Integration with Google Fit

I'd very much like my fitbit data available in Google Fit. I use a different app for food logging, but Fitbit's step counter, sleep tracker, and aria are great.

If their data was available through the new Google Fit it would be fantastic.

It would be nice if fitbit would sync with the various platforms coming out.  Fitbit customers have their own preferences that would meet their needs.  I personally prefer apple's HealthKit, but will probably just switch trackers.

Please add this. Or even the ability to sync my Fitbit Zip directly with Google Fit.

Yes, please allow Aria weight data to sync to Google Fit! Otherwise, my Aria scale has reduced to no value to me.
I'm trying to decide if I should keep using my Flex or let it go; if I thought it would integrate data with Google Fit I would keep using my Flex. It would be nice if the Fitbit folks would say one way or another and not keep us hanging.

Please take Integration to Google Fit seriously or at least give public feedback as to why not from your business perspective. A key part to any future purchases with Fitbit or continuing my premium membership with any solution is its integration with my daily life, and that includes my Google lifestyle / ecosystem.

I'd only seriously consider investing in a wearable fitness device if it fully supported Google Fit and health frameworks in general.

Please support Google Fit APIs as soon as possible.

I really want to get a Charge HR when they are released but if they are not integrated with Google Fit when they are released, I may have to look at other tracking options.

It would be lovely for the app to sync to the Google Fit platform. The way the app has been progressing lately is incredible and I would love that. Please consider it Fitbit

It's pretty simple really, if fitbit doesn't start integrating with something you're locking yourself out of the entire smartwatch market. A market that MANY folks, including me, will be entering at Christmas time.

I've owned three fitbit devices and it's time for a new one. H.R. monitoring is an absolute requirement for me going forward and you don't offer a product with it. You also don't integrate with anyone who DOES offer it.

So it's simple. Your industry is evolving and if you don't evolve with it you'll be left behind and eventually die.

Oh, and no I'm not waiting for the new FitBit Surge or Charge either. I have little confidence that they will be delivered as scheduled or that they will work as advertised. The whole debacle with the Fitbit Force puts your ability to deliver this kind of product in doubt.

Adapt or Die Fitbit, Adapt or Die.

Count me in! I would too love to see Google Fit integration straight from the Fitbit i always carry on me, or from the Fitbit cloud. Either way is good, but to avoid the hassle of double booked steps (and two apps running on the same phone, essentially doing the same thing), i would suggest the Fitbit talk straight with the app.

Thanks for making a great pedometer (and stairometer 🙂

I've had my original Fitbit for years now and love it but it's on its last legs.  As I go looking for new fitness trackers, I'm wanting more out of it.  Google Fit is the obvious choice for me and I'd probably end up buying a Surge, but if there's not more integration outside of the Fitbit app itself I might end up going with the Microsoft Band, the new Jawbone uP3 or wait a bit longer until the second wave of Android Wear devices come out.  You guys were first to market with an all in one, inexpensive, good solution so I'd like to keep giving you my money but I need more options and accessibility across a number of platforms as I try to get my health more in control, not my weight.  The more open options a product has, the more likely I am to choose it this time around.

Offer a Sync Service through your Premium subscription and there will be more people (like me) signing up for Premium.  Right now I don't care what is being offered by Premium - it's just bells and whistles.  But I would be interested in real useful tools, and syncing between other services is very useful.

I'm never going to use just 1 platform.  I do too many things that one platform just can't cover.  BUT I like thinking of Fitbit as my hub for data.

Relying on 3rd party sync sites is perilous at best.  Anytime the two services that are being synced change something - the sync service breaks.  This is the case with Fitdatasync.com.  Since the programmer of this site is MIA, we who have been using it are left with orphaned data that requires too much effort to enter by hand.

Some of us were discussing this on another thread that since Fitbit changed something with their code we can no longer move our data over to Fitbit with ease -

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Third-Party-Integrations/FitDataSync-with-Garmin-Connect-not-working...

Those of us with data from Garmin, Strava, Nike, Runkeeper, Sports Tracker, Endomondo, MapMyRun, Google Fit, MS Band etc, would all benefit from a Sync Service we'd gladly pay for.

I agree!! I would totally pay for premium, if it provided syncing service. I'm a runner, and I prefer my Garmin for tracking my runs, but I want my steps credited on Fitbit. I wear both when I run, but no matter how I try to calibrate my fitbit, the mileage is always off.

Additionally, I also sync my Garmin data to Strava, because that site allows me to keep track of mileage on my shoes.

PS - I just recently got my Charge as a replacement for the Force and I love it.
