Maintain Fitbit web dashboard going forward

As an older user, my eyesight and hand eye coordination are poor. So, I prefer the website dashboard on my PC. That dashboard keeps directing us to the mobile app. Please assure you will continue maintaining both as I cannot rely solely on the mobile app. Please consider all of your customers when providing tools. Many thanks!

You can get some of the benefits that the old FitBit computer dashboard had
by using the dashboard at https://dashboard.exercise.quest/
It doesn't have everything but it is a lot better than the app on your
phone.

I was given a Fitbit for Christmas 2010. Over the years, I bought 3 or 4
Fitbits as they broke or were lost. I always enjoyed keeping up with my
annual and lifetime steps on the computer dashboard. The phone app is not
as useful to me. The biggest disappointment is that there is no longer a
record of lifetime steps. I had over 30 million lifetime steps when the
dashboard was discontinued. I always wore a clip-on version of the Fitbit
because I felt it was more accurate. I lost my Inspire Fitbit last week.
Now that the computer dashboard is no longer available for Fitbit, I no
longer have a preference for Fitbit. I will survey the available devices,
make a choice, and move on.

I have been using both Android & FitBit for a long time, but the recent removal of the Windows 10 FitBit app made it very hard to analyze my data since the website is very hard & unintuitive to navigate, not to mention I couldn't find a place to view or synchronize the data anywhere, let alone analyze. Google seems to have this idea that we want to do EVERYTHING on our phones, which for many people is not true. When I first bought my first FitBit, it was simply because I needed a replacement for my watch, but after learning all the features it had I soon started using it for many more things. But now, I pay much less attention to those features, since they are much harder to use than they used to be. It also seems like there are an awful lot of links on the website that take you to the store, it feels kind of like they are getting kind of greedy trying to sell us even more.

Not to mention the loss of features with the webpage that wasn't added to the app.

It would be great to maintain the website for people with vision issues.

How long is it going to take for Fitbit to fix the API problem that is
preventing exercise quest from working?? This is ridiculous. The
Dashboard should NEVER have been removed in the first place. I've used
Fitbit for 15 years & will never purchase another one as no one seems to
care what we consumers want!

You know they say that the app has everything the dashboard does. However, that is not true. The dash board on the browser had where you can favorite your meals so that it would be easier to find. The app doesn't have that. Plus the dash board had the original way (That was way better) the sleep thing looked. The app makes it look like I sung a real hard karaoke song or if I turn it a certain way a very hard level of guitar hero. Plus I much rather look at this stuff on the dashboard then my phone. Don't have to zoom and it was easier on the eyes in the morning.

The point is that handicapped and/or senior people cannot use an app with
tiny touch-screen.
Fitbit is discriminating against senior and handicapped people who have
spent some of their savings for this device.

Really fed up with Fitbit now. For the past few days I haven't been getting a Stress management Score. Not that I trust any of the figures I am being given anyway, especially the Cardio score which one day tells me I'm close to over doing it then the next day tells me I'm at risk of under maintaining!!!

As for Moderators promising to listen to users complaining about the disappearance of the web based dashboard and if enough complain they will do something about it? Tosh! How many people have already shared their views about this|?

As I am now getting on in years I cannot use the app as the figures are far too small on a small screen and the features for manipulating my data are just not available.

I will definitely not be getting a replacement Fitbit.

Fitbit telling us to voice our opinion but still no change since, bring it back !!!!

Agreed. This is total nonsense.
All us senior citizens should take our money to other platforms that do not
discriminate against seniors.

My work is about to start their new year with the wellness programs. I used Fitbit because it connected to the program's website, so I wouldn't have to manually log everything.

Working 12+ hours a day, sometimes 5-7 days a week, I am really busy!
I do these programs to keep my insurance and get a bonus for taking care of my health.

It's going to be a PITA now to manually enter everything every day for 1-2 hours on top of working and everything else I need to get done.

Bring back the Windows desktop dashboard, you've been asking us to make our opinions, and you aren't listening to a single one of us, Fitbit!

I don't own a fancy cell phone, so that isn't an option!

Unless I can get my Fitbit data on my PC - via a web dashboard, I will trash the device. There are plenty of others out there. I can not see and work with the tiny little phone screen. I also need to easily transfer my data to a spreadsheet which was always easy to do. This will be the downfall of Fitbit. "Apps" may be what all the "kids" are using, but serious users need the power, usability and convenience of a PC/Laptop. Extremely disappointed that the company went in this direction. You lost a lifetime customer.

I have used a fit bit for more than a decade. Google killed it. I consider it to be age discrimination. The only thing that saved me is that my kids gave me an IPad and now I can see the information that I need. It should not have to be that way, though.

A lot of users share that concern—keeping the web dashboard active really helps accessibility for those who can’t fully rely on the mobile app yowhatsapp.

@Weeeckie This has so many votes shouldn't it be considered? Not to mention some of us our eyes don't exactly wake with the rest of us so that we can input our breakfast. I once couldn't figure out why popcorn was coming up when I was looking to enter what pancakes I had  until ten minutes later when my eyes finally caught up with the rest of my alert body and somehow I had misspelled pancakes to the point that my phone autocorrected to popcorn. For the record this was with glasses on. I had to get out my little magnifier card with the led light on to see it. I sometime due to allergy season in the warmer months get dry eyes in the morning so it take a bit for my eyes to water themselves and adjust sight.

Like everyone else, I'm sad about the changes Google has made. But despite
lots of posts, I don't see them restoring their former Fitbit
capabilities. So I've migrated to Cronometer.com. I can record food there
and it syncs with my Fitbit Inspire for steps/activity. And my Fitbit
synchs with my Aria scale <> for weight management
so that works out too. I wish one of these two (Cronometer or Fitbit)
would synch to a glucose monitor. Then I'd have everything I need.

@Kato93048 Fitbit definitely read / review these posts as I have had a couple removed for some reason and, despite requests to them, never reinstated.  Do they take note of the requests, maybe, but do they fix the issue raised?  Rarely.  Hopefully this post will not fall foul of the review process.

I know everyone is still very upset that the website was discontinued. I have been using the "alternative version but some people are concerned about data security.

I just wanted to point out that you can link your FitBit account to Cronometer (cronometer.com) and log your food there. It's a very convenient tracker that also gives you all kinds of information on nutrients and vitamins. Your input will then be mirrored into your fitbit app.

The basic account is free and I am not connected to them in any way 😅 just wanted to give some helpful advice.

I will still give up on FitBit eventually because Google has treated us so poorly, but this way I still can use my device until it breaks. I actually like the cronometer input site a lot better than the old fitbit site.

Thank you for the info. I just signed up.

BRING BACK THE DASHBOARD!!

I can't reset my "starting weight" so now my Versa 3 tells me to "maintain weight" despite being 40lbs over my goal.
