Let us delete in-app notifications/messages

This is clogging up my iphone. I have a year or more worth of useless Fitbit notification messages I'd like to shed. I saw a 'solved' notice in here from a year ago stating it was resolved by stating there is no solution. This is simply ignoring the myriads of request/votes of customer requests/concerns to fix it. Fitbit should have had a REAL solution by now and apparently do not. In reality this problem has not been resolved but simply is being ignored by the company/moderator. The solution 'solved' to put a vote in ideas does not address the real concern or issue at hand. What's the point of a community forum if Fitbit does not listen to its customers? The thread should have flagged Fitbit/moderator to produce a real fix, we're still waiting.

Yes I totally agree, its frustrating and I hate opening the app every day and seeing the notification button for the same message that is over 3 weeks old.

Thanks

Over 3 weeks? You're lucky! I have notifications from 4/7/17-11/11/17 which is when I found out how to turn them off.

I synched an old Fit Bit to my account and I got excited as the notifications were gone, but as soon as it finished synching -- there they were again. Bummer!

Figures, guess we'll just have wait until the despots running Fitbit purge the notifications OR they LISTEN and allow us to delete them. If you open the header "Let us delete..." you get to the moderator and vote! Vote often and tell your friends!

I didn’t manage to delete the old ones - I only managed to prevent more coming! I went into the Fitbit.com website and found the little ‘gear’ icon, settings etc

And that is in error. I have more than 100 notifications that I can not remove. There were at least 3 per day from 8/7-11/11. That's 96 days and at least 288 notifications I can not delete. Good thing I turned them off 11/12!

Thank you! So well said! I figured out how to stop the notifications, but sadly it was at a point when I have less than 100 on my dashboard - probably about 80 of them. So now I wonder if these will ever go away! May be stuck with them forever I guess! Or until I pitch the whole Fitbit into the trash...

I don't think the counter next to "let us delete" is working correctly, as in it was higher yesterday.

I have called customer service about this issue and they cannot help. One thing I have thought of is to create a whole new Fit Bit account and start over without the notifications.

Has anyone else experienced this...I have gone to this site to vote. I click on the thumbs-up square, and the number goes DOWN by one! I click again, it goes back up by one, essentially does not count my vote! What's up with that??

Fitbit truly hates their customers! What else would cause this company to ignore a request to allow customer to delete notification on THEIR devices!!

Done that a lot. Does anyone wonder if there is a forum of people who like the notifications? I doubt it but remember we only get messages to be able to delete them. I’ve been complaining since 4/16!

That I have not seen yet, if I vote enough I will. It appears to be so obviously that people despise this, so why won't Fitbit listen? So frustrating 😡😤:double_exclamation_mark:

I am thinking about just ditching the Fitbit and going with another company. I will pay more but this is okay with me.

Aren’t the notifications part of the app? I just checked the counter and I find it hard to to believe that only 309 thumbs up have occurred since 4/15! I think I’ve had more emails asking to delete notifications than that, lots more.
