Maintain Fitbit web dashboard going forward

As an older user, my eyesight and hand eye coordination are poor. So, I prefer the website dashboard on my PC. That dashboard keeps directing us to the mobile app. Please assure you will continue maintaining both as I cannot rely solely on the mobile app. Please consider all of your customers when providing tools. Many thanks!

These two feature requests are duplicates. Could we please merge the threads and combine the votes? This will help strengthen the case for influencing the product roadmap. @LizzyFitbit

It would be nice to have a Fitbit dashboard app for PC. I'm a senior and it is hard to read the dashboard on my phone. Moderator edit: Clarified subject and updated label... View more

One of the things that I have liked most about Fitbit is working for my next badge.  At one time, I could visit the Fitbit website and view my cumulative steps and the highest badge I had achieved.  What happened to this?  I no longer see this information.

I think this is one feature that keeps Fitbit users from switching to Apple Watch.  If you switch, you lose your miles.  I would suggest that Google make this more readily available and prominent.

SunriseRun407 I would be glad to see duplicate threads combined, to coalesce support. I am not sure how to do this, but I have posted my comment on each thread.

i have no idea how to do this, but I would love to think there are enough
comments to get someone at Google Fitbit to listen, and act. My original
comment that resulted in this thread has generated many many similar

I am in favor of combining the two threads: "Maintain Fitbit web dashboard
going forward" and "Bring back the Fitbit Web Dashboard". Who has the
capability to combine threads - the moderator or a user? As a user, I do
not know how to combine threads.

I do not have compromised vision, but I really need the desktop too.  In addition, I would greatly appreciate if we could use the Desktop/website for streaming premium content on our computers.  I do not want to watch the workout videos that come with premium on a phone.  I should be able to access all the same features on the desktop.  Just use an API.  I want to use the food tracking tool in a desktop web application, as we did before, where I could save certain meals.

As an elder user, I concur entirely with the users who want the Fitbit dashboard to be returned for personal computer use. I need the ability to download my health data to an Excel spreadsheet from a large screen. I would use this data regularly to communicate with my health care providers.

I've been using this for quite awhile. Problem is the only thing you can
enter is water & food.

100%. Please bring this back. I just returned as a FitBit user after years away. Data is the reason I want this. It is helpful for accessibility. Also, the less time in on my phone, the more time I have for activity. With the desktop version I can get in and get out. So much more engaging.

I’ve just fiddled around for a half hour getting my account going and verified so I can comment. I should be sleeping.

I’m invested.

No! This was my favorite feature! My blaze quit working a while back, and I got a Google Watch for Christmas and was so excited about digging into the sleep charts like I used to. This is so disappointing. Please bring it back!

Stepping Up

I moved my Fitbit to Google today.  I had put off doing this as I haven't looked forward to using Google for my fitbit.  I am 74 years old and now rely on my bifocal glasses (grateful for them). I am writing to urge Google to reconsider its decision to delete access to a web browser for we Fitbit users.  Being able to see my data on a bigger screen and to use a better keyboard when I need to record something was important to me. I am also trying to use my phone less often as a way to improve important parts of my physical health.  It seems incongruent that a way to view and relate to mu Fitbit HEALTH data has removed.  I loved being younger but I want to stay healthy as I age.   Please, please RECONSIDER!!!

Thank you

Kathy

Older ones or those with disabilities need a web version!! the app is way too small for my almost 90 year old father to read! all this money for a device that he cant even monitor? shameful! put the web version back asap!!

I strongly encourage Google to take their acquisition of Fitbit and its community of users seriously. We used to have a browser-based dashboard and a community of friends for step competitions. These are two critical features for user engagement. I say this both as a user and a professor and researcher in human-computer interaction. Google are welcome to contact me if they want a more extended opinion about it.

Thanks,

Mario

Well said, Kathy. How difficult can it be for Google to reinstate a browser-based dashboard? It would be much more convenient for many. I look forward to them actually listening and responding to the needs of users.

I am also hoping Google will reconsider the web-based dashboard. Out of curiosity, does anybody know how much attention an issue needs to receive before the development teams or management will pay attention to it?

I would also like to support the call for the return of the web dashboard. I want to be able to review and evaluate my data, progress, and analytics in a calm, organized, and uncluttered way on a large screen. I want to see my workouts, maps, and speed metrics in a large format. I'm tired of staring at a tiny smartphone screen like a zombie, only being able to see one piece of information at a time. The web dashboard was a massive advantage for Fitbit
