More badges (Add badge ideas here!)

Need more creative badges and trophies rather than just the lifetime records... that could be more motivating.

Here are a few ideas:
- Badge for reaching 10000 steps for 7 days in a row, 15 days in a row, 50 days in a row...
- Badges based on active minutes/calories/kilometers
- How about some more crazy/funny badges like "night owl" for someone who regularly achieves a lot of steps at night, "out of bed" (same principle but for early morning), etc.
- Badges that reflect poor activity; for instance a badge if you don't reach 10000 steps/day once in 7 days, ...

I think that these are all ideas that could really enrich the experience of fitbit users by increasing motivation and I believe they are all relatively simple to implement in the Fitbit system!!

I would like to see badge based off of water intake. After all drinking water is a way to promote a health lifestyle.

There are currently badges for daily steps and climbs, which is great, but I think that once a badge is achieved, especially the tougher ones, then there is no real incentive for a person to achieve it again. To keep people motivated to push themselves, it would be great to see achievement frequency badges for both steps and climbs.

e.g. For many people, completing 100 flights of stairs is a great achievement. However, having achieved it, there is no real incentive to do it again, as they already have the badge. If someone has completed 200 flights of stairs, then it is even more unlikely that they would do it again - and so it goes on. This means that daily climb badges are no longer motivating.

If there were badges to achieving 100/200/300/etc flights of stairs 10/50/100/250/500 times, then there would be a greater incentive to push for that goal more often. This could also be applied to the daily steps badges.

Since there is not a badge above 35000 lifetime floors, I suggest 42000 be named HITCHHIKER. As in the novel HITCHHIKER's Guide to Galaxy, 42 has special meaning in book.  I currently have over 35000 floors, 4200 miles, 9.5 million steps.  Perhaps 50,000 floors,

made a suggestion elsewhere, at 42,000, HITCHHIKER, for HITCHHIKER's Guide to Galaxy, 42 is important number in story, like your suggestions of space stations and maybe space telescope orbits.

This Saturday as we gather in cities all over the country to march against TRUMP and in unity against hate, homophobia ,racism, bigotry, misogyny, anti-Semitism we are all going to be rocking our Fitbits and accumulating crazy steps! How great would it be to be able to motivate others to get out and march with a special challenge for the day and a special badge for everyone that takes even one step toward ensuring civil rights and human rights! I suggest a badge of Trump's horrible toupee or a **ahem** grabs back badge. I'll leave the logo design up to y'all.

Hi,

I would personally like to see more badges. Particularly achievements for moving at certain times of the day e.g A "morning mover" badge or something which is awarded for moving 2000 steps between 7am + 8am.

Instead of badges with irrelevant titles/distances why not localise them? For instance in U.K./Scotland, rather than earning penguin badges, I think people would relate better to 2 "Proclaimers" badges - 1 twin for reaching 500 miles & the second for 500 more!

I am an obsessed Fitbit stepper. I have all the lifetime distance badges that I know of, with the last being the pole to pole one. Sometime this year I will have walked enough steps and miles to have made it around the entire world. (25,000 miles approximately). Any chance you all will create a badge of that?

Doesn't google maps have middle earth as a map? Would be a great adventure to take Bilbo or Frodo's path. Screenshots of the movies on the way. Or at least a write up of certain stops. I'd totally do it.

I received a 65 lb weight loss badge and unable to access it. I also got an email but again could not access it. It would be nice if we were able to see the weight loss badges on our mobile device with the greatest lost first vs from the start.

Example:  65, 60, 55. 50, 45. 40 etc

vs

5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30

I find it that it would be more encouraging. I Love MY fitbit Blaze. I call it my life line.

THANK YOU.

I agree with others here - please create more lifetime badges for distance and floors climbed, for your long-time users

TIA

I also would like to see a badge beyond "pole to pole". Perhaps "around the world".

I think it would be really cool if you could see what percentage of Fitbit users had achieved certain badges. Particularly with the daily steps, I like trying to get as many as I can so seeing I was near a badges that only 5% of users had achieved for example would be a great motivator!

Yes, please add more badges for lifetime climb and lifetime miles...  reached both of them and it would be motivating to have more badges out there..  thanks

Incentives are what keep us going. They're what keep us motivated. What the Fitbit program is lacking are incentives for attaining food, water, calories and sleep achievements. We need more badges!

All of these areas are very important, and if they're maintained, it will improve one's health a lot quicker.

It's fairly easy forgetting to not maintain food & water because there's really no incentive to continue to input the information. It's also time consuming adding the food entries everyday. If your goals are being met for multiple weeks, the badge should be marked with a number indicating how many consecutive weeks this particular goal was maintained.Incentive Badges for Multiple Weeks.jpg

If you agree, please vote. Thanks!

For your consideration.

Congrats on your achievement. I completely agree with making more badges. It shouldn't be difficult to add more if you ask me.

Yes! We need more badges. Good idea, you read my mind.

I am 100% on board. Keep the badges coming. It shouldn't be an issue to create additional badges.

I just hit the 100,000 mark for lifetime floors yesterday hiking in the San Gabriels.  Too bad Fitbit can't seem to add any more lifetime badges Smiley Sad

While I realize that not all of the Fitbit devices include the altimeter function, you'd think that, as they celebrate their 10th year, they would have a significant number of customers who have exceeded the lifetime distance range of badges (I've only had my Fitbit for less than 2 years).

Fitbit - why not celebrate your 10th birthday by rewarding your loyal users with more lifetime badges!

Thanks,

I started this thread a couple years ago and am also about to hit the 100,000 mark for lifetime floors and am very disappointed that fitbit has not added any additional lifetime floor badges.  For someone like me who has arthritic knees, the major accomplishment is not going up 100,000 floors, its coming back down 100,000 floors (thanks to lots of ibuprophen and menthol rubs), and I would love to have another badge signifying that accomplishment.  If you don't do 100,000 why not do 105,000 which is 3 times the current highest lifetime badge?  I have tried to get a response from fitbit on this but they keep referring me to this forum.

Cheers on your 100K Pionsenay! and thanks for starting this thread.  I hear you that down is harder than up - I usually try to go in the opposite direction of the mountain bikers - up the steep trails and down the more gradual ones Cat Happy

With each Fitbit software update, I keep hoping that some new badges to extend the range of lifetime floors will appear - maybe someday.

I'm driving myself (and my family) nuts trying to "Move every Hour" for a week strait. How about a badge for that? After that I'm going to go for 10 floors of stairs each day for a week. Badges for fun things like that which are on the home panel would be a great incentive!

I'm now over 45,000 floors and disappointed that there has been no movement on this topic despite some of the excellent comments.

How hard is it to add more badges to extend the range of lifetime floors?
