Maintain Fitbit web dashboard going forward

As an older user, my eyesight and hand eye coordination are poor. So, I prefer the website dashboard on my PC. That dashboard keeps directing us to the mobile app. Please assure you will continue maintaining both as I cannot rely solely on the mobile app. Please consider all of your customers when providing tools. Many thanks!

Agree. I am in the market for something new. It's a shame the Fitbit
platform team are so disinterested in their users needs and wants. My
husband pointed out the new devices were on sale and if they had their act
together I would have upgraded. 2 out of 10 for Fitbit!!

I am struck absolutely dumbfounded as to the reasoning for removing access to our Fitbit data on the web portal. Mind blowing! I am lucky I still have time to get a refund on this troublesome product. No time to wait for Fitbit/Google to correct this blunder.

https://dashboard.exercise.quest/ works wonderfully. Thank you to whoever developed this dashboard.

i dont like the decision to remove the web dashboard. wish they would add it back.

also, just a heads up don't talk about the mods. they are power tripping hard.

It looks like Fitbit landed in Made By Google product line with no roadmap which is very unfortunate for anyone buying the product moving forward.

Asking for web/desktop app is probably less realistic than asking for End of Life timelines, is this forum monitored by a product team who could answer or clarify ? From factory to software development there must be somekind of governance for such an industrial move

True. But it may be helpful to amass a good deal of agreement.

I completely agree, we need the PC web interface back. I work in a building where I cannot get cellular data and Wi-Fi is not an option in my workplace. In addition, the web interface allowed for easy lookup of food options (meal planning) when going out to lunch with my coworkers. Overall, the web interface is superior and was always available with the original Fitbit owners and the Google Team once they acquired the company removed after a time. Please bring back the web interface.

I totally agree with this person's point of view.  I want the dashboard back as well.

Reposting here about a volunteer-led effort to fill the gap until the Go Fast/Break Things folks become grandparents;  Fitness Dashboard uses the Fitbit API to provide features of the disappeared web portal plus  some widgets  some of its own. Whatever google does or doesn't choose to do, this can work as a stopgap and more going forward.

You can use the alternate dashboard at https://dashboard.exercise.quest/ to generate all of your reports for your health plan.  On the history tab, there is a download button or you can capture a screen shot there as well.

Thank you. I had no idea how to access this info. This is what I
have been looking for since the dashboard was removed.

I don't see a way to generate reports for everything, just Steps. I'd love
to export/download my food log for my dietician. Is there a way to do that?

Eliminating the web-based dahsboard was a very bad decision.  It significanlty increases the difficulty of obtaining useful information from the product .  Once this watch breaks, I'm definitely considering going with other watch.

Very disappointed to see web dashboard gone. That is the only way to add custom recipes. Please add that feature to the app, and also bring back the web dashboard. I have been a Fitbit user for several years now, and planned to get serious about tracking food, but you make it very difficult since I can no longer add recipes.

I agree with all the previous comments.  The only reason i continue to replace my fitbit with another fitbit is because of the meal logging on my desk top.  When my existing fitbit bites the dust, I'll look for something else unless you bring back the desktop version of food logging

My mom got a Fitbit two years ago and just turned 78. She's doing well for her age. But it would help greatly if her four kids could (with her permission of course) be able to check on her via Web dashboard. Two of us live nearby or relatively close, the other two live halfway across the country from her. We're working on ways to check on and care for our mom as she becomes older.

I agree. I used to use the FOOD TRACKER on the web dashboard several times a day. Since I type really fast, it was a breeze to log food.

On the app, it is so AGONIZINGLY SLOW.

I don't use it.

I was doing great losing weight on the web dashboard but with the app, I have such difficulty keeping track of my daily calories. Please bring the web dashboard and food tracker back!

I hate the app.
I'm looking for other manufacturers. It is probably the intention of google
to get rid of all seniors on the platform.
If google doesn't want our money, it is fine with me.
Thank you. I think it would be beneficial for FitBit to understand that the
more mature population may be just as vigilant with their health and
fitness, but have expanded needs. I agree with you that it would be a great
asset to be able to keep tabs on her via the website.

As I started writing this, I received a celebratory e-mail from Fitbit that I have earned the 7-year anniversary badge. That is amazing timing.

Google, say good-bye to a 7-year customer. I have patiently read every post in this and a couple other comment threads since Google deleted the Fitbit web-based app. In the beginning, I truly believed it would be brought back. I am dumbfounded that after many months of feedback from loyal customers, many of us vision challenged, many of us just loyal customers who really enjoyed the convenience of the web features that have NEVER been replicated on the phone app -- there has not been a single response from Google. I have now accepted that I mean nothing to Google. I have now accepted that the web-based application will never return. I have now purchased an alternative that begins with G and can be used on both phone AND web. I am making it work. I will never support or believe in a Google product again. Google, I would have stayed your customer forever had you valued me. I have now accepted that nothing I can say to you will matter -- that the numbers allow you to move forward successfully without the too-small segment of customers I belong to. Since there is nothing I can ever do to be heard by you I am finally letting go and moving on to something else.

DITTO!
Let's see if Google cares enough to even read and reject these
Googley-critical messages.
