More badges (Add badge ideas here!)

Need more creative badges and trophies rather than just the lifetime records... that could be more motivating.

Here are a few ideas:
- Badge for reaching 10000 steps for 7 days in a row, 15 days in a row, 50 days in a row...
- Badges based on active minutes/calories/kilometers
- How about some more crazy/funny badges like "night owl" for someone who regularly achieves a lot of steps at night, "out of bed" (same principle but for early morning), etc.
- Badges that reflect poor activity; for instance a badge if you don't reach 10000 steps/day once in 7 days, ...

I think that these are all ideas that could really enrich the experience of fitbit users by increasing motivation and I believe they are all relatively simple to implement in the Fitbit system!!

I am such an LOTR geek... 🙂 This would be so awesome! If there was a way to get a badge that equals walking the Helcaraxe from The Silmarillion, or going to Erebor with the dwarves and Bilbo from the Hobbit... or going to Rivendell and then from there to the Havens! Oh my gosh... trying not to squeal here! 😄

daily floor badges too please.  I'm past the max on both.  TY!

I think everyone agrees more badges are needed! I really like the how the badges equate to actual distances or elevations. Some ideas would be: Life tim distance: Appalachian trail, distance across USA, Russia, Africa, Atlantic Ocean, around world, and for the extreme folks to the moon. Lifetime flights climbed: tallest buildings, different mountains, (Rainier, Everest), deepest part of Ocean, outer space...

You should think about a badge that can be earned by the number of consecutive days you reach your primary goal.  If your primary goal is 10,000 steps and you reach it two days in a row you could earn a badge.  If you reach your primary goal for a week, you could get a different badge.  Same thing for a month, quarter.....  If you miss your goal you would reset and start over.

It gives people a new type of goal and would encourage people to reach their goal day after day.

Yes please! I did the 700 in just 3.5 hours yesterday, so it is feasible to do at least double that in a normal day. It is inconsistent with the 100K steps badge. I love stairs and need a new challenge, please!

Thanks

I think the number of floors in a day badge is too limited. 700 is relatively easily achieved, and there are several Fitbitters who would like to attain higher levels. I completed 814 floors on Sunday, but there was no 800 badge... disappointing!

As an IT guy (who oversimplifies things!) it seems like this should simply entail name the badges, design the corresponding graphics, add them to a table, job's done. A few hours' work!

Thanks

Definitely need more Badges and for different things! Daily Active Minutes, Weekly Active Minutes... Badges to reward decreasing ones resting heart rate, Calories burned badges could be directly named after an items energy equivelent.

Any possibility of getting new climbing badges? I and others are now 6+ months or more of no more to earn. Thoughts?

Really!!! Why is fitbit setting limits on how many floors anyone takes in a day.

I am with you there Sivaram! It seems crazy that such an easily acheivable target is the maximum recognised. But what seems more crazy is that this simple feature request for more badges goes back TWO YEARS!

https://community.fitbit.com/t5/Feature-Requests/More-badges/idi-p/1185

Really, in two years nobody has been able to add a few extra entries in a table and do a bit of creative work for additional badges.

I was in a comp where we did 1,000 floors in a day and one of the participants is looking at 1,200 floors in a day. That should be readily achievable by a fit person and really the badges should reflect this.

I think there should be away to see what badge your going to earn next! And maybe some way to show you how close you are to achieving it! I think if you are close to earning your next badge it will push you to do more!

@EFolkard I agree this would be good to have in the app.

Not sure if you are aware, this is already possible on the website dashboard. Hover the mouse over the badge tile and it shows "Next up XXX" for the currently selected badge, where XXX is what is needed to earn it. Cycle through the badges using the arrows.

Click "Quick View" at the bottom of the tile to open another box that shows all badges at once. Hovering over each one shows what is needed to earn the next one.

An even easier way is to go here. The next badge to earn is shown as a question mark. Hover over it with your mouse to show what's needed.

Thank you I did not know that! But I usually use my fitbit app for everything so for me I wish this would be more beneficial if it were part of the app!

I think this would be a funny addition to the badge section and it also could encourage people to be more active @Tommymal! Thanks for contributing with such amazing idea in the Feature Request Board. I encourage you to keep participating in the Forums.

See you later!

I would like new lifetime climbing badges, too! I find them so motivating and I'm bummed to see that I just earned the last one at 35,000.

I'd like to see badges for meeting goals and winning challenges on holidays. For example, a Thanksgiving Day badge for meeting your goal or winning a challenge would be great because most people sit around all day.

I had a steak of more than 10000 steps per day for 38 days recently and I didn't receive one badge for that. Isn't the point to hit that goal everyday? So why wouldn't there be badges for doing so a certain number of days in a row?

I think this would be a great idea @Inferno145! Thanks for sharing your thoughts in the Feature Request Board. I encourage you to keep participating in the Fitbit Forums.

Hi,

Need more climbing badges.    I got the last lifetime climb badge (35,000) over a year ago.  I now have 56,000.    Also, I think some new badges would be cool; like 10,000 steps a day for a 100 days in a row or something like that.  Maybe some active minutes badges.

Thanks!

I like the idea of badges for consecutive days of reaching a goal (steps, floor, workout time goal, etc.). I also think it would be a good idea to have consecutive day challenges amount friends.

I just passed my 1 year anniversary of wearing my fitbit every single day and would have loved a badge for that! Sounds silly but that in itself really feels like an accomplishment! Would help motivate me to wear it for another year. It's getting harder to earn badges...

There should be more badges past 5700 miles. I plan to use my fitbit for many many years to come.

As of Jan. 31, 2016 I will have walked 10,000 plus every day without missing one day for a year.  I checked with support and they say there is not badge for that.  Seems like not many people can actually say they have walked 4 1/2 to 5 miles a day every day without missing.  I would like a badge for that if I make the next 13 days.   It would be nice to have smaller badges for 6 weeks or 4 months or whatever for consistent days of walking.  Thank you.  I'm addicted to my Fitbit Charge HR.

Ha!  I broke my streak at 630 days.  'The Martian' went past midnight, when I needed just a few hundred more steps.
