Maintain Fitbit web dashboard going forward

As an older user, my eyesight and hand eye coordination are poor. So, I prefer the website dashboard on my PC. That dashboard keeps directing us to the mobile app. Please assure you will continue maintaining both as I cannot rely solely on the mobile app. Please consider all of your customers when providing tools. Many thanks!

You know they say that the app has everything the dashboard does. However, that is not true. The dash board on the browser had where you can favorite your meals so that it would be easier to find. The app doesn't have that. Plus the dash board had the original way (That was way better) the sleep thing looked. The app makes it look like I sung a real hard karaoke song or if I turn it a certain way a very hard level of guitar hero. Plus I much rather look at this stuff on the dashboard then my phone. Don't have to zoom and it was easier on the eyes in the morning.

Fitbit telling us to voice our opinion but still no change since, bring it back !!!!

My work is about to start their new year with the wellness programs. I used Fitbit because it connected to the program's website, so I wouldn't have to manually log everything.

Working 12+ hours a day, sometimes 5-7 days a week, I am really busy!
I do these programs to keep my insurance and get a bonus for taking care of my health.

It's going to be a PITA now to manually enter everything every day for 1-2 hours on top of working and everything else I need to get done.

Bring back the Windows desktop dashboard, you've been asking us to make our opinions, and you aren't listening to a single one of us, Fitbit!

I don't own a fancy cell phone, so that isn't an option!

Unless I can get my Fitbit data on my PC - via a web dashboard, I will trash the device. There are plenty of others out there. I can not see and work with the tiny little phone screen. I also need to easily transfer my data to a spreadsheet which was always easy to do. This will be the downfall of Fitbit. "Apps" may be what all the "kids" are using, but serious users need the power, usability and convenience of a PC/Laptop. Extremely disappointed that the company went in this direction. You lost a lifetime customer.

I have used a fit bit for more than a decade. Google killed it. I consider it to be age discrimination. The only thing that saved me is that my kids gave me an IPad and now I can see the information that I need. It should not have to be that way, though.

@SunsetRunner This has so many votes shouldn't it be considered? Not to mention some of us our eyes don't exactly wake with the rest of us so that we can input our breakfast. I once couldn't figure out why popcorn was coming up when I was looking to enter what pancakes I had  until ten minutes later when my eyes finally caught up with the rest of my alert body and somehow I had misspelled pancakes to the point that my phone autocorrected to popcorn. For the record this was with glasses on. I had to get out my little magnifier card with the led light on to see it. I sometime due to allergy season in the warmer months get dry eyes in the morning so it take a bit for my eyes to water themselves and adjust sight.

Like everyone else, I'm sad about the changes Google has made. But despite
lots of posts, I don't see them restoring their former Fitbit
capabilities. So I've migrated to Cronometer.com. I can record food there
and it syncs with my Fitbit Inspire for steps/activity. And my Fitbit
synchs with my Aria scale <> for weight management
so that works out too. I wish one of these two (Cronometer or Fitbit)
would synch to a glucose monitor. Then I'd have everything I need.

@Kato93048 Fitbit definitely read / review these posts as I have had a couple removed for some reason and, despite requests to them, never reinstated.  Do they take note of the requests, maybe, but do they fix the issue raised?  Rarely.  Hopefully this post will not fall foul of the review process.

I know everyone is still very upset that the website was discontinued. I have been using the "alternative version but some people are concerned about data security.

I just wanted to point out that you can link your FitBit account to Cronometer (cronometer.com) and log your food there. It's a very convenient tracker that also gives you all kinds of information on nutrients and vitamins. Your input will then be mirrored into your fitbit app.

The basic account is free and I am not connected to them in any way 😅 just wanted to give some helpful advice.

I will still give up on FitBit eventually because Google has treated us so poorly, but this way I still can use my device until it breaks. I actually like the cronometer input site a lot better than the old fitbit site.

Thank you for the info. I just signed up.

Bring back the dashboard!!

I can't reset my "starting weight" so now my Versa 3 tells me to "maintain weight" despite being 40lbs over my goal.

I agree, the web dashboard being removed is a big step backward, for accessiblity reasons for me and well as just in general. I'm always at a desktop computer, all day every normal day. Having to switch to a tiny hard to manipulate screen on my wrist feels really stupid.

I just reactivated my Fitbit account after getting a Pixel watch. I wouldn't have bothered transferring my account to Google if I'd known of this downgrade.

I would never have dreamed of Google making such a bad decision.

It is so incredibly frustrating to watch previously available features get removed while endless users are on here begging for them to be brought back/maintained. EVERY SINGLE WEEK I get a progress report emailed to me that has a massive link to "View Dashboard" which doesnt even exist anymore!

The fact that Google/FitBit care so little about the durability & functionality of their products and the needs of their customers is appalling when theyre selling devices that people ACTUALLY need and count on for their health.

I just discovered the browser access is gone. I need to access my data to correlate some other health related information.

Come on Google ... FREE OUR DATA!!!

I used to be able to add menu items like salad components or recipe items and with app it takes a lot more effort. I miss the dashboard on my PC.

ALL of us miss the dashboard on our PCs.

Wish there was someone who could use AI to build an app to do this for us
again.

jrsmith888: Yeah no I gave up on my data. Starting with a fresh account. I could try to see if I can via Health Connect, but honestly it's not worth the hassle for me.

I wish Google/Fitbit would respond in some meaningful way to the peoples' plea to bring back the dashboard.  Just make it an app that can be downloaded to laptops/desktops.  Why is it so hard when there is so much absolutely unnecessary tech out there?  Can't they just have AI figure it out for them and manage it?  If you're going to layoff people at least put AI to good use.

As a Premium Fitbit user and Charge 6 owner, I mourn the loss of a proper Website to view my stats and monitor my progress, the functionality of a website for this purpose is far better than trying to access all the information using the Phone App and I would use it constantly.

Also it is not just about the device I use, there are many many areas as a fitbit premium user that are far better serviced by a full computer screen

Please develop a Website so that I can view my fitbit stats, and progress my health and wellbeing as a premium user

Yes this 100%. The phone app is confusing and buggy and ugly and tiny. It is a nightmare for a senior citizen with a small phone (me). Please bring back the website. How hard would that be? Seriously?

I agree.  Also, Google would be smart to build a population of sticky users.  The Dashboard was a way to keep users from switching to the Apple Watch.  Last year I decided not to switch because I would lose all of the hundreds of thousands of steps accumulated using Fitbit.   You're making it much easier to switch.  I hate using the phone app.

My favorite Fitbit feature has been tracking cumulative mileage and receiving award badges.  I proudly shared each badge with friends.   That is now gone. I was just notified on my cellphone that I reached the pole-to-pole badge, but there's no way to share that information.  That sucks.

I really have no reason to stick with Fitbit.  Google seems to trying to make their job easier or maybe draw Fitbit customers away from their laptops and Windows.  That makes me angry.

Google - you don't understand Fitbit customers.
