Maintain Fitbit web dashboard going forward

As an older user, my eyesight and hand eye coordination are poor. So, I prefer the website dashboard on my PC. That dashboard keeps directing us to the mobile app. Please assure you will continue maintaining both as I cannot rely solely on the mobile app. Please consider all of your customers when providing tools. Many thanks!

MyFitnessPal is actually pretty cool and syncs with the Fitbit app. It can get the fitness info from the Fitbit device and generates a dashboard that can be viewed natively on their site, mobile phones and tablets. It is add supported and for $77 a year you can get more features and remove the ads.

Overall is much easier to use than the Fitbit portal. This solves my immediate needs.

Has anyone tried myfitnesspal? https://www.myfitnesspal.com/account/create/welcome

It claims that it can link with Fitbit accounts on Android or IOS and has a web browser that syncs with these accounts, so is this a dashboard and is it included in the free version or is this a paid premium feature?

It is sad that Google Fitbit customers have to resort to absurd work arounds to get a feature that has long been a Fitbit standard.

Agree with all the comments. Using the sub par phone app is several steps back from what fit bit use to be. I am another customer that will be tossing my versa if they don't restore the web dashboard and functions.

DITTO!   This is truly one of the most mismanaged business changeovers (for customers) I've ever witnessed.  I am so sorry to see the dashboard just disappear.  I thought I had done the suggested transfer but it's appearance and lack of functionality was so bad I opted to continue to use the browser version until 7/8.  PLUS, I recently purchased a new Versa 4.

My husband uses MyFitnessPal (as mentioned by JEGL) with his Garmin and it seems to give him a lot more info. Maybe being on the same platforms as him will be better for us to share info anyway.  FitBit keeps taking away the features I use. Sure hope the website is made available again.  Seems like all they want it for now is to try to upsell you on products.

Removing the computer dashboard has essentially made data unavaulable to those of us who are close-vision compromised. I cannot see my tracker at all and on my phone it's extremely difficult. Fitbit has made it impossible for those of us who are vision impaired to use their devices. The person on the chat was of no help at all. I'll be getting set up with a different company as Fitbit no longer supports those of us vision impaired.

You have no respect for the people with disabilities who cannot use a phone app no more Fitbit for me when this one breaks the only reason I have this is that it is connected to my health insurance and was easy to keep track of food  why fix when it wasn't broken

I have been using MFP longer than I've had a Fitbit.  I use the free version, and have no complaints.

I record my food on MFP, and check my exercise on Fitbit.   Once you sync the two accounts MFP will notify FB of calories consumed, and FB will notify MFP of calories burned.

Thanks sbdriver, that helps. I have just joined MFP and using the web based food diary will be a big help.

The only annoying thing is all the ads and the push to get you to sign up for their premium stuff, but I guess that is what I will have to put up with until Fitbit comes to their senses and restores the web browser.

They are not going to come to their senses. It’s gone for good.

I'm glad MFP works for you but I am not a fan of it. Their food database
is full of inaccurate information especially about restaurant meals. The
last time I looked at it, the basic (free) subscription did not allow you
to enter your own custom foods and meals. I don't want to be forced to
rely on information provided by others that may or may not be accurate.

This is a slap in the face.  My husband has used the watch for years.  He has vision problems and can't read the app on the phone.  The reason we used the Fitbit was because of the web-based dashboard.  Thanks for nothing!

Totally agree! I just chatted online with some guy. You cannot access data for the last 365 days, only calendar years. And it will only give you averages, not raw data. I was bearing 2,000 miles for the past 365 days, and now I'll never have that information! PLUS, it's nearly impossible for someone like me with eyesight issues to see anything, unlike the online dashboard. I'll be looking for another company's tracker. Fitbit sucks.

The app appears to give me access to ONLY ONE ACTIVITY in a day.   The web interface showed me all the activities, plus I could get a tabular view of multiple days.

Does anyone know how to get the data for all activities in a day?   if not, Google has broken the system so there's no way to get access to all my current data.

What makes this even worse is that heart rate and GPS often drop out, and the only way I can find to get them started again is to close the current activity and start another.   So without the web browser I can only see data in the app, which means that I can only see the last segment of the activity (in addition to  losing previous activities during the day)

So Google hasn't just created a usability problem, they've hidden the data

Totally agree with out the web this is a useless product now.  There are items in the web dashboard that are not on the mobile.

Agree, and I moving on to something new now.

Yes, I agree. It is pain in the neck to use the sloppy user interface in the app!

Agree. Can’t see calories left for the whole day anymore. Who eats dinner at 12 midnight? Because that’s how the current app works. Unless you manually calculate how much cals are left for the whole day.

I have been logging my weight via the website for many years, and today I get on my PC to log my weight and view my progress and it's not there!  I don't do a lot of texting because the I-Phone keyboard is so small.  I much prefer logging in the website. Please bring it back!  I wonder if anyone is listening to those of us who use your products and how unhappy we've been with your recent changes?  Why can't you leave well enough alone?

BRING BACK THE BASHBOARD - ME NEED IT!

After 12 years of using the online Bashboard, I now have noting to go on, what a f#&king joke and a waste of my time; the so called app is just a summary and is buggy, I can't extra any usefully information from there!

Before Google took over FitBit, I was able to download my minute by minute steps by spreadsheet, that was stopped.  The current export, once again is just a summery, no relevant information there!

I've just bought a new FitBit as it is my 12th anniversary, since it hasn't been opened I will be returning.

I hope someone at Google will realise that some of use are not on our mobile phones 24/7, we use PC/laptops!

The web browser seemed to be more flexible and useful, plus it could be seen on a large screen.  And the app appears to only report run durations in full minutes and not in minutes plus seconds -- how incomplete !

@NeesWeb

I thought the same thing about the activity log, but after playing around with the app a bit, I discovered if you tap the Exercise Days bar above the activity, it will give you all the exercise for that day.

I HATE THIS!! I can't believe they took away the dashboard for the laptop! Why would they do this?? You can no longer add steps, see the details, etc. The app SUCKS!! I have been a loyal addicted fitbit user for years and I am going to find a new tracker.
