Maintain Fitbit web dashboard going forward

As an older user, my eyesight and hand eye coordination are poor. So, I prefer the website dashboard on my PC. That dashboard keeps directing us to the mobile app. Please assure you will continue maintaining both as I cannot rely solely on the mobile app. Please consider all of your customers when providing tools. Many thanks!

I had a different model (Vivosmart 5), so hopefully you will have better luck.  My Fitbit was so much better and 1/3 the cost.

I just discovered the browser access is gone. I need to access my data to correlate some other health related information.

Come on Google ... FREE OUR DATA!!!

I used to be able to add menu items like salad components or recipe items and with app it takes a lot more effort. I miss the dashboard on my PC.

ALL of us miss the dashboard on our PCs.

Wish there was someone who could use AI to build an app to do this for us
again.

Trying to reply to Camfrey (anothrt Google/fitbit failure), were you able to export your data in the process?

That's the hardest part for me. Otherwise I am a hostage.

jrsmith888: Yeah no I gave up on my data. Starting with a fresh account. I could try to see if I can via Health Connect, but honestly it's not worth the hassle for me.

I wish Google/Fitbit would respond in some meaningful way to the peoples' plea to bring back the dashboard.  Just make it an app that can be downloaded to laptops/desktops.  Why is it so hard when there is so much absolutely unnecessary tech out there?  Can't they just have AI figure it out for them and manage it?  If you're going to layoff people at least put AI to good use.

Huh.

THAT is a GREAT idea! *Use AI to build a desktop app *like the original
that Google drowned in a sack.

Any AI-coders out there?

Dashboard was  also nice, not just because it tracked everything over to my company's fitness programs for me, so I didn't have to manually enter everything every day (which I do now, and I have to take 2 hours of my day just doing it) because I have a fitbit Inspire HR which was the FIRST generation, I don't own a cell phone or anything that has a app... so its very fusterating

Also... 2 years ago, when I started to swim for my workouts, my Fitbit HR was also advertised as something I could wear while swimming, and it would track my progress; that was a lie!

Because my screen started to fade/flicker and it still is fading (almost gone now) I stopped wearing it to the pool after a week when I noticed it starting to happen after that week, I posted on the boards here and finally a rep offered me a coupon to get a newer one, I asked and explained to them (again this was 2 years ago when the dashboard was still around) if it was compatable with windows 10 the desktop app, they said "yes" and it even showed the Inspire HR 3 on the list to connect, that was another LIE!

Thankfully, I was able to return it. They seem to lie all over the place just to get a sale!

Because once I got it, it didn't work at all, connecting to the desktop app. As someone who still owns a landline, that app was used a lot in my house, not just for tracking my work or my own personal health, but for everything.

Now that my fitbit is almost complely dead after being a fancy watch for this past nearly year (since I got a new computer because windows 10 lost support so I had to upgrade forcing me to go to windows 11 by getting a new computer because my old computer was 14 years old and windows 10 was the highest it could go, I couldn't upgrade the parts because they were all to the max of upgrades... )

I am really pissed off and annoyed. I mean, it's great tech is improving, but certain things don't need improving or upgrades when they already WORK

As the saying goes, "if it works and isn't broke, don't fix it."

I need to find something new that has a desktop app and works because my fitness journey is a huge part of my everyday life, knowing my calories in vs out.

I have been able to lose 250lbs naturally, thanks to knowing this because I didn't know how many calories I was burning otherwise.

I haven't had weight loss surgery or anything; fitness has been my life with Fitbit for the last 5 years. I couldn't have come this far if I didn't know my sleep/calories and  more, because it was that important knowing my routine and able to feed info back to my doctor

Since I've been having this issue without the desktop app since earlier this year, it's made it even harder and more stressful.

But Google doesn't seem to give a dang, they just want all the money and poor support, they don't want to listen to the customers.

Absolutely! I've been searching for my next fitness watch and it will NOT
be a Google product.
