New updated clip on tracker

I have had a One for 3 years now and love it but am a bit disappointed that some features are not available on it (e.g.. active mins per hour etc). Please can you make a new clip on fitbit with more features. I really don't want a wrist one at all.

Ive used the One for two years and it finally gave up the ghost. I'd like to get a new one, but it has been discontinued. I cant wear a wrist based tracker and I need more functionality than the zip. Please re-release the One!

@jrm27 I merged your suggestion into this one because they are very similar. Please do not forget to give Kudos.

If you just release a new clip on tracker similar to the One, there would
be no need for either post

I thought my One was dying so I got an Alta when I found out you no longer produce the One. I never wear it on my wrist, it goes in my pocket.  However, being a woman I'm frequently without pockets.  Luckily the One hasn't died, so I clip it onto my waistband, belt, or bra if I don't have pockets. It also goes in my pocket while I'm in the house so I can get my 10+ flights recorded everyday though sometimes it takes a few additional flights to get enough to record.

I do like how the alta automatically registers daily activity and vibrates to remind me to walk every hour but that's about it.  Like everyone else posting here, I wish I had another clip on item, preferably without the plastic cover that breaks.

Hello @EHMcA

Amazon makes a lovely brightly coloured One clip that is very durable.

Really helps when I forget where I left my One. 🙂

I will second @JEH1.

After close to 5 years, the One sleeve gave out on me.  I found a 2 pack on Amazon from a third party company - a white one and a black one - for about $5-6.  They have other colors, too.

I like the sharp contrast of the white sleeve and black one and I'm happy with it.  Been using it about 2 months now and it was worth it.

 @JEH1

I have bought new sleeves. My post was more of a wish list for Fitbit producing a new clip-on tracker given they don't even produce the One anymore, however. I don't even see the big ugly clip on one on their webpage anymore.

@EHMcA is right --- good heavens now even the Zip is gone.

If FB is going to claim there is no interest in a clip-on model, it's because people don't even know it existed and is actually a viable option.

Huh?   I see the Zip as still being available for sale on their site, as well as a replacement Zip sleeve.

Not that I'll ever buy a Zip again.  It's just too limited in what it tracks.

I'm wondering if the product development team is working on a non-wristband device to replace the Fitbit One. I was very happy with this device and regrettably recently "drowned" it by accident. Not everyone wants to wear a wristband and I am one of those people!! I had the Zip for years and was really happy when the One came out as I upgraded to it and really appreciated the additional features and the reliability. I don't really want to go back to the Zip but now feel that I have little choice but to wear a wristband that I'm not comfortable about to get the same features the One had.

The one is small enough that I can keep it in my pocket all day and it does not bother me. I have a Samsung Smart watch and I do not want another wrist band.  I do not wear a watch at home or on weekends and I would loose steps if I had wrist model.  The thing I like most is to be able to pull it out and look at my steps when I want to. It is not so big that I have to clip it on the outside of my clothes and worry that it might become detached and lost. It is very important to me that I do not have to clip something on the outside of my clothes or have it on my wrist.  I really like the size and screen of the One and would really like to see it come back.

Please consider bringing the One back.  I need a clip-on tracker; nothing on the wrist.  I tried a Zip, but it's inadequate because its display is not illuminated, it's not rechargeable, and it doesn't track stairs.

I've enjoyed two Fitbit Ones for the past several years, and the newest one no longer holds a charge.  I do not want to have to buy batteries for a tracker like the Zip.  But the Zip's biggest shortcoming is that it's display is too hard to see.

Please develop a new clip tracker option.  I am a huge fan of the fitbit One model and hope that mine never fails as I WILL NOT wear a tracker on my wrist.  I will be forced to leave fitbit when my One dies.  The Zip option is far to big and bulky to be a viable option.

I suspect my One is nearing the end of its life (its communication with phone / computer is getting dicey).  So I went to the fitbit site to see what was available and was stunned at the lack of clip-on / pocket options.

Wearing a wristband monitor is not going to happen:  on one wrist I wear a beautiful watch purchased for me by my wife when she was very ill, on the other wrist I wear a band honoring organ donors (one of whom gave me my wife back).  I am just plain out of wrists!

The Zip is a non-starter:  no stairs, conventional battery, size, everything makes it a poor alternative to the One.  If I must drop down to that limited feature set if offers, I could just as well go back to the far cheaper Omron I used to carry.

Please, FitBit --- provide a clip-on option with a decent feature set (stairs, steps, etc).  I can live without HR monitors, without O2 monitors, or any of the other newest bells and whistles.  Without such an alternative, I will have no choice but to walk away from FitBit.

You've made it clear that the One is no longer an option.  Why not design a replacement?  Some of us can't wear anything on our wrists at work.  Some of us prefer to wear a tracker on our shoe or out of sight.  Some of us HATE anything on our wrists.  We still want to use your tech.  Give us a reason to stay when our Ones break.
