More clock/watch faces for the Charge 3!

So, the Charge 3 is out and there is a huge let down:

There are only 5 clock/watch faces:charge 3 clock.png

Come on Fitbit...at least include all the Charge 2 watch faces too. We all loved the Charge 2 watch face with the time, date and the highlighted feature (steps/heart rate etc.)

Whats missing:

- Faces with the actual DATE and DAY

- Faces with a DIGITAL SECONDS TIMER

Or to say it again, just include the Charge 2 watch faces. Thanks in advance.

I can see a further watch face added yesterday which looks a good option, but I can’t install it.  I’ve tried rebooting my Fitbit and have the latest software.  Seems like others have the same problem. Anyone got any ideas how to solve this?

That single recently added clock face sucks! Out of all faces to choose from, I don't like any of them. Right now I regret buying the charge 3. I'm hoping for improvements, since there are a lot of complaints. I've been a loyal customer since I bought my first charge hr, but if they can't fix this, then I guess they'll have 1 less customer in the future.

Oh, and the new face won't install either.

Mines just arrived today after reading these comments by owners I'm not even opening it I'm sending it straight back and sticking with my charge 2 as that's got the perfect watch face, time, date, steps and heart rate. Can't understand how they can't put one on the 3 especially with a larger screen now

Same issue - I wasnt able to use it. I like the idea, but need more options/faces like this one (this and an analogue version and I’ll be set!)

I really like the charge 3 clock faces but I think there should be one with the date, time (obviously), the heart rate and steps as well. It may be asking for a lot but I think it’d VERY VERY helpful!! Thanks.

It seems like what a lot of people are asking for is more faces with the clock like the one on the HR Stat face--just a clear, basic digital clock with a colon separating the hour from the minutes. This is like the basic face of the Charge 2 that people keep referring back to. Please give us this kind of clock, with the date and a stat of the user's choosing. Several people have noted that in bright light, the gray shaded hours on the current double stat face and the new Steps Date face that was added yesterday.

Please start with the basics instead of enhancing existing faces in ways that don't address the complaints people have with those faces.

We need a watch face that includes the date!  This little reminder comes up on a daily basis, and it’s a pain to have to get your phone out of your pocket each time.  Also, I think you should make it easy to switch between a “daily” face and a “workout” face.  The daily face would have an attractive time and date display, perhaps with a minimal activity loop in the corner.  The workout face would make things like a chronograph, heart rate, and step counter more prominent.  You could switch between them by holding the button for a few seconds.  That would be very useful!

Indeed it would, that's a brilliant idea.

Simple common sense.

Alas, this seems to be seriously lacking amongst the FitBit management.
They released this brilliant piece of hardware with the software and
interface designed by primary school children.
And this after the years of feedback from the charge 2 which lead to a
practical and usable set of watchfaces.
Astoundingly, the FitBit management threw away all the opinions and
work, instead of using it as a starting point and building on a solid
base.

You can bet your bottom dollar that some high paid marketing executive
listened to a whole heap of artistic designers and customer impact
consultants, none of whom have ever used a fitbit in their lives. And
none of whom would sully their brilliant ideas by lowering themselves
to read forums or even talk to users of existing products.

OK - Rant over for now. But this whole situation could have been fixed
in the first week if some overpaid ego at FitBit would just hold
his/her hand up and say "Sorry, I got it wrong. How would you like us
to fix this ?"

@daveg208I think you've hit the nail precisely on the head.  I feel terribly for the all of the folks who worked on the hardware.  They've created what seems, to me, like a nearly flawless design.  They should be really proud.

The software on the web site, that receives information from these devices, and the phone app also continue to be excellent.

Sadly, all of this great work, is ruined by a terrible user interface on the device.  My guess is some marketing folks forced the creation of this odious interface.

Such a shame!  I remain very interested in the hardware.  Absent an e-ink display, for daylight readability, it hits almost every other point I wanted to see.

Though, with almost a month since the last (laughable) firmware "improvement", and almost no communication from the folks who run this forum, I've given up hope of ever seeing this device realize its promise.

At this point, as a long time software engineer, I only continue to read this thread as an instructive example of how to create a failing product.

I guess I'll stick with my Charge 2 until someone else makes a similar, but better, device.

It's actually really sad that there had been so much negative feedback on the clock faces for the Charge 3 and very little/no response to it.

I returned my Charge 3 only a week after purchasing and instead purchase a used Charge 2. I was "upgrading" because my Charge 2 screen had cracked and I was excited about the water resistance of the Charge 3. I was thoroughly disappointed by the actual Charge 3 though. The clock faces were a HUGE disappointment, but so was the functionality of the the "button" on the side and the addition of the weather app. Both were extremely temperamental and unreliable. it's sad because I was so excited about the Charge 3.

I read recently that Fitbit shares increased by 13% after the release of the Charge 3. I wonder if that remains true after all the frustrated customers return their product.

this is beginning to border on false advertising. they released a half- finished product, marketing fantastic features and capabilities, only one of which (water proofing) was actually delivered.

iit's one thing to have a feature or two rolled out after release date to make the deadline, its another to sell half of a product with zero intent to keep your consumer base informed. it's been over a month with only a single **ahem**ty "update." i would've rather have waited a couple extra weeks for them to finish this product than get a useless half-product on time.

i paid for this. deliver what you promised.

Agree fully. How can a new model have such a limited number of clock faces. I much prefer the charge 2 options which should be included as a minimum on the new version. Come on Fitbit, we should have a huge number of screen options, not 5 naff ones to pick from!

Recently switched from using Apple and researched and purchased the charge 3.  Only being allowed to have one face with date is a little concerning.  It does gives you 2 faces with the date but really only allowed to use 1 clock face.  Isn’t there a way the software could be updated.  Personally don’t need all kinds of funky faces for it but thought I would have more options for date.  When purchasing you don’t have the option to find this out till you have it on.  I do like how it feels on the wrist and the info that is given.

Recently switching from Apple to Fitbit with a huge letdown of only one face for date that I can use on the Charge 3.

Can someone from Fitbit address why the additional face “Steps Date” won’t load on anyone’s device?
