Are you suggesting different types of challenges (as has been suggested before) or just more step challenges? For different types, someone is bound to point out the unfairness of comparing most stats between different individuals so to preempt that, here's a modified version of my comment from another thread:
Since it already estimates your BMR you could compete on extra calories burned in addition to your BMR as a percentage of your BMR. Tracking that percentage instead of the number of calories would make it fair.
You could also compete on active minutes, resting heart rate, minutes spent with your heart rate in an elevated zone, calories consumed as a percentage of BMR, water consumption, hours of sleep and perhaps even VO2 Max.
I wish we could at least choose to share certain stats with certain friends so we could easily compete among ourselves outside the app if nothing else.
I agree. Or even the ability to customize existing challenges' goal/duration.
I love the concept of the Goal day challenge which levels the playing field when you have a group of people different step goals. However we also prefer the length of the work week challenge. It'd be cool if we could choose both or even extend it to a full week or month long challenge.
I would also like to see more challanges added. I have on and off shin splints and am not always able to get my steps in, however I am active in other ways (cycling or weight lifting). I think there should be more challanges like flights, heart rate, active minutes, etc.
I am sure I am not the only one asking for this so hopefully another MORE CHALLENGES request will get some more traction. We just started a health initiative at my office, but a lot of people don't want to just do steps, but unfortunately that is all you offer right now. So hopefully there will be more challenges and new badges to earn in the near future.
Thanks for an amazing product.

I would love to see additional adventures added (especially hikes; getting to see an amazing scene on Yosemite that I might not otherwise does WAY more for me, motivation-wise, than getting to see a NYC street full of people). I'm personally less interested in the "race" element than in the push to accomplish the distance, and do it in an engaging way. So take me on a hike in Kauai, or Yellowstone, or Iceland. Actually, how about if in addition to races (5K, 10K, Marathons) in different cities there were also city-explorer adventures. Get us to walk Boston's Freedom Trail. Take us on a tour of the highlights of NYC (or Rome, or Paris, or London) -- there's so much to see if we aren't just focused on following a given race's course.
Yes, more adventures. Actually, seeing the scenery when you go on line would be so motivating for mature or home bound people.
WA state, defender of the constitution, is a beautiful location to make as a travel adventure. Maybe we could walk a few museum (ex Field Museum in Chicago) or for the history buff a walking trail through Vietnam marches. The trails could have travel site post.
You could either earn points to move to more trails.
I would also like to see more adventures added in and around America, Canada, England, Scotland and Australia to name a few. I have done the current one twice.
Also can these adventures been done while doing the workweek hustle.
I would like to see walking challenges in different countries, I am enjoying doing the hiking trails, but they are all American, and I am English. A Lands End to John o' Groats walk, or the Pennine Way would be wonderful.
@ Bridie, your comment made me smile, because I walked on the Great Wall of China in September and it was amazing. I would love to see it as a challenge. I didn't manage to get far, but even a short way was wonderful. Thanks for bringing back amazing memories.
I would also like to see an Antarctic walk. We weren't allowed on land, but if the challenge followed a ship route and we could stop at penguin colonies, Deception Island, Elephant Island, walk past icebergs, see penguins porpoising, whales, seals etc, I think it would be fantastic.
I love the Adventures as well! I would love to see more National Parks and different areas all over the world. Italy, Ireland, Scotland, England..anywhere. All the fantastic pictures and information would be great. I also like the idea of an Adventure that takes you through all of the states in the U.S. Such as walking around the National Mall to the different monuments and museums.
Some National Parks I would like to see would be: Zion, Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, Olympic, Mount Rainier, North Cascades, Olympic, Wonderland, Blue Glacier
Honestly, I would be excited for any more of the Adventures to be added. They are such an awesome thing to keep me motivated since I don't like participating in the Challenges with others.
I love the adventures and being able to see the beautiful scenery in Yellwstone and the exciting city of New York and I have done most of them twice now. So, I would love some more; more in Yellowstone or another National Park or in another city or country. What about the Camino Trail in Spain? I find it very motivating to move along the trail and see the landmarks. I also love to collect the treasures but there is a glitch there because unless you sync your Fitbit very often during the day you do not get all the treasures, which is very disappointing. So...more adventures and more treasures please!!!
Would it be possible to add new adventures every month? Surely it would be easy to add marathons from all the big cities in the world. There is drone footage of the Great Wall. Probably some of the climb to Machu Pichu. It would keep things fresh instead of re-doing the same adventures over.
i had posted a suggestion a while back about having different locations for adventures? I live in the Lake District and there is some brilliant walks etc in this area. Not to forget about Scotland & Wales! Also, the great north run, London marathon? Please can you sort new adventures as there is only so many times you can do the adventures before it gets boring doing the same ones! Or even European cities? The world is a big place it doesn't revolve around America?
Please, please, please add more national park challenges! These are very interesting, motivating, and I really looked forward to the "stops" along the trail! What a neat way to not only motivate and maintain interest but to celebrate our national parks at the same time! It would be so cool to earn badges from all the parks!
