Hello Fitbit Team!

 

after a message of one of you moderator i have decided to make that topic.

 

I really like you products but the people using an IOS device really need more notifications!

 

So please give us more! 😃

 

Notificions i would recommend:

E-Mail

Whats App

Facebook 

and more messaging apps

It is an Thread for ANY Fitbit Device - but it is adressing the missing notifications in iOS 😉

Please update the Alta to receive more notifcations on iOS, especially Whatsapp!

Snapchat notifications would be greatly appretiated on the Fitbit Surge, as you have to view your device in order to know if someone has replied to you.

Yes, please update the Alta to include more iOS notifications, just the standard SMS and Calendar is not sufficient.  Thanks!

This is absolutely crazy. On my surge I cant even get calendar notifications from my iphone, let alone whatsapp or email. I have an ebay 'smartwatch' that cost £30 and can perform these tasks, it is completely unacceptable for this to have not been addressed yet. I will be changing to a different tracker (polar perhaps) if this is not resolved very soon. There may only be 1000 votes on here, but these people who could be bothered to take the time, as a percentage of those who are dissapointed by this lacking feature is probably very small. Someone at Fitbit needs to understand that this WILL and probably IS having an effect on sales, and almost certainly on retention of customers.

Absolutely agree with Captaincrash. I've been using my fitbit loyaly since
I got it. But every day I feel a bit more inclined to purchase a smart
watch that will give me my notifications - that's what I am used to having
on my wrist after all. (I used the pebble round up until I got the fitbit.)

Not sure how much longer I will last with it on my wrist. It's also not as
comfortable to sleep with as my pebble round was. 😐

When is someone going to update the notifications for the Flex2? (And other
fitbits)

I get messages from both What's App and Facebook messenger so it would be great to be able to choose more than one app to recieve notifications from on my Charge 2.

hello! i have received a fitbit alta as xmas present recently. I was super excited when i got a fitbit alta to replace my xiaomi band 2, however my excitement did not last long. It took me over a week to set up the device as it wasn't able to connect from my iphone at all. After relentlessly searching online forums, i had to do it  via a laptop. -1 point for unfriendly setup.

 

And to my further disappointment, fitbit alta only records notification from text. I didnt even realise that until my first week wearing Alta. Xiaomi 2 was honestly so much superior in comparison: notification available from Whatsapp text, Whatsapp call, longer battery life, heart rate monitor... left alone the cost was less than 1/3 of Alta's price.

 

Honestly I would have returned the fitbit alta had I not opened the packaging for other non-fitbit products 😞 i was so disappointed.

 

Could you please at least enable notification for Whatsapp?

 

And sorry to say, this will be the first and last time i would wear a Fitbit, and I would never recommend it to any of my friends. It is just so overrated compared to Xiaomi!

Please enable charge 2 to recieve notifications from multiple applications. Currently only SMS and Phone call is enabled.

i just purchased a fitbit alta and i use message and whatsapp all the time, so it would be good to receive both notifications instead of having to swap all the time

I had change from Fitbit HR / Samsung Note 4 to Fitbit Charge 2 /iPhone 7+.

 

i seldom use SMS and WhatsApp is my main message media and I learnt the it is not possible to have NOTIFICATION on this. Would you help to make this happen soonest possible ???

I bet ull not use the Notification on fitbit. I used on my charge n it was
very irritating when groups start a big conversation. So either the fitbit
notifies as per phone notification or does not go it at all.

Please update the Flex 2 to include iOS notifications for whatsapp, email, messengers, FB, instagram and snapchat (at least WHATSAPP and EMAIL would be good to have). Just the standard calls and SMS are not enough.

I would love more options for notification on the fit bit! I just purchased the blaze today and love that it's a fitness tracker that connects to my phone. Which is one of the reasons I chose it instead of the Apple Watch. But I love that I can get more notifications with the Apple Watch. 

My husband is deployed and we cannot communicate through a traditional text message. Facebook messenger and whatsapp are our main ways of communication. I would also like to have the ability to add more than one clock/time zone to my watch. So I can know what time it is where he is at!

Please update the firmware on Alta to be able to receive WhatsApp notifications!! I am either going to have to switch to Android or return my Fitbit, and I really love my iPhone!!
