I got rid of my Charge 5. I don't want to wait indefinitely for an update that may never come, with new clocks. It also wouldn't stay charged. But good luck to all of you people who are clearly more patient than I am.
I just got a charge 5 and I absolutely hate all the clock face options. Who the hell thought it was a good idea to make all these funky retro designs with huge clocks and no fitness stats… on a fitness tracker? And to top it off, the **ahem** giant clocks are all illegible, with ridiculous offset designs for hours:minutes, so if you do decide to suck it up and just use your ridiculous giant clock watch, you can’t even tell what time it is at a glance, because you have to undo what you’ve been trained to do since childhood, which is reading the time in an hh:mm format. Just give us some of the clock face options from the charge 4 for goodness sake. I can’t believe people have been asking for this since 2021 and there’s been no progress on such a key and straightforward issue, it’s absolutely disgusting.
Get your crap together and give us something functional and usable, it doesn’t even have to be new! Just copy paste from the charge 4 and stop trying to give all these “hip” and “fun” options.

This thread was started in November last year, we are now mid-July and no decision has been made.
All of the watch face designs are atrocious.
Just one clear and clean one please.
At this glacial pace it seems that a new charge will be out before a decision is made.
Does anyone have any recommendations for a different brand? I've had a charge 2 and 3 but I'm not waiting until Xmas for a simple thing like this to be considered, looks like I shall be returning it unfortunately.

Apologies, this request was started in September last year. Almost a whole year just before it's even under consideration; I think that shows how much respect the team have for us
just today bought a charge 5 (upgraded from charge 3 for gps and colour screen). The clock faces a terrible!?? There is no clear / professional / elegant faces. They’re ridiculous. It looks like people have been saying the same thing on here since November last year? Are there appropriate faces on the way in the next month or so? Otherwise I prefer to take the watch back within the 30 days and buy a charge 4.
Wow, really disappointing. I'm really taken aback by how limited and mostly terrible the clock faces are.
I seriously can not recommend the product to anyone else until there are some changes and this shortcoming will probably lead me to return the product.
The screen of my charge 3 recently stopped working (annoying as everything else still works) and it was just outside of warranty so I've money off for a new device. I am really glad that I watched this excellent video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03ZwfzjNS44 before choosing what to do. How can all 23 faces on offer be so bad. I then came here hoping that new designs would have been added since this video was posted in 2021. I guess I will be getting a Charge 4 as a replacement which is frustrating as it is currently the same price as a 5. Why on earth do so many of the clock faces on offer have stacked clocks or even worse half cut off clocks or layered stats. This is such as accessibility issue that it feels discriminatory. Why is it not possible to add something like Retro double? About the only acceptable part of fitbit customer service is replacement for shoddy manufacturing. So disappointed.
The faces are terrible! Colours are horrible and really let the watch down. I saw this watch face which is much better but I haven't got it on mine. Anyone know if this is an actual face that is available?
No new clock face. Release notes suggest there is one .. there certainly is not!
Why can't the release notes show an image of one?
The most recent comment on this thread has a screenshot of the boots page with a somewhat usable clock face... I don't see that in the gallery. I most definitely have the latest update.
When I purchased this device my intention was that it would be my go to device but now I only use it when doing my workouts, otherwise one of my traditional watches goes on my wrist.
I think I'll have to find one of the competitor devices that uses a more traditional watch face.
I think the tracer indicates stats in a different window, it also needs to have simple decent clockfaces with dates. Many are funny which seems cut off at the top!
Yes please please make more clock faces for charge 5 or open the design. All the options are pretty similar and too…much. Something cleaner/simpler with pertinent info and colour options that aren’t orange would be ideal. I loved the options for my Versa until it stopped and forced an upgrade.
While we all wait for Fitbit to release more watch faces (or better add Charge 5 to the SDK), for any one looking for a basic Stats Heavy view on the Charge 5, you can swipe up from the watch face to see all stats. Admittedly, not ideal but hopefully enough until Fitbit moves forward.
The new clock faces have been posted on Fitbit's blog. We're getting TWO. They're virtually identical to each other. Neither is stat-heavy. This is EXTREMELY disappointing!
Woooow, these look absolutely useless! SO MANY requests for new clock faces, and this is what they give us?? It's obvious Fitbit doesn't give a hoot about its users/feedback. My next tracker will most certainly NOT be a Fitbit. What an absolute shame.
There are different FitBits for different needs and I would say those that opted for a Charge 5 are more concerned about clear stats than pink/purple fluffy rubbish.
Even the fonts they have chosen are offensive and just yuk.
The only thing that keeps me with mine is because it is comfortable - please can someone give me an idea of a different company/band to try because Fitbit have lost it.
The current clock faces basically suck. Target and Slash are half-way decent, but not enough stats, and on Slash the clock is partially obscured which is more annoying than cool. If nothing, bring some of the CHarge 4 clock faces to the Charge 5. I am sure the folks who upgraded would appreciate that.
The Bloom face is now available in the Gallery for Charge 5. Fitbit taking a victory lap for releasing ONE new clockface which doesn't check ANY of the boxes users have been BEGGING for really feels like a middle finger at us.
I can't believe it takes this long to listen to your customer base ... Thanks for the new "bloom" design that's useless to me on my Charge 5.
Can you please hire more than one biased designer and actually provide some clock selections that appeal to different types of people?
This is an important part of the watch functionality and after two years you create a single clock face that looks similar to all the rest. Disgraceful - I'll be sure to voice my concerns with others to dissuade them from making my mistake.
