Meal Share with Friends/Family through app (rather than all inputting the same ingredients)

I would like to be able to create and share munu items and meals with my wife.  It would be great for one of us to input our meal or menu item and to share it with another so we do not have to double up on work! Perhaps besides just "Friends" to share with you could also create "Family" to share with.  We generally eat the same food and meals under one roof so it would be awesome to able to share the menus and meals we create with another to expedite the food logging process.

Thanks!!!

Definite need for this functionality. I am also surprised that it doesn't already exist. I am using other apps to calculate nutritional information for a recipe, then having to add it into my custom food. For a family of recent fitbitters, it is a big hassle for all of us to have to add all of this information in.

Please make your dashboard intuitive so we can share our created meals and food lists as we look for support for our daily food intake as well as will be motivated seeing what other people find successful.   It's seems like a given for such a forward and technically expanding company.  We can connect with friends on other levels with the dashboard and seems logical to be able to with meals/food log.  It is a big hassle to log the same meal/food that my husband eats especially when one likes to be creative and make all homemade meals.  Every time I look at my dashboard, I want to see an icon that reads "connect food log with friends" but it's NOT THERE!  What a disappointment.  Fitbit needs to be more supportive and considerate of their clients' loyalty and effort.

It also would be Nice if fitbit will contact several big foodcompanies allover european Food products and fill the database to search and find eg Dutch foodproducts.

I'd like to be able to share MEALS with my husband, also a Fitbit user.  Currently I have to email him a list of what to enter into the Fitbit log as well as well as log my own meals, which is super inconvenient and time-consuming for me.

FitBit moderator!!! Pass this on to people that can get this done. FitBit users want the feature of sharing meals with each other. Let’s make this happen!!!

My wife and I are both using Fitbit and the web page to track our exercise, food and weight.

When we come across a great new recipe, we both have to enter its nutritional data into our Fitbit profile.  Being able to share this information would be a great convenience!

Please implement this. I cannot use Fitbit for food tracking until this is added and I really hate MyFitnessPal.

Sharing meals with friends is kind of a necessity to get on here. My wife and I are both using these things and when we get into the kitchen and cook dinner, it's a process to get the meal entered in for one of us. But we both have to do it now because of the lack of sharing. So we are both having to take the 15-20 minutes of down time entering in entire recipes instead of just one of us doing it and the other making the meal. Then trade off every day. More active time for both of us (which is kind of a goal with this Fitbit thing...), making everything more effective for each of us. Rather silly that this doesn't exist at the moment. What's the point of the friends list really with out it? Just so my fiends can see accomplishments and I can tell them hello? Not really necessary, but the food/recipe sharing is kind of a given as to what is needed on here.

Seriously the fitbit still does not do this?  Allow us to share food items. It's data, we have the technology...

On the other hand.... the food database is really enough of a disaster as it is.  Look up "Cherry Tomatoes".  Why is every fast food joint that serves cherry tomatoes listed?  A cherry tomato is a cherry tomato, whether it's from Western Sizzler, Golden Corral, or your local grocery store.

It'd be cool if I could specify who I want to share a recipe with, such as friends and family.

Please re-introduce this feature. My wife and I want to share foods without having to re-enter.

I think it's a great idea we are 3 at home, and we usually eat the same meals and each one of us  have to enter all individually...or also to just like other comments said to share a recipe, this will improve food register and make it more easy for users.

It will be very useful, so please review it!

YES!!!  Definitely need to be able to share custom meal plans with other Fitbit users!  Seems like a no-brainer.

I vote to add this feature as well. My wife and I both use fitbit to track. We use a prep at home delivery service for our dinners (ie Plated, Blue Apron, Hello Fresh) which have two servings each. I create a custom food for each meal based on the nutritional info provided by the meal company. Since we both eat the same exact meal it would be great if I could just share the created meals with her instead of having to spend twice the amount of time creating it on her account and then mine.

Would love the ability to share favorite foods log with my family and friends.  I work hard to try and get the closest food item logged and/or scanned (especially scanned) as I'm pretty consistent.  I know sharing the food log with family (especially my fiance) would be a great way for him to learn to log his foods.

I would like to share my food logs with my Weightwise Program that I attend at the local hospital.  I am dedicated to using my Fitbit and wear my fitbit Blaze day and night.

I see that the free version of My Fitness Pal does offer ability to share food logs but I would rather stick with my Fitbit App for this. I know I can download the data into a csv/excel format but that is cumbersome and I really would prefer if I could just share it.  i understand this was a feature in the past so if you could see it in your heart to reinstate this I would appreciate it very very much.

Thank you for your kind consideration,  Rosemary

Let me share my meals with my wife through the app instead of us both having to input all ingredients separately. This is an incredibly aggravating waste of time, especially considering My Fitness Pal already has this feature for free/without the purchase of a device.

Hi @AminoDisrespect, thanks for taking the time to share your feedback with us, this feature suggestion already exists so I’ve moved your post here as it is not currently planned.

Most families eat the same thing, so it would be great to be able to share meals so only one person has to enter the info at meal times.

This would also give users another reason for people to identify as a family as the reasons are pretty slim right now. Getting more users to identify as a family means better demographic data for you. 🙂

Since i do the cooking in the house, I will look up the ingredients of what I am preparing and figure out portions and calories.I would like to be able to automatically share this with my husband so he can easily  have his calories figured for him
