Maintain Fitbit web dashboard going forward

As an older user, my eyesight and hand eye coordination are poor. So, I prefer the website dashboard on my PC. That dashboard keeps directing us to the mobile app. Please assure you will continue maintaining both as I cannot rely solely on the mobile app. Please consider all of your customers when providing tools. Many thanks!

This exclusionary decision on the part of Google has turned me into an EX-fitbit user. I hope they reconsider, but I don't have much hope ... and I'm not even sure how I would learn of that occurrence.

Is there a way to export Fitbit history to some other useable form?  I have walking maps of wooded areas I never thought to take a screen shot of.

Any ideas of suitable replacement for my Versa 4?

As an IT retiree, I'm at my laptop and two desktops almost every morning. I do not find the app very helpful after a workout, wanting to see not just my average HR but its max. The max is now no longer to be found. I have to guess at it on the tiny graph on the app. At least on my desktop is was more visible. The Internet web interface was simply a more user-friendly one. Again, this is just a cost-cutting rip-off by Google. I am now looking at other trackers (Coros Pace 3). Not sure if it has a web interface. If anyone knows, please reply.

I'm not sure about MFP. Just two days ago I started using Mynetdiary. I was
able to link it to Fitbit. All of my data was imported, but the food.
However, Mynetdiary has a browser dashboard that is great and a food
database that is huge. It was simple to locate foods and mark them as My
Favorites. Both the app and the browser have the capability to create
custom foods, meals and recipes.

Must have the PC based  web interface. Phone app does not have the 15 min resolution on steps. Phone app (android) crashes when drilling down on exercise details. It does that on my other phone also (different manufacturer, different rev Android).

Like the others commenting here I will be done with fitbit unless the webb app returns.

the thoughtless changes at Fitbit since the google transition are unreal.  take working popular features and get rid of them, why? to push everyone to the now quirky app?  when it's time to replace my Fitbit, i will be looking elsewhere for sure.

Totally agree with all comments about restoring the web platform.  The ease to add & track meals - adding each food item, correcting the nutrient information when the default is incorrect, adding my own items not found on the app, etc.  I'm better off with Cronometer or even MyFitnessPal.

As it is now, the only good thing is counting steps and analyzing my sleep.  It does me NO good to track my calories - only expended.  I'm interested to know how many customers you're losing because of this decision.

I too, am very disappointed in the product "updates" since the Google purchase. The phone app was always 2nd rate when compared to the on site dashboard. Not only has the on site dashboard been eliminated, but the new app is a disaster! I have been having nothing but problems with the recent app updates. I have contacted support (several times), but it seems as though customer support has no better idea of what is going on than I do.

I have been a faithful user for 8 years. I have loved my FitBit experience up until now. I have purchased FitBits for my children and I even bought the Kids FitBit for my grandson.  I have turned other family members and friends on to FitBit. Unfortunately, I will no longer be recommending your products.

In my opinion the sale of FitBit to Google was a disastrous move. I almost feel as though your pre Google customers are owed recompense. The terrific product, with all of the features, that we purchased has been reduced to a subpar imitation.

Totally agree—losing the desktop option is a big deal for many of us. Hopefully, they take notice and business 2 bring it back if enough people speak up.

Since Google now owns FitBit it makes sense to me that FitBit maps should be viewable in Google Maps.

I have been using Fitbit since 2011. If Google doesn't put the web-app back into operation, I will be looking elsewhere for my fitness tracking. It is amazing that the Fitbit company, with modest resources had no trouble maintaining phone apps and the website. But Google, with its VAST resources cannot seem to afford to maintain what's already there.

Has anyone successfully run the Fitbit App on a Windows machine?  It would still be the same lousy app, but it would at least have a real keyboard and hopefully a larger window

Sorry to tell you, but it has been about 7 years., maybe longer, since there has been any update to the web dashboard..

@NeesWebYes.  It wasn't the easiest thing to figure out, but it can be done by installing a thing called Bluestacks.  But Bluestacks isn't able to use the computer's bluetooth, and that means you cannot sync when running the app this way.  The workaround is to use the app on a PHONE for syncing purposes only.

Carb Manager is a much better food logging program. User friendly and
stmyncs with fitbit.

this is the primary issue lately - the FitBit app stopped working on
Windows computers this month, much to our dismay. I was diagnosed with
Type 2 Diabetes last month, so tracking my diet and exercise is more
critical than every, and I am stuck with my phone's tiny screen. Not happy.

I am guessing that the answer to the main question in this thread, "if enough of us protest" is "no". I haven't seen any response from the company indicating they will turn back on the web based Dashboard. I have already moved on to the other fitness tracker which has a very robust web interface and many more options for wearable tracking devices than Google/Fitbit.

Supporting existing customers in the way that they have been using the company's products and services is clearly not a priority for the Alphabet corporation. Much like some other tech company's, if you don't do it their prescribed way then, in their eyes, you are just doing it wrong. Get on board or you're just a "loser" and don't get to be part of our "community".

I am glad I have another option with that GPS company. All the trainers I follow wear their watches anyway. Probably for good reason.

Fitbit is over, at least for me.

I can 100% guarantee that if the web browser dashboard is not reinstated I will be switching to a different brand of tracker. A web browser component is a requirement for me. Google, why have you not responded at all to these concerns?

I literally hate you for taking this tool away from me.  You serve the Dark Side now.  Google is evil.

I share the sentiment. Pretty ironic too.

It is too difficult to see the detail on a small phone screen. Please bring back the PC dashboard.

I, too have used the Web-based Dashboard ever since I began with a ChargeHR many years ago.  One of my most important reasons is that I DO NOT HAVE A SMARTPHONE--only a laptop with which to interface my Charge wrist monitors.  Without the Web dashboard and interface, my wrist monitor will become a glorified wristwatch/pedometer until its buffer overflows.  Then it'll be totally useless and I'll revert to a Timex IronMan and say AMF, Google.

It is not clear to me why we cannot have a website dashboard along with whatever updates/improvements Google wants to make to the mobile app. For many users, the small mobile screen is difficult to read/navigate; additionally, [and I have not seen this addressed anywhere], users who do not have a mobile phone are left with nothing to support their use of Fitbit. It certainly seems to me that there is room in the Fitbit universe for both support systems. It is obvious by the number of comments that have been made that the website dashboard is vitally important to many Fitbit users; the "justification" for removing it simply does not make sense especially when one would assume that Google would want to do everything possible to support their Fitbit users.

Bluestacks looks like a good work-around but when I try to sign in with my
Google credentials, I get a message "Something went wrong. Please try
again." I exited the app and tried again several times but I can't get past
the sign-in screen. It won't accept my fitbit login because I transferred
to the Google login long ago.
Do you have any suggestions for signing in?

No matter how many "features"  you add to the phone app,  it will still have a tiny screen and a sorry imitation of a keyboard.   You are pulling the rug out from under everyone with less-than-perfect eyesight and less-than-agile fingers.

Bring back something usable on a PC.  If you really, really can't maintain a website (you're Google, how can that be?), then make a Windows version of your app that we can download like an app and run on Windows.

I even looked into installing an Android emulator on my PC so I could run the app there, but I don't have the time to figure out which emulator would actually work and whether it's compatible with my configuration
