I love the adventures that you've added but being from California, I would like to have one for the Pacific Coast Trail. Also a walk across the US would be great with a stop at each state capital.
Agreed! There are only 6 adventures; so much more potential in this area. National Parks: Yellowstone, Glacier, Kenai Fjords, Glacier Bay, Everglades, Hawaii Volcanoes
Hiking Trails: Appalacian, Pacific Rim, Lake Superior
Going outside the USA, give a badge when someone's climbed enough flights of stairs to make it to Machu Picchu. Add other scenic trails!
Love the adventures. Can we have some UK adventures please, London would be great as would Edinburgh, Cumbria, Yorkshire or Dartmoor national parks. What about the coastal paths of Great Britain.
FitBit needs to make more local adventures. This gives people more opportunities to get out closer to home. The adventures could change weekly or bimonthly to get people going to different locations. Get out, enjoy your city, meet people who enjoy what you enjoy.
Love the adventures! When can we see more? I'm anxious to hike the Grand Canyon, and hope to see the Appalachian Trail here at some point? Is there a schedule of upcoming adventures?
Those are both great ideas! I also would like to hike the Grand Canyon and the Appalachian Trail. There are also so many wonderful trails in Yellowstone National Park. As for urban ones like the NYC one, I'd love to walk Chicago, Boston, DC, London or Paris!
I would love to see more adventures as well! Urban is sometimes interesting (especially outside the US), but actual hikes would be even better! Lots of potential in the national parks, as well as the AT and the PCT.
I'd love to see a holiday challenge that runs from Thanksgiving through NYE or NYD. The holiday sare a challenging time for so many people and I now this would be extremely motivating for me and my FitBit friends!
Please add an Appalachian Trail Thru Hike Challenge to Fitbit. You could peg it to one of several existing Google Map layers (there are layers on other maps, too) and lots of available information is online for what shelters are at which mile marker, etc. You could tell the hikers where they are on the trail, how many miles the next shelter is, and who (in the challenge) is near them "on the trail." The algorhythm would otherwise only need to contain the data 2287 miles or roughly 4,400,000 steps, and 250,000 feet of elevation gain (2,500 flights of stairs).
