's obvious".. nope.. I was wrong.

I would love to see data synchronization between fitbit and Google fit apps. I'm sure others do as well but I use more than just fitbit to keep track of my exercising routine. Being able to synchronize Google fit into my fitbit app would keep me on top of my game, because my other apps are able to synchronize data into Google fit.

Please put in place compatibility between Google Fit and Fitbit. Your software on its own is not very useful. Thank you.

It seems they have no interest in what we'd like to happen. Zero response in two years.

Please do so, this request is older than 2 years and quite easy to solve!

Maybe it's time to return my FitBit and purchase something that's compatible.

After seeing this subject has been opened for YEARS, it seems that Fitbit has already made up its mind and is confident that when left with a decision people will choose Fitbit.  Though I thank Fitbit for making me more fitness conscience, I resent that they are making me choose between my golf/fitness watch and Charge HR.

Wouldn't mind using my android smartwatch to challenge friends to step contests.

If Fitbit were listening to us then this would be implemented by now.. They will just keep losing customers at this rate

Not sure this will be any use, but I would also like to see Garmin data (all of them!) synced to my Fitbit account. Either that or Fitbit should come out with a product that does everything the Forerunner 735 does (including counting real energy expenditure in water (with a belt)) and GPS.

I hope Fitbit listens!

I agree with those who said that it should be a premium feature, Fitbit clearly has an interest in selling their own trackers and not make free apps for users of other companies' trackers.

There are different Items that are at stake here .... Obviously the money, there is a way around this.

Fitbit is very good at social exersice motivation and bringing that together with both their pc dashboard and their app  (great job!!!)

For the majority of people (and those they are trying to attract) the tracking is sufficient to get them motivated / started,   However they are not attracting the hard core fitness crowd.  As I see it they have three options ...

  1. Keep placifying people with, "we care, we are listening to you" comment areas, like the one I am typing in now.
  2.  Add additional product lines with higher precision tracking.
  3. OR continue as they are.

IF they chose to stay where they are, they can still profit from people that need more precise tracking By "charging" for their app (pretty data point dashboard).

For those that have purchased a fitbit brand product, of course the fees or costs are waived for as long at they are ACTIVELY USING a fitbit product.  However if someone wants to have the use of the app and great dashboard and wants to combine all of their health stats and tracking then the app would cost $x.xx a month or a year.

Here are some guessing numbers... if fitbits average product cost is $100.00 and their over all profit is say $30 per unit over time...  then  just adding the option to purchase the app at $1.99 a month, gives them a profit of $48 per consumer over 2 years  (obviously there is way more involved but this is a possible route for them to take if they are not going to offer more precise product.)

This is likely a futile excersise given that in two years nothing happened suggesting it is a decision rather than a technical difficulty (even the cheapo Xiaomi Mi Band syncs with Google Fit) however I'll add my voice to the +1100 people who found this post and are requesting this integration and the multitude who didn't go this far and are just surprised and maybe disappointed that this is not a standard feature with their Fitbit device. Smiley Frustrated

Just owning a brand new Charge 2. Just wondered why it's not compatible with Google Fit. The Fitbit dashboard is quite nice, but data analysis is more detailed in Google Fit.

I would very much like to see this integration. Especially in light of today's annoucement of Google Fit's integration with Google Calendar. Would be great to see my info. in my calendar.

I'd also like to see Google Fit integration.  Seems like it would be an obvious business decision.

This seems like an obvious step, why not integrate? I'm tempted to return my new Flex as I assumed (incorrectly) that the integration would "just work".
