Pregnancy setting/mode for more accurate data

Necessary:

Logging a pregnancy is a must, as is the ammenorheic period due to breastfeeding.  These drastically affect predictions making the app useless for many.  Eg. I have entered my data since 2011.  My periods are like clock work occurring every 27 days... but I have had 4 pregnancies in that time so the app is telling me that my peiods average every 104 days.

Useful:

Option to add basal body temp and ovulation data (eg. predictor strip).

It would be great if it would be possible to add a pregnancy to the period tracker.

Why isn't there an option to monitor your pregnancy within the Female health option? I've had to disable mine because I was getting weekly reminders that my period was due. Not only that, but fitbit can monitor your sleep, exercise and mood changes depending on your cycle, but pregnancy increases the number of calories needed (an extra 300 usually), the number of calories you burn, resting heart rate increases, weight gain, more disrupted sleep and mood changes. My fitbit now think's I've given up on some forms of exercise, eating more, and gaining weight at an alarming rate with no justification. I think it should be an option within the already existing Female tracker, even if it just notes your pregnant? Also thinking ahead, nursing burns more calories, and after the birth, you're periods and hormones will be all over the place. I find it strange the option is there to track your fertility, and help get pregnant  but not note when conception was successful?

It would be nice to have a pregnancy setting in female health.

Suggestion to recognize needs and special considerations for pregnant and breastfeeding women. (I.e., Weight gain vs weight loss, metabolic changes / caloric intake differences, different exercise regimes)

There are already several threads on this topic but all of them are locked.  Why are the threads locked?

Based on the last moderator's reply, I understand fitbit has no interest in creating a pregnancy mode for the female health widget.  If this is the case, I suggest you revise "female health" to "menstruation tracker" or "fertility tracker" to indicate that you are only focusing on ovulation and not what happens when you actually get pregnant.  Calling it "female health" but only making it about ovulation is a misnomer and indicative of some misogynistic thinking.

Furthermore, I understand fitbit has no plans on creating a pregnancy mode for the womens health widget, but I do not understand why fitbit has chosen to lock these threads.  If people want a feature and want to talk about it, you might as well allow them to talk about the feature in one thread.  Just put a stick on the front page saying "Fitbit has no plans on updating the womens health widget" or however you want to word it.

I'd like the Female Health section to include more! Mostly pregnancy and post-delivery information. To help women keep better track of heart rate, weight gain and loss, and more  suggestions. And maybe ways to help loose the baby weight after baby is born thru exercise, food, and sleep. And maybe a way to keep track of Braxton-Hicks, regular contractions, and any other symptoms.

Please add a breastfeeding/nursing option to the profile. We need more water and more calories and it would be helpful to have that reflected in our accounts. We also need to think about exercise and weight loss in a different way than other women and don't usually get our periods while nursing. My tracker also keeps tracking steps at night, I think because I'm moving around while nursing, and it would be helpful to have an option to track nursing so it's not mistaken as steps.

Every day thousands of women get pregnant no point to just track period if no pregnancy feature.

by the way the ovulation calculator was spot on! That’s how we conceived! So 5 star for that!!!

please add the feature ASap fit bit loosing out on a potential massively!

if you need ideas we are happy to provide.

to be honest the app could of calculated how far along I’m, if my ovulation was on the 26 and I added that I’ve missed period should straight away reminded me to take a test or something!

then it could just calculate daily and send weekly little links about the baby size and interesting things about foetal development.

links to further tips: exercise, eat not to eat etc

Been searching through suggestions to find it was suggested OVER a year ago to add pregnant and nursing. Searching through my app-I’ve found breastfeeding (as part of birth control-first off-that’s an old wives tale) but not a pregnant setting. Being pregnant changes a lot in a woman’s body and it needs its own setting.

If a woman gets pregnant she should be able to mark it in the app and pause period/fertility alerts for 9 months.

I am currently pregnant and I would like to see a way to track it and the progress of my pregnancy and make sure I am gaining a healthy amount of weight.

It also will help the period tracker be more accurate. Right now I turned that feature off as it would be inaccurate as I am not menstruating due to pregnancy and I cannot add that in there.

During pregnancy we need a different calorie intake versus those who are not and while we need exercise some of us might be on a modified exercise routine. It would be nice to add that in there. Also someone who tracks their periods to get pregnant would like to see a reminder saying your period is late it may be time to take a pregnancy test. There is no way for us to log in that information. Granted there are apps like fertility friend for this sort of thing but why add a period tracker if you can't put in whether you are pregnant or not other than to know when you expect your period. Also for some.women who are breastfeeding it would be helpful to have that added too bexause it can affect their cycles as well.

I noticed there has been a few posts like this in 2018 but no updates have been made.

Can you please make this a feature.

Thank you.

I love being able to look at the Fitbit app to check where I'm at in my cycles, but being pregnant that part of the app is essentially useless to me now. It would be nice to have everything in the same spot i.e: last menstrual cycle, cycle duration, and gestation week so multiple apps aren't having to be used. It would also be great to be able to enable a pregnancy mode that way at the conclusion of a pregnancy the app takes it automatically in consideration when calculating future menstrual cycles.
