I have had a One for 3 years now and love it but am a bit disappointed that some features are not available on it (e.g.. active mins per hour etc). Please can you make a new clip on fitbit with more features. I really don't want a wrist one at all.
I have written before requesting that Fitbit bring back the Fitbit One as a Swim Proof Tracker. Garmin offers a couple of trackers; e.g. Vivofit 4 ($79.99) with interchangeable bands or use without a band by just placing it into your pocket, or get a clip on accessory from Amazon; Vivosport ($199.99). Both are Swim Proof. Garmin trackers are nice but I prefer to stay with Fitbit. I have been patiently waiting but that wait is getting tiresome.
I would like to request that you bring back the Fitbit One but update it, please. Please make it Swim Proof, Versatile, and Adaptable. I own several Fitbits (One, Zip, Charge HR, and Flex 2) but the Fitbit One is my Favorite! I would like to see the One return updated and improved to include waterproof and swimming/ water aerobics features.
With the 'new' Fitbit One I would be able to clip it to my clothing, shoes, place it in a pocket, and even clip it to my swimsuit. Very Versatile and Adaptable indeed!
I would like to see the Fitbit One come back as a Clip-on but also offer a Wrist Band Accessorywith a real Clasplike a watch. How cool would that be? Then I could add the option of wearing it on my wrist. Still keep it chargeable. I own the Zip and have bought a wrist band for it from Amazon. Now my Zip is very versatile. I just cannot swim with it.
I also work out on a stationary bike. A wrist tracker will not work for me. But if the new Fitbit One came as a Clip-on AND had a wrist band with a real Clasp, that would be really nice.
I enjoy walking, hiking, rebounding, swimming, water aerobics, biking, stationary bike, and kayaking. I would be able to keep the 'new' Fitbit One on me tracking for the Whole Day.
Please develop a clip-on device that tracks activities, sleep quality and stairs as the minimum. The ONE is very motivating and an updated device needs to be offered for sale as a Fitbit product.
Well state Rossweisse Runner..... So many of us will be lost when our ONE dies. Even if Fitbit reads our messages, they clearly have zero desire to retain our customer base. Very sad in todays day. I am even a paying customer, I pay for the reports.
Yes they have. The One and the Zip. They have cases that clip on your clothes but you can also just carry them in your pocket. I don’t like the wrist versions at all.
The lack of a suitable replacement for the One has me taking a hard look at offerings from Garmin. If I'm going to be forced to buy a watch-style device, I'm going to take the competition for a spin. I'd buy a waterproof One in a heartbeat. 😞
So the moderator said, " To have a new Clip tracker in the future would be nice. "
Moderator, is there any hope that FITBIT will launch a new one? You guys never seem to say if there is a possibility or if you are completely done with a non wrist device. Can you answer that?
Like a majority of the comments, my vote is to replace the One with another clip on tracker. Please listen to your core users! This is what we want. Is anyone listening????
I have a job where I use my hands - I'm a florist. I realized my first fitbit which was a wrist based tracker wasn't working about 3 days after I got as a present. I was on the job carrying boxes of flowers, pushing dollies, etc. and couldn't believe how few steps I had. I thought "how could that be?!? I just walked my butt off for 3 hours." And then it hit me, it's because my arms weren't in motion. So I started putting my wristband in my pocket. It worked. But it wasn't ideal. It was bulky and I couldn't use it when I wore dress pants. Then I got the One. I am now on my 3rd. I love it. It's accurate. It's discreet. It don't need many features. Just steps and stairs. I would vote for anything that does the job of of the One, be that an accessory for another type of fitbit or a new type of clipable one. And NO, a Zip doesn't even come close to comparing.
Would love to see a product like this: Non-wrist based, clip-on wearable tracker that counts stairs. Kind of like the One. Better yet, JUST like the One. Or, just bring back the One. The Zip doesn't compare and I won't ever buy a wrist-based tracker.
Please release a better clip than the zip. I’m lucky that all I needed for my One was a charger. I got the charge 2 and wore it one day! The One is the best clip ever. I can’t believe that if mine stops working or gets lost that I won’t be able to replace. It was something you could wear at all times and activities. Even on the watches I wear I take them off I soon as I get home from work and I don’t like to workout with something on my wrist. There have been over 100 comments since my first post in the community forum Feb 8th. I’m not alone in the confusion and disgust as to why this Fitbit is the one discontinued.
Fitbit established their groundswell of loyal customers during the first 4-5 years entirely with clip based (non-wrist) trackers - Classic, Ultra, One.
Fitbit needs to re-introduce a viable product for this market segment (One or next-gen replacement of the One) or not only risk losing those customers but also their advocacy that got Fitbit success in the first place.
Wrist based trackers are not wearable by a significant segment of the population and are inaccurate. The Zip does not meet the needs of the Fitbit user base either.
"A small 2015 study had participants wear multiple devices on their wrists and hips performing different walking/running speeds on a treadmill. Fitbit devices worn on the hip accurately measured steps taken within 1 step of 100% accuracy. Devices worn on the wrist, however, were off by an average of 11 steps per minute. When measuring the number of calories burned, Fitbit devices worn on the hip underestimated by an average of 6%, while devices worn on the wrist overestimated calories burned by 21%. Authors concluded that both the Fitbit One and Fitbit Flex devices reliably measured step counts and energy expenditure, with hip-based Fitbit devices being more accurate than wrist-based devices."
For many reasons I want a Fitbit I can put in my pocket. The main two reasons being that I do not want to wear a device on my wrist and I have found having it in my pocket is more accurate.
I definitely want one that counts flights of stairs. Providing a Fitbit I can put in my pocket but won't count flights of stairs will not help me at all.
I first used the Ulta and moved up to the One when my Ulta broke. I saw the One as a great improvement and fully expected the next step for this line would be better yet.
What are you thinking? We need a tracker that is accurate for steps (as opposed to a wrist model) and counts flights of stairs. Why would you retire the One with nothing better or even comparable to replace it?
