Manual entry of Stairclimber (add floors/distance)

The Fitbit doesn't register floors climbed on Steppermills and Stair Masters.

It would be great if we could manualy add floors to our daily totals.

Obviously we are already adding steps / calories / active minutes from doing the exercise... just want to add the floors.

Thanks

I'll add my request for the ability to manually add floors to Fitbit. My most strenuous workout is on the stair stepper, yet there is no accounting for the floors. Also does anyone monitor this site? I don't see any feedback on this request.!

Very disappointed that when I use the stairmaster and sweat my butt off, more so than when I'm on the treadmill, that it doesn't count the floors climbed! I hate it when my fitbit basically tells me that I'm being lazy but I know for a fact I did more work than that. I would love for it to be able to count floors climbed on the stair master. Also would love for a more accurate read in general. When I'm doing exercises that don't intensively invovle my heads, my steps and calories burned don't get counted. I am begining to feel like I wasted my money on this fitbit and am considering switching to a polar at this point.

I am getting replies to my topic Manual entry of floors but I don't know if the folks at Fitbit are receiving them.

Looks like this has been brought up for some time and no one is reading this forum from your company...

Fitbit coders - add the ability to manually log floors!!! I live in a 3 story house and as a result I climb a lot of stairs/floors and when I have to charge my Charge and I can't sit idly by and watch it - I am still moving about and yes that means I have ascended and descended those stairs at least 4 - 5 times. Sure would be great to be able to log that!!!!!!!

It appears that manual entry to floors has been an issue for some time can
your support programmers come up with a fix so this can be done? It would
be a code for adding floors much the same way you can add distance and time
in the activities. Just saying. Thank you.

I understand how the trackers work and that unless you actually gain in elevation, your floors are not counted. I would like to have a way to enter the elevation gained when I use my treadmill. Each day I walk a mile and gain about 300 feet in elevation, but it goes untracked and its a bit disappointing. I don't care if its formatted in floors or elevation, I would just like some way of showing all the work of my walk, not just the distance and pace. Thank You!

Since the flex can't track stairs I would like to be able to manually add how many floors I have gone down. I think they should count for the badges too. Just like how we log water and calories eaten we should be able to log floors climbed.

I bought an elevated desk and have a mini stair climber which I use often. Really too bad that I can't get an accurate reading with all the steps I do throughout the day! I agree with everyone else, this needs a fix!

I have a Fitbit Flex and it would be great to manually input floors when it doesn't count them. When people have this happen we can't compete for the awards associated with floors climbed.

I want steps added to my total when I manually add the Stair Climber in the add exercise function. Training to climb the Great Wall of China for charity & am being massively short changed in my step totals because of this lack of fiction which I add seems common sense. Stair climber = steps = steps on Fitbit

would be nice to add floors somehow - there's an activity type for stairclimber, seems like an obvious field to add for that workout type, especially since most stairclimbers have an explicit readout for floors climbed, so it's not like you need to guess the total based on time+intensity of the exercise...

Yes please add the ability to add/edit floors climbed manually.

Please add manual tracking of stairs to the Dashboard and/or as a recognised form of exercise for the Zip, Flex, and Alta - which do not track stairs.

It seems a Dashboard upgrade would fix this for all the current Fitbits.

I do a lot of stair climbing at the gym getting ready of a hike from 10k feet to more than 14,500 feet. And it would be great to track my flights of stairs in hte Dashboard.

The OP came up with the idea 13 months ago. Come on upgrade it already

Yeah, I'd like the floor add as well. I've been up my stairs 7 times today and it's only counting 3. There should be an option, period.

Any updates on this? I used the stairclimber at the gym last night for the 1st time and was surprised that when I added the stairclimber activity, that the 37 floors didn't translate onto my dashboard.  Very disappointing and seems like an easy fix!

I have to admit. I was excited about my new upgrade to the stylish Alta. Now that I realize that it doesn't track floors, I'm disappointed. I may go back to the One. Perhaps at least a way to manually enter it would be an even trade off.

Please add the ability to manually log floors.  I use the Stairmaster at the gym at least once/week if not more and would like to add the floors to my Fitbit log. I've seen numerous questions about logging floors on Fitbit and surprised it hasn't been added.
