Maintain Fitbit web dashboard going forward

As an older user, my eyesight and hand eye coordination are poor. So, I prefer the website dashboard on my PC. That dashboard keeps directing us to the mobile app. Please assure you will continue maintaining both as I cannot rely solely on the mobile app. Please consider all of your customers when providing tools. Many thanks!

This, and the lack of an altimeter in the newer Charge models, are the nail in the coffin for my 10+ year journey with fitbit. My Charge 4 is still hanging on for now, but my replacement will not be a fitbit.

If you don't bring back the dashboard I will not buy another Fitbit device. I will spend my money on something else.

Agree 100%. I also miss the way the old version calculated the number of calories you had left in the day. It was just easier, better. It helped me lose about 40 lbs and now I fee like my progress has been eroded. I'm gaining it back, not entering my data as faithfully. This is why people don't like to rely on technology.

If anybody has any suggestions about an alternative with a more "old Fitbit"-like interface, I would love to hear it.

This comment has lots of votes so hoping Fitbit is actually listening. The website says the app has all the features of the dashboard and more, but that's not true - there's no way to save a custom meal/recipe on the app like there was on the web dashboard

My Versa 3 stopped working just like that. I called and was told I have to buy a new one as it’s passed the warranty deadline.  No offer of a discount on another or anything….: Just “ you will have to buy a new one, sorry”.
I have to say that I miss everything about the old Fitbit. No friendly competitions, no conversations, no new friends…..Since these others have owned it’s gone to hell!! As much as I preferred Fitbit over apple. I will be switching over.

Goodbye my Fitbit family. 👣👣👣👣

I too (at 84) dislike being forced to use my cell phone to go after information.  I want to be able to read easily, and then cut and paste and store things I want to look up easily in the future.

But what I REALLY hate about the change in FITBIT from the web-based information to phone-based is the loss of all sorts of content, health content I paid attention to.  I can't tell you how angry I now am at Google, who I used to see as one of the good guys.  You don't care about the customers of Fitbit, whom you've now made YOUR customers!

WHY did you have to throw away something that worked!?!?  Adding being able to use the phone  when one is away from one's home computer would have been a nice addition.   But now I just feel unhappy every morning when I am forced to use an inferior product..

The ONLY effing reason I bought a pixel 2 was because I didn't want to lose access to my nearly 10 years of data on the dashboard. I'm just going to return the **ahem** thing if I can't access it from a browser any more.

Even with the 7 months of comments, you still have not brought back the Dashboard.  This was the only reason that I had even purchased and entered the Fitbit Community.  I am currently looking for a something new and as soon as I find it and has I what i need I will getting rid of Fitbit.  Apparently, Fitbit does not care that they are losing business as many comments have stated that Users are getting rid of Fitbit to get what "they" need and are looking for.  Thank you for opening our eyes and showing us that Companies do not care about their Customers.

For reasons you'll see when you watch it, I made a follow-up video about the discussion we are having in this forum. All you have to do is go to YouTube and search for "fitbit grandma". That should bring up both videos, original flavor and Part 2. Please share widely, in the hopes that the company will act on our pleas to restore the service so many of us relied on for tracking our health.

The videos are directly on the topic of the removal of the Fitbit Dashboard from the web, and the effect of that on the 👀 visually impaired, seniors, and others with accessibility issues that make it tough for us to access services on our mobile phones. The videos are not objectionable nor in violation of the terms of service. Importantly, Part 2 has a thorough discussion of those terms of service and what that means for you (starting at 4:40), that will probably help you understand your relationship as a consumer with the fitness product you purchased.

Thank you for doing this! I'll be sharing Fitbit vs. Grandma on my social media platforms. Google doesn't give an F about this user population and rightly deserves the blowback we are seeking to generate. Keep up the good work!

Hello? Is there anybody listening?

I stored over a decade of heath and fitness information using the web dashboard. I found the graphs and interface motivating and useful. Surely a company with a $2 trillion market cap can afford to spend a few hundred thousand dollars here and there to maintain this useful, tried-and-true, technology. At least in the interest of not alienating a dedicated customer base. I've purchased five Fitbit devices over the years and supported the company based on how my information flowed to that dashboard. How on Earth was this rationalized?

This is absurd. Why would you remove a feature like the browser dashboard? It is very inconvenient, not to mention that it fails to accommodate people with vision impairment. Please add back in the browser dashboard. Until then, I will switch to an app that offers desktop browser access.

I have a sight disorder so cannot see the tiny phone dashboard or produce info for the hospital now as just discovered that you have terminated the pc version. I pay for premium which now does not give me what I need. Sadly I will need to find an alternative

I think most people I know have moved away from this platform and have gone to web based products. older users dont like the mobile and want to use the web.  I have not use this platform since they day they took away the web based platform

Please bring back the summary page and stats for my Mac. It is too hard for me to try to change settings or goals or notifications on my phone!

Used to be that I was able to sig-in to my Fitbit page on the WWW to be able to see my stats for the last while, hell that is where I got help with problems from actual people for my Sense
.
Now the entire site is all gone,

Why did you the producers of this watch remove one of THE MOST VITAL PARTS OF OWNING THE WATCH?

As an older user I prefer, and need to, use the online version. The new interface is nuts.

I cannot use something called an "App".

I considered upgrading my fitbit Charge 4 but definitely not any more. Google has changed the interface and people are moving to other manufactures.

i cannot food plan on my desktop.  i have been searching for apps that alow me to enter on my desktop as its more convenient than on my phone.  This is annoying. after a longtime user of Fitbit,  i am starting to look at other options.

Hello,

How is the status on having the dashboard on the PC available.

I have bought a Pixel Watch 3 just one month ago. When i found there was no PC app or web information on my daily track of activities it made me rethink the purchase i just made. I used a lot of different apps for years, and a big screen is the best way to check and update my activities.

It is unthinkable that we can only rely on and small screen for this type of info. To check the daily process is more than enough, but in order to check my history it´s just not enough and lacking an huge amount of viewing options, starting for example on not being able to open the map on my running activity.

Not forgetting that in order to use my premium access to watch the fitness videos, it me be on a small screen. Who even thought of this? I must be able to open this on my tv or at least my laptop.

Validate what other brands propose to their users, and start listening to your own users. Most of them don't even know how to access this forum, as they are automatically sent to the app download.

I just stopped renewal on my premium and am actively looking for a new
solution. I think Google need to diversify their product management team
and include some older team members to represent the older than 30 users
and include some common sense.

I just aquired my first ever Fitbit. I can't believe there is no desktop login option to view stats, this seems crucial for various reasons, including accesibility for partially sighted people. This, together with no music control function (Other than Youtube music which I don't use or want to start using), means I will probably be moving to another manufactuerers product and not returning.
